Gonna be honest wasn't paying attention thought it was a big youtuber I didn't know then I seen the amount of views and such and was quite surprised by how good the video is and how little views it has
I had a similar run, with the galaxy overrun by the prethoryn scourge. My empire was going the crisis route. As planet after planet was consumed by the hive, I sniped stars with cubes equipped with jump drives, turning them into black holes, gathering energy. I enforced migration policies and transported everyone I could to the homeworld ecumenopolis. The huge city-planet was overpopulated, but we lived. All of the fleet was parked in one system, so the scourge's attempts to conquer it failed. Finally, as the cubes gathered enough energy, all of the population was transported into the shroud. The red button pressed, and the game was won, leaving dead bodies of the prethoryn in the galaxy filled with black holes.
That was one of the most entertaining and enjoyable stellaris stories i had witnessed I hope we get to see more of such stories with vastly different empires
I sometimes forget how cinematic Stellaris is. I just did a game as an alternative version of the United Nations of Earth to reflect actual different nations being a single faction. I was plagued heavily by void worms and lost 4 colony worlds and both of my fleets. In my weekend state a slaver empire to the south and a hive mind to the north declared war upon Earth. The UNE fought hard and each world took multiple enemy invasions but they slowly fell or were turned into Tomb Worlds. Soon the worse came and the battle in Sol began. The UNE had a Martian colony quickly turned into a fortress world and Earth became a land of trenches and bunkers. For 20 years Earth was bombarded both alien fleets as countless ground battles were fought across the world. Mars however was bombarded but never invaded. Eventually Earth fell and billions of mankind were now dead. Only a true horror was learned. Earth was now the capital of the Slaver Empire and Mars was forced to sign a treaty to end the war. This treaty ensured almost all our recourses were sent to our new overlords as well as our people when they demanded. The UNE economy was shattered, only Mars remained, Mars stability was shattered and gangs ruled. Overtime the last remnants of the UNE were gone, a warlord had coup the government and pushed back the gangs. Xenophobia and Warlike ideas spread like wildfire among the Humans. Soon a war to retake Earth began. The UNE was now the Empire of Mars. Another 50 years passed as many worlds were fought over that once belonged to the UNE. Though the slaver empire and the hive mind had only grown stronger and soon both had returned. No longer with desires to conquer, one by one the Empires worlds broke. Till both Earth and Mars were gone. Humanity bliss into the cosmic realm, snuffed by wicked gods.
Beautiful. This is why I love Stellaris. No other space strategy offers such variety and provides so much ground to create your own story, history, even. Amazing video, thank you!
I love this game so much. On my latest run, I created a research federation (as I was playing a heavy tech civ) and invited 2 of my neighbors, one of them militaristic and the other egalitarianian but all of us materialistic. During the game, I was working on the federation to make it nice but felt like a naive roman senator when my 2 allies played politics and made the military guy the "permanent president." 50 or 60 years before the crisis, we were on costant war because of this dude, and I was able to take control back almost too late. If it wasn't for the fallen empire that woken at the right time, I wouldn't be able to save our galaxy because my moronic allies were too busy still fighting weakened empires that were having a hard time between them and the outside threat. I felt bad when their spiritual ethics made them turn against us after solving the crisis, as each of us could have easily been on our parts of the galaxy and make it the most thriving place on the universe.
God damn man this is my first video of yours I’ve watched and holy fuck this was good makes me want to try it myself. Also I think it would be extremely cool if your empire was its own mod like the peaceful guardians of the galaxy that only emerges when the galaxy is threatened by a crisis locked behind their own special lgate
Solid stuff. Very very solid. I always do enjoy seeing people give such life to their empires during their runs, and this felt very much akin to a proper story. Keep it up, looking forward to more in the future.
Amazing storytelling! I had no idea empires could repopulate desolate galaxies. I may have to reboot my old game and try to do the same thing. I remember I stuck all the different species on a ringworld and made it like a zoo
The storytelling is really top tier man , I bet doing a run like this takes more than a few hours but if you have other vids of this quality im definetly sticking around
This is really good. This so well done but often on TH-cam shorter videos get more views. To make the most of how good this is, you could keep the original and add the words Full Video to it and also add two more videos. Keep the name the same for both but add Part 1-3 to the first re-added and add part 4&5 to the second (include epilogue). You hate to split it up because it really flows well altogether but if you also keep the full original people can also choose to watch that one too. But I think you could get more exposure by splitting in 2. More people may check it out then and want to watch the second one too because it is really good!
Bro i remember one of my early games when i first met them, their entrypoint was next to my home system and they spewed out fleets up to 40 million fleet power over a few months, my fleets were utterly crushed and i watch the galaxy die in a very similar way only you couldn't hide back then... 😢
THAT WAS GOLD,I AM RUSSIAN AND THIS TAKE MY HEART! Im play for Inperial of mankind and take defend VS ALL GALAXY EMPIRE and Role Play little same thing, take safe pleasure and reanimate galaxy, but only for humanity! THAT WAS A REALY BIG JOB MAN,IM SO GLAD TO LIVE,TO SEE THIS! Im subscribe and like you!If you can,do something like this, and i wath full like this video! Im just repeat IM SO THANK YOU TOO SEE THIS VIDEO WITH ABSOLUTE SINEMA IDEA! THAT WAS GOLD STELLARIS VIDEO!
I just found your video randomly on the recommend feed,That was a very awesome story I really enjoyed it. I found it a little funny, I always have the idea of using some isolated pocket of space to hide a part of my empire just in case. Is this really only possible with astral planes or mods (if so what do you use?)? I know i always thought of the L-cluster as that but seeing this video, I see that as a pointless venture considering you cant close or re-open the gates.
There are definitely Mods that will allow you to close off certain pockets of space however only astral planes lets you close portals in the vanilla game. Cool fact however you can also close L gates With them so if you get a lucky L gate spawn with inhabitable planets it would be even better than the chosen star system! However you can only do one portal at a time :( Anyways thanks so much for watching :)
@@MJWITHER really anything with "event" in it. They're all so good. More events mod, expanded events, dynamic political events, extra events, endless frontier
Holy crap man I remember watching your warship craft content ages ago. Pretty cool that you have shifted to stellaris. Also brilliant, video, very cool narrative. Maybe you could do a gigastructural engineering video soon :D
Woah you have been around my channel for a long time!! and yeah I think I might try getting into mods maybe in the new year since there won’t be any dlc for a while
Better than any f-ing movie of recent years. Do you have a long form version of this? Have you ever thought about enhancing this story with maybe some ai generated videos?
And this is how Fallen Empires were made.
Gonna be honest wasn't paying attention thought it was a big youtuber I didn't know then I seen the amount of views and such and was quite surprised by how good the video is and how little views it has
Came here from the TH-cam shorts. Gonna enjoy this one think ^__^
Same TH-cam shorts so far the video is fire as fuck
Honestly youtubers with around 10-50k seem to have content I more enjoy as I've grown up, it just has more passion

