GLORIOUS, Phil, absolutely GLORIOUS!!! Yes indeed we all go through some shit in life but out on the trails, just nature in all it's glory and the physical challenge and absolute joy of having legs that work and carry us to such places ... it's not only an escape, it really helps put everything back into perspective!!

Looks like your selfie stick is more of a selfie twig now mate 😅 Those views and the lovely weather you had were just perfect. Cool to see you getting on a bit of the Pennine Way. I'm definitely going to explore some of it before too long.

A selfie twig!!! 🤣 an apt description!! I was always intimated about the Pennines but now I’ve had a little taste I’m eager to return that’s for sure. How’s it all going with you?

@@trailrunningphil All good here thanks mate. Going away with the family for a week... to somewhere flat! 😁 Going to be in Lincolnshire tomorrow, so I'll see what it's like with no hills lol.

Wonderful stuff Phil. I can see why this could be your best ever trail run. The solitude and the views make you realise your place in the world. Pity about the tech problems but they didn't detract from the video. I always carry a cheap "burner phone" alongside my iphone, just in case. Look forward to part four.

Burner phone 😂! Jokes aside I realise this is really important, especially when I was out in that landscape. I loved day four so much. I was in my complete element all day. 😊 thanks for taking a look and day five was quite special too!!

Absolutely stunning stuff Phil! The selfie stick issues did make me chuckle. #youtuberissues glad you got to get on the Pennine way for a bit. Very cool. Great running bud! 👏😎🤘

Cheers Ben!! The more times I watch the footage, the more I'm realising the shorter selfie stick may actually be better anyways as you can see me talking instead of the wide shot! I'm considering getting a different camera but we shall see! Thanks for watching my man. Its an incredible place to run. I thoroughly recommend it up there 👌

I am so glad you were enjoying yourself, Phil. You can feel your genuine joy through the screen. What a way to do it! Multi-day running holiday with the pleasure of spending time with your wife before and after the run. Perfect! I didn't realise the Spine race was on at that time. By the way your broken selfie stick is superb compared to mine. Your GoPro must zoom the image out of your face so it doesn't look close like with my phone. And your stick is still looking invisible. I still didn't work it out how it does it. Probably even better with a shorter selfie stick. I keep breaking my microphones and selfie sticks all the time.

Yeah I was really in my element Olga! :). The camera i use is the Insta 360 One x2. Its a 360 camera that has two lenses. The two lenses combine to make one image and they fold OVER the selfie stick in the video editing software so the selfie stick disappears! Since I have been editing the footage, i notice that the shorter stick is better for talking to the camera anyways as you can see my face better and its not too far away. Thank you so much for watching and your positive comments. I really appreciate it x
