So glad this album is more experimental than mainstream summer hit. And that’s why there’s so much mix feeling about it. A lot of people wanted a “mainstream” album like astroworld
i feel this same way. i think the music is incredibly unique and special, and true music, not just rap music. but the rap weirdos wanted a full album of goosebumps, butterfly effect and sicko mode. they can't sit and enjoy music that isn't or doesn't sound like rap and it's so fucking weird
I think this is Travis Scotts best work to date tbh.

@@christopherdelgado1891fr bro i can’t get over this album it’s so good. i’m getting so pissed at everyone saying this album was a blatant copy of yeezus when HE LITERALLY INSPIRED AND PRODUCED THE ALBUM WITH KANYE 💀 so of course the album is gonna sound like yeezus. even so, this album is so fucking good and i believe this album will be one of my favorites later down the road as the album that allowed travis to show the whole fucking world he can actually rap. because before this people really would just say his production is better than his raps. but damn this album proves he can do his own shit.

This is Travis’ Yeezus but Travis was partially responsible for Yeezus sounding the way it did in the first place. This album was him going back to his roots, it sounds like Owl Pharaoh and Days Before Rodeo but modernized and futuristic. Its also got lots of DNA from the original 2020 version of Donda. Overall a great listening experience
Plebs think it is Yeezus, it's closer to Donda. Yeezus didn't have any slow and atmospheric tracks, both covers are drenched in black.

15:33 PREACH Meami. Travis has become so big now that he can finally release music that isn’t too accessible like the last 3 albums have been. He can experiment and go back his grass roots without taking too much of a hit.
Honestly i disagree with that point Rodeo had some very expérimental sounds, birds sounded like a more accessible offer and i guess given it’s success Travis decided to leverage on this formula and polish it with Astroworld which partly explains why the Numbers were so high. Astroworld was like a Drake album, music that could speak to everybody (but good music don’t misunderstand me)

But “Utopia” sounds like he travis copying old travis badly and the lyrics are not deep enough and instrumentals not meticulous and anazing sounding its not up to travis standards imo it sound like nothing special and im just so disappointed in travis. I dont mind some of the songs and its cool and different i guess but its like a money grab mainstream cheeseball type shit bro its not what i had in mind for utopia. When I listened to this album from front to back, I knew it was gonna make people have mix feelings about it and also knew it was gonna have likes and dislikes from people. I’m one of the ones that actually like this album. Ig the people who dislike this album we’re expecting a astroworld 2.0 project. But I know at some point it’ll grow on them. This is pretty common nowadays when an artist drops a project with a different sound.
I like this album a ton. We need to start experimenting with this genre. The main stream rap is so stale these days.. Thank you Travis for this fire!
