I'm like 90% sure that the reason for the AI use is that because of his new grills, studio recordings just don't sound good. When you lose your teeth and have huge permanent chunks of metals in your mouth you won't sound the same, he got a mild lisp now as well that a studio mic would definitely pick up. So I reckon he's either using reference tracks from others, or himself, and running them through an AI filter to sound like he did pre-grills.

First issue is when comparing the pure vocals you have to consider that the cash cow vocals were stripped with AI so there might be artifacting that wasn’t in the original. Even when comparing them with the beats you also have to consider how good the AI is generally cause ppl have been fooled with Ye-I by “leakers” plenty of times so it’s very possible that you were able to use the AI really well and even if Ye actually recorded the verse you wouldn’t be able to tell. I wish there was a way to remove the AI effect with a program, but afaik with how these vocal AI work it’d be impossible unless the program stored some secret metadata in the file.
Are these consumptions coming from people who know about de-esser, de-sound and advanced vocal techniques like recording in half speed for more clean transients and better rhythm? It’s probably not mixed for the platform as well.

Straight off google "Vocal seperators use machine learning algorithms that are trained to recognize the frequency material of specific sounds and isolate them automatically" That is drastically different than AI inference which mimics the timbre from a voice clip and changes the timbre of a different voice clip to match it. This is why AI vocals can sometimes sound off and why as of rn without a lot of hard work and proper mixing u can easily tell if something is AI or not.

My point is that when you have an imperfect sample taken from an imperfect stem splitter, any artifacts you find shouldn't be used as evidence of an AI voice changer when there is also the possibility that said artifact came from the stem splitter.
