Endless fun with this song, both from playing it, and from all of us invariably answering the question "what song should we do next?" with an angsty "I Don't Want to Talk About It" any time it comes up on a setlist or rehearsal. Always a highlight getting to make music with my baby bro and pal Al, and I'm glad we were able to get the camera and good times rolling while they were here out west with me!
Keep them both at it, Toni. _Mike Oldfield_ only started in music because his older sister, Sally, hauled him onto a stage at a small music festival to accompany her singing!
I'm so happy to be able to listen to your guitar and singing after such a long time that I could cry. I dedicate this to my brother who passed away in July.
@ToniLindgren Thank you so much for your reply. My brother loved this song so much. He loved it even in the pain of multiple myeloma. I want everyone who is in the same condition as my brother to hear this wonderful song. Thank you so much.
@@なるみ-b6zI am also sorry to hear about your brother. I was diagnosed with multiple myeloma over six years ago. I often listen to music to cope with this disease.
I bought the Crazy Horse debut album when it came out in 71' and immediately fell for this heart wrenching song. I really loved the album and I have other Crazy Horse albums with and without Neil Young. I am a big fan of both and I would like to say that I think Danny Whitten would be proud of yall's rendition of this classic song that he wrote. May he rest in peace! Thanks a bunch and a big Howdy from Texas! Long live The Crazy Horse!!
Musically, really wonderful guys. Trevor, great job on the vocals and your mando breaks. Toni, perfect as always. Your playing and your spot on harmonies. This is just one of many reasons we love Toni. That beautiful face and smile are simply 2 more. We don't see enough of you Toni!!!! Wishing all of you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy, Healthy and prosperous New Year. Hope Santa is good to you guys. Y'all stay safe and well! 🎅
I am (just) old enough to remember the Rod Stewart version being released. It is one of my forever songs that seems to have been with me permanently and I have always loved it. This is a beautiful interpretation 😍
Beautiful interpretation of this touching Rod Stewart ballad. Toni on guitar is always impeccable. The singer has a voice that comes from the heart. Well done all three. Greetings from Italy.
It’s not Rod Stewart’s ballad it was written by Danny Whitten with an uncredited contribution from Nils Lofgren and was originally recorded by them when they were in Crazy Horse.
This song always makes me cry. How many times we've said that to people we loved...until they're gone and we can't say it to them anymore. Beautiful rendition Lindgren family+ ... Well-done 👍😢❤ P.S. Wisconsin says hi and Merry Christmas 🎄😊
Enjoyed everything about this - of course the exquisite music including live stereo 2-mic classical recording that sounds wonderful on my near-field speakers by my computer, the setting with the low lighting and old-fashion parlor-feeling piano in the background and bokeh lights through the window, and Elle lurking behind the camera. The world feels right tonight. Thanks. I'll listen to the recording again.
Tony I've missed you. Glad to see you and your brother again. I hope you find new ways to get out there now that Elle seems to be going her own way. Tony your music accompany makes all shine brightest. Wishing you the very best.
Toni, as well as being an extraordinary person, always finds other extraordinary people to accompany him while he sings and plays, this version of your Rod Stewart song is beautiful!
Dear Tony, I haven't followed you for a while, besides being an exceptional guitarist, you've become much more beautiful now, I admire you a lot. Greetings from Salento, Italy
Trevor has a great voice and like lots of siblings your voices blend and complement well. It's great to hear you posting up music, wondering what you are doing with your career lately.
As a fan of Toni, I am surprised by her brother Trevor, whom I see for the first time. Beautiful voice and beautiful mandolin. Brilliant. I bought the chords and tabs. c'ya Gyani
Toni! Love the Rod Stewart tune. You guys did a wonderful job on this. Brother sounds great! Bass player included. Listened to this morning I had to play along several times on pedal steel. Also that was a neat modulation. Please keep those videos coming. 5 stars * * * * *
Very wholesome and sweet. I saw a video in the past where you covered a song with your brother back in your home town and remember thinking how pleasant I thought his tone was. You also blew me away when I saw that video of you singing tempted by squeeze. I loved that tone! No pun intended. It is one of my favourite songs and when you sang your part it made me really happy. A perfect cover right down to the" rock'n'roll! " bit at the end. Many of my family members play and there is something special when we lock in together, no matter what the song or musical style. Loving your work!
Good morning (UK), Toni. Thank you so much for posting - fab to see a new video from you. Regards to your brother and friend, too. Elle's videography is smoother than some from years ago - so well done, too. I appreciate that you two (ie you and Elle) must be busy but it would be great to see a professional update if you could, please. (Album / tours?) Anyways, thanks for this track (which, yes, I know from Sir Rod Stewart - whom I know of from before he was a solo-artist (he was in a band called The Faces)). I hope you are able to do more solos and duos (Elle and you) as well as other home-vids with your Trev and Alex - we were re-re-re-re watching Maxwell's Silver Hammer t'other day. I am aware of Elle's very-clever and much-appreciated quirky shorts but I am really a fan of you two as musicians. (NB enjoyed your two "recent" vids with Josh, thank you.) Hope you and Elle are really well. All the very best and, again, thank you. For now, Cheerio.
Oh, I love this song so much, and your rendition is very-very fine 😊 And I missed Elle until I read in the description that she was the camerawoman. She's a real polihistor 😄❤
Soooooo good!! Thank you for this AMAZING version!! Met Toni’s bro at Hey Nonnys a few years ago and he’s a true gentleman! And Toni, what can I say about you… a true sweetheart!❤ Did I mention incredible musicians?! Cheers!! (Jimmy k)

Sounds like it was recorded in my living room. That means it couldn't sound better. Thank you
so good. Smoky smooth voices, driving rhythm, clear fine melody
love it, over and over
I’m not sure it’s a driving rhythm, tbh. It more floats than drives, but it is a nice cover.
I love anything Toni does
