I had no idea Primoz Roglic used to be a ski jumper. Why do commentators not mention this fact anymore? I think they should at least mention it every time he races, it is quite interesting I must say.

i wish it showed you their wattage, gears used, RPM, speed etc, I just wish we had more stats to look at and compare instead of just their time and place on the track

Cancellara rode out of his mind he went up that last ascent so fast and came down the descent like a dare devil. Although I have to say that about the last 20 riders or so had the best chance to win as the course mostly dried up by then.

definately not, the clueless idiot they have commentating thinks the French rider has a problem with his seat post and is trying to fix it on the fly. It's clearly his disc wheel rubbing, and you can hear it, and he is clearly slacking off and tightening up his rear brake to mitigate the problem on climbs and descents. Typical BBC with 'jobs for the boys' rather than folk who know what they are doing.

As i saw the whole video, it must have been one of the most difficult time trial ever: olympic distance and slippery ups and downs in tropic Brasil along the roads, unfortunately Ron Dennis had an unwanted bike change, But finally the swiss ruler won

You have to feel for the 4th and 5th place finishers. Losing an Olympic medal with the margins of 4 and 8 seconds in such a long race must be unimaginably disappointing.

34:25 as a bike enthusiast/rider. I believe he's in the wrong gear. The reason why is he can get further and faster in a harder cadence gear. Which will give him less rotation on the crank and harder on the legs, but better mileage. Then as he gets tired again kick into a lower gear.
Then again it depends on how far the hill is.
Still remember this strange wet time trial cycling road race...

My suggest; he just did not had a TT bike and had to use his normal road bike. He started for Namibia, may be their association was not very well equipped.

THe lowest forearm and hand position in a TT ever seen -- Cancellara. Nobody has studied how he won this olympic gold, in terms of aerodynamics.
