Thank you Deb. Although I've sewn many hems in the round on knits I have a difficult time pulling the thread to the back even after referring to my manual. This was a great reminder of the correct way to do this. There were also many tips I will use on my next hem.

Love all this information! One question, please. I am altering a pair of knit pants for my mom. I took off the overlocked elastic because the pants were about 4” too big in the waist. I overlocked the elastic onto the pants like you showed in one of your videos. I thought I would cover lock the elastic back down on the pants instead of sewing or zigzagging it as you suggested. Is that a good option option? Thank you!
