The Daido Moriyama camera that made him known to the rest of the world not that he was unknown before it. He used many kinds of cameras but the GR film camera that shows him shooting street on you tube is this one.
It must be tough for Japanese people trying to make their way down the street through the throngs of street photographers :)

Great video Alex! My first 2 years of shooting street was with a Ricoh GR1v and to be honest, the quality of the 28mm Zeiss lens makes it difficult to tell it's a point and shoot.
Ah, the 4 modes of street photography: P for Professional, M for Master, S for Snap shooter, A for Amateur. jk, bokeh is cool too. 😂
Love the film GR btw. It would be cool to see another collab with Sam, with you guys shooting film and digital GRs. Maybe Ricoh would sponsor to get it on their channel. I would buy that photo book. 🙏

My travel film p&s is a ricoh gr10 with a similar issue with the display. It sucks but it gets the job done. It'll be hard to let go of this one. Love the vibe of the photos. At first I thought it was 400D film

Would recommend trying the little brother to the gr1, the r1/r1s. Great little 30mm 3.5 and a little more compact body. No pro-controls but that means if the screen stops working it’s still fully usable.
I usually watch photography videos on Saturday mornings, but turns out I haven't had a fully free one in a while, so binging this series this morning. Anyway, just wanted to say, the shot at 5:50 is maybe my favourite photo of yours that your ever taken. That is incredible. It just has something that really appeals to me.
