Even so, he should have some sort of expiration date even if he gets propper mechanical care because of how corrosive and caustic zaunite technology is, with the only exeption to this rule being Viktor's tech.
I think they drew that out from a style known as ''Pastel Goth'', which is supposedly defined as ''a representation of a sense of dualism expressed through clothing, and sometimes hair'' which is represented through the use of both black and pastel colors at the same time with the intent of contrasting them, accompanied with eccentric accessories (Such as a ridiculous steel or brass chain on one of the sides of the skirt, altern thigh high socks, like one of black and pastel green lines and one of net, and shirts or blouses with things written in Japanese, etc.), and is basically a symbol of being an extremely edgy teen screaming for attention. An example of the most simple and less visually offending outfit fitting in this category is the one of cover art of a song called ''Shaii'', composed by Geoxor, out of which I have seen a few times in real life. Noo not quite. It's an observation on courage more than anything. How doesn't equate with That as in 'That they lived'. Losing a measurement that one Can get of a person's love for life while observing their death/removing death doesn't mean they don't have their own How or enjoyment in life. I.e. just cus you don't get to see how they die doesn't mean they aren't living. You don't need impending death to find purpose and happiness in living, though the challenge or 'limited time offer' of life for others can spice things up.
I think Yordles are ageless, Kled looks like someone that had some close encounters. So cheer up Smallfry, a Full sttack Ultimate of a Full AD Darius will end your misery.

I thought yorldes in general can't die. They live for thousands of years and fought immense challenges yet they didn't die because their magic or something. Kled and Veigar had been beaten up for their whole lives but they still live. Idk.
Let's be real, Vex and Veigar team up story just writes itself. Outside of their motif and colours, Vex idea of immortality being bane for yordles is perfectly shown in the history of Veigar (Also probably Kled).
its interesting that Vex is kinda like a Karthus but sees more the beauty in being ephemeral rather than just be obsessed with it. Still she seems more to believe death is the point and not that death is the closing act to give actions and etc more meaning or perhaps its more a doctor manhattan case without the not feeling human anymore and mostly just the boredom
Vex spreading misery is a result of balance, all that happiness that the yordles exude, make vex the balancing darkness. As result she is also very good at "pushing people's button"

I do really like Vex’s design, and her association with Viego was interesting, however short it was. But I just don’t personally jive with the whole emo archetype, and hers seems to be that turnt up to 11. I’m sure other people love it, it’s just not my jam. Personally? I love me some wholesome types, like Malphite’s in LoR :)
This. I don't like Vex either, I mean her voicelines are fine, funny and relatable sometimes. But her whole "being emo bc i want to, and I hate happiness as a whole" Is just...so dumb. Like i can understand if her backstory was more...tragic? I think they should have made Vex a regular Yordle who got fascinated by Shadow Isle then started making stories about herself being so edgy and all. At least it would make more senss imo rather than make herself born miserable or some explained things like that.
I understand the dilemma that immortality might bring, but the meaning of life being death is too simple. The meaning of Birth is to Die, as both things cancel each others. The primal meaning of life is to cling into it, survival instincts for most part of non sapient beings. Yordles might be eternal beings... but can they die from injuries or starvation? If so, they have to precure sustenance, that's a purpose, survive and maybe continue a chain by birthing new yordles. Now... when we take into consideration sapience, then that survival instict gets complicated, as we know we might die, we want to feel that time was worth by leaving a legacy so we get remembered. That's why we create art or put or names into discoveries, so people who never met us would see it and think about us, we fear being forgotten and that fight against oblivion is what make us do things most of the time. Yordles are inmortal but, did they remember everything they have done? they may forget what did they eat a thousand years ago... If so, they must have the same need to be remembered, to do something worthy of their eternal time. That's why yordles love to see humans, because they inspire them to leave a mark. Poppy to find the Hero, Tristana to be a leader, Lulu to bring happiness to others, Veigar to become the most EVIL and Tallest , Heimerdinger to create, Rumble to gain respect... And the list goes on. Life is a Journey, maybe an eternal one for the yordles, but the importance of a journey is the things you do along the way. Bring happiness, bring gloom, create a mechadyno... Leave an everlasting mark in this world.

