It is absolutely baffling to me that the worlds best riders with the worlds best equipment have so many mechanical issues. Chains coming off, friggin aero bar breaking. Like what? How, those aero bars are probably worth thousands and made out of carbon fiber yet they just break while riding?

It´s the best option to use a motor on a TT race, on normal road races the acceleration is sometimes to obvious and suspicious in comparison to the effort and speed of other riders.
