Watching this gives me chills...I had to start all over again 11 years ago... going from independent to dependent back to independent was such a rollercoaster of emotions but to finally resettle into my own home was exhilarating...You already know you did good...God bless and Enjoy!!!
I suggest hanging a rack on the wall in your kitchen to hang up oven mitts or pans. Also, you should look for a cutting board to cover your sink for extra room on the counter. I did that when I had no counter space in my first apartment.

There's nothing that compares to being in your own space. Just the peace you get from locking your door behind you and relaxing. You are so right about mental signaling. It felt amazing unpacking all those boxes after i moved.
I am glad to see you here. I remember when my marriage ended and with my baby son moving into an apartment back in my hometown, NYC. As I looked out the window, the word "REFUGE" came to my mind. I had been through so much mental anguish prior, that refuge is what I needed. I pray that this place becomes your refuge and strength. God bless you and HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY.

Thank you for my flowers. I bought a little succulent as the first thing I placed in my home even before the air mattress and boxes. I intend for this space to be full of so much life and beauty. Thank you so very much.

I love your energy! The best feeling in the world is to be able to take care of yourself! I use to live in an apartment with poor lighting too...it can make depression set easily...blessings in your new place...small spaces are the best!
Watching this video made me tear up as I am a single mom of 2 who just moved from a 1 bedroom to a 2 bedroom. That feeling of being in your new space is so amazing. I asked the Universe for this manifestation for a while now and it finally appeared. You are strong and it was so humbling to see you blow up your air mattress. I am sleeping on my couch currently but will be sharing a room with my 6 year old daughter in a couple of weeks when my mattress arrives. Long story short, it felt good seeing you move and unboxing because your happiness came straight through the camera. Get yourself a salt lamp to really positively charge your space! Light and love :)

Hi Stacey, I really admire how you are sticking to your part-time job while building your company. I hit a pretty deep rock bottom and am re-building my life, too. I work about 34 hours a week while building my company as well! One of the things that sustains me is therapy. It is how I breathe through my transitions, and believe in myself. It is expensive for me though -- I make around what you do and therapy is $75.00 an hour, which I break into four , half hour session a month. How do you do it, financially?

Okay so I don’t usually watch your types of videos but I stumbled across you while looking for grocery videos and I love you!!! It’s so refreshing seeing how positive you are even tho your doing this all on your own. Like I never thought it was possible to be absolutely independent but your living proof it is. Congrats. I hope your new home brings you happiness. !!! Also, please do more cooking videos. Up until your video a few weeks ago I didn’t even think you needed to wash veggies because I didn’t think about it. Congrats on the move! Cutting boards which fit over the sink help maximise cooking/prep space so much.
Thanks for sharing, love those windows in the new place! My husband and I live in a small apartment with limited counter space in the kitchen. I found an extra long cutting board that fits perfectly over the sink and has really freed up more space for prepping and cooking, hope that helps and have a great week!

Congratulation on the new place. I certainly know the value of a well lit happy home. I have lived in the same light breezy apartment over 20 years and the light is AMAZING. Every time I open the door when I come home, I hear angels sing. May I suggest you try to keep clutter and giant furniture to a minimum. People tend to think every crevice and corner ahould be filled with stuff. Open space is so soothing and comforting and lends itself to clear thinking, working out at home, meditating, etc.!

Oh man this is raw and awesome. I love the point you made about doing it better the second time around. Its nothing like allowing God to order your steps and showing you how to move on , gain independence, set boundaries in order to heal and Totally depend on Him. It is exhausting to move, but like you, I like to unpack at once, so it feels like home. I guess you have to get a big cutting board to have on top of your stove or sink. Or, maybe you have room for one of those folding tables, wallmounted? Well done. Happy Mothers Day.

I was thinking maybe you can grow your own tomatoes or rocket or something now you have more light! :D. They are both really easy to grow and the seeds aren’t expensive :). Especially microgreens grow super fast!

Stacey when you get settled, put a long shelf underneath the cupboards in the kitchen, that will give you more space..
Donna Galvan i have found shelves for over the back of sink and used several to add under upper cupboard on counter space..i believe family dollar.