You became a fallen empire!

I plan to keep making more although it might take a little bit
You are a masterful story teller. Keep going man.
Thank you

You can write a whole novel based on this run
Would love to see more runs like this one.
Research thr forerunner ecumene and their reseeding of the galaxy you will see the similarities
Stellaris can for real be a great creative writing exercise.
This sent me back to look up The Falcon Banner from Darker Projects
The single best Stellaris video I saw in my life
That origin story had me thinking "and written on the sphere was a word older than the kiths themselves: Hiigara. Home."
man, this video needs way more views. the quality is good and the work put into it is amazing.
Glad you enjoyed it!

Came to this video after watching one of your semi-recent shorts. Absolutely incredible story telling! I really enjoyed this video!
Unfortunate that we have no more stealth power would be nice to have some science ship roaming around with max cloak just watching the galaxy grow.
Very impressed you stuck it through till the end and even made a video and story with it. I could never but i certainly do appreciate such videos
Amazing video man. The storytelling is gripping. It feels like a movie!
Thankyou I put a lot of work into it :)
That yt short definitely hocked me. I love lore
The best video of Stellaris I ever seen.
This is probably the greatest Stellaris story telling that I came across on TH-cam. It's really felt like it came from the novel.

I got hooked by the shorts, your storylines are pretty good
You are a fantastic storyteller. I don't play Stellaris, but I was hooked the whole time.

How.... my gane slows to a crawl after 150 years. What size galaxy is this?
Great video! I'm trying to understand if this 15:52 is cheating or not? I'm looking for a solution that can prevent Paradox cheat.
Was that technically may come now, a fallen Empire? But not Pauline.