Of course in less literal way his philosophy was that life had no point but unlike Nihilist who are just waiting for death as there is no other point, Absurd just go with life till they die, there is no point waiting for death either, it will come when it comes. Her short story is me and parents tbh when they asked me why I was more closed to my cousin's and family I said I just don't like public anymore and they were like I know you have been locking yourself up with your phone and they took my phone and forced me to have fun with my cousins which I did not do
That Yordle fact made me thinking about posibility that magic in runeterra have different category and tier. Like the Elemental magic with Qiyana, or the True Ice, or Celestial Magic. Maybe the Yordles are the Pure Magic that shaped Runeterra. Idk, but if Riot really make that "Magic Update" (just like Demon and Vastaya) i think it'll be cool
It's pretty easily explained how Vex "spreads" the mist. Viego is the one who controls the mist and spreads it, but areas of Runeterra were able to fight back. When Vex joined up though, she sowed dispair among the regions of Runetera, which then weakened them to a point where the mist could be spread easier. The Ruination event just said "Vex spreads it" without explaining it as a symbiotic relationship with Viego to spread the mist.
We don't actually know if they can't die, and it makes ZERO SENSE that they can't, they wouldn't act with such care to stay alive in dangerous situations if they couldn't die. They have PHYSICAL bodies that interact with the world. Riot keeps doing wrong by Yordle lore and this is one of the dumbest things they have done, and futhermore no character should be bound by a destiny that they can't control. Otherwise every single Yordle might as well be an NPC.
That's ..... kind of the other point, because the whole fatalism exists as idea of already made fate, but Vex puts up front that if they're mirror of cultures and manifestation of magic, what makes it their life worth something? Vex is still "I'm 14 and that's deep" emo kid mind, but that's an actual existential question, because if Bundle city is their save haven where they can live with no issue, than what makes it wort it?
I dont know why People keep take this lore seriusly. Riot always change and mix every facts from the game that you dont really know now did demacia is noxus or noxus IS demacia. I feel bad for her uncle. I can understand wanting to be alone and depressed, but I would never want to make someone cry to get my point across. Being frustrated towards someone for being too persistent can easily turn your sadness into anger and then into spite. People like her uncle mean well enough, but need to realize when to stop. This goes especially for people who are fragile and cling to every ounce of happiness they can find. Sounds to me like her uncle was in denial about things. Denial can be a dark place. You always walk on the edge of that deep, dark abyss. Happiness is your thin wooden railing. If you get knocked off balance, you better be able to right yourself or else you fall in. Sometimes there's no way out. Sometimes it takes another person to help get you out. However, once you fall in, that experience will haunt you forever. It will never leave you. It will always be there, in the shadows, around the corner, in your dreams and in your favorite things. You will never feel satisfying experiences ever again without that constant threat looming over and lurking close. Anyway, I hope her uncle is doing ok. It's kind of implied he gets lost in the shadow isles. I hope he made it out or will make it out.

The fact, that Riot created first a barber character, then a depressed character tells us a lot about the state of the champion design team during the pandemic... first, they just needed a haircut during the first lockdown... then they really needed help...
Honestly this short story still feels dumb. Its basically a yordle being put into an existential sadness because some other yordle said something pseudo-deep and edgy about death being good.
It's fitting for the character, and it has some truth about Yordles, they can't die, so they are doomed to forever walk doing the same things over and over again, it's like how in TLOR the mortality of humans is thier greatest gift

Well Kled murders people on a regular, Teemo is a drug dealer, poppy travels the globe and Veigar was rolling with Mordekaiser. Yordles have dealt with the idea of death for eons and it doesn't break them. A good example would be say if some random teen walks up to you and said "We're all gonna die anyways and nothing is worth it" and you immediately broke down and completely went back on everything you've believed for decades. It makes nosense.
@Rasmus Malmberg Tbf she didn't think it was deep. If she did, she'd be worse. Its just written that way. And the fact that it has this kind of impact on her uncle is what makes it come off as trying really hard to be deep (which is ironic as fuck for Vex). He never challenges her ideas, he never doubts and bring his own ideas before learning from her's. He literally breaks down despite being so much older. Its got the same energy as someone writing a creepypasta of a teenager that went insane and having a psychologist in the story fear them instantly over some monologue the teenager had of "death being inevitable". Its cheesy as hell in a weirdly pretentious way with how much the writing tries to emphasize its effects on her uncle despite them merely being words from some younger yordle. I did not expect her to be deep either btw. If anything, its best if she wasn't. This pseudo-deep talk and writing just has the worst of both worlds. You can relax with excusing her story just because I didn't like it.

As far as why I know this shit, it's because 1.- society groups all of us in the same category due to the similar styles and tastes in terms of clothing, 2.- I'm developing some characters with ages around 16-20 that are this edgy (Mainly to mock the edgyness of some of my friends), and 3.- The majority of my friends are in either one of the three previous points in terms of tastes. (They are mostly either PC gamers or weebs though)

Noo not quite. It's an observation on courage more than anything. How doesn't equate with That as in 'That they lived'. Losing a measurement that one Can get of a person's love for life while observing their death/removing death doesn't mean they don't have their own How or enjoyment in life. I.e. just cus you don't get to see how they die doesn't mean they aren't living. You don't need impending death to find purpose and happiness in living, though the challenge or 'limited time offer' of life for others can spice things up.
I think Yordles are ageless, Kled looks like someone that had some close encounters. So cheer up Smallfry, a Full sttack Ultimate of a Full AD Darius will end your misery.

I do really like Vex’s design, and her association with Viego was interesting, however short it was. But I just don’t personally jive with the whole emo archetype, and hers seems to be that turnt up to 11. I’m sure other people love it, it’s just not my jam.

I understand the dilemma that immortality might bring, but the meaning of life being death is too simple.
The meaning of Birth is to Die, as both things cancel each others. The primal meaning of life is to cling into it, survival instincts for most part of non sapient beings. Yordles might be eternal beings... but can they die from injuries or starvation? If so, they have to precure sustenance, that's a purpose, survive and maybe continue a chain by birthing new yordles.
Now... when we take into consideration sapience, then that survival instict gets complicated, as we know we might die, we want to feel that time was worth by leaving a legacy so we get remembered. That's why we create art or put or names into discoveries, so people who never met us would see it and think about us, we fear being forgotten and that fight against oblivion is what make us do things most of the time.
Yordles are inmortal but, did they remember everything they have done? they may forget what did they eat a thousand years ago... If so, they must have the same need to be remembered, to do something worthy of their eternal time. That's why yordles love to see humans, because they inspire them to leave a mark. Poppy to find the Hero, Tristana to be a leader, Lulu to bring happiness to others, Veigar to become the most EVIL and Tallest , Heimerdinger to create, Rumble to gain respect... And the list goes on.
Life is a Journey, maybe an eternal one for the yordles, but the importance of a journey is the things you do along the way. Bring happiness, bring gloom, create a mechadyno... Leave an everlasting mark in this world.

Still quite interesting lad. "Stranger" is fairly well small written novel.

That Yordle fact made me thinking about posibility that magic in runeterra have different category and tier. Like the Elemental magic with Qiyana, or the True Ice, or Celestial Magic. Maybe the Yordles are the Pure Magic that shaped Runeterra. Idk, but if Riot really make that "Magic Update" (just like Demon and Vastaya) i think it'll be cool
Vex's whole story is such a mood.
It's pretty easily explained how Vex "spreads" the mist. Viego is the one who controls the mist and spreads it, but areas of Runeterra were able to fight back. When Vex joined up though, she sowed dispair among the regions of Runetera, which then weakened them to a point where the mist could be spread easier. The Ruination event just said "Vex spreads it" without explaining it as a symbiotic relationship with Viego to spread the mist.

We don't actually know if they can't die, and it makes ZERO SENSE that they can't, they wouldn't act with such care to stay alive in dangerous situations if they couldn't die. They have PHYSICAL bodies that interact with the world. Riot keeps doing wrong by Yordle lore and this is one of the dumbest things they have done, and futhermore no character should be bound by a destiny that they can't control. Otherwise every single Yordle might as well be an NPC.

I feel bad for her uncle. I can understand wanting to be alone and depressed, but I would never want to make someone cry to get my point across. Being frustrated towards someone for being too persistent can easily turn your sadness into anger and then into spite. People like her uncle mean well enough, but need to realize when to stop. This goes especially for people who are fragile and cling to every ounce of happiness they can find. Sounds to me like her uncle was in denial about things. Denial can be a dark place. You always walk on the edge of that deep, dark abyss. Happiness is your thin wooden railing. If you get knocked off balance, you better be able to right yourself or else you fall in. Sometimes there's no way out. Sometimes it takes another person to help get you out. However, once you fall in, that experience will haunt you forever. It will never leave you. It will always be there, in the shadows, around the corner, in your dreams and in your favorite things. You will never feel satisfying experiences ever again without that constant threat looming over and lurking close.
Anyway, I hope her uncle is doing ok. It's kind of implied he gets lost in the shadow isles. I hope he made it out or will make it out.

Honestly this short story still feels dumb. Its basically a yordle being put into an existential sadness because some other yordle said something pseudo-deep and edgy about death being good.
It's fitting for the character, and it has some truth about Yordles, they can't die, so they are doomed to forever walk doing the same things over and over again, it's like how in TLOR the mortality of humans is thier greatest gift

Well Kled murders people on a regular, Teemo is a drug dealer, poppy travels the globe and Veigar was rolling with Mordekaiser. Yordles have dealt with the idea of death for eons and it doesn't break them.
A good example would be say if some random teen walks up to you and said "We're all gonna die anyways and nothing is worth it" and you immediately broke down and completely went back on everything you've believed for decades. It makes nosense.

Its just written that way. And the fact that it has this kind of impact on her uncle is what makes it come off as trying really hard to be deep (which is ironic as fuck for Vex). He never challenges her ideas, he never doubts and bring his own ideas before learning from her's. He literally breaks down despite being so much older. Its got the same energy as someone writing a creepypasta of a teenager that went insane and having a psychologist in the story fear them instantly over some monologue the teenager had of "death being inevitable". Its cheesy as hell in a weirdly pretentious way with how much the writing tries to emphasize its effects on her uncle despite them merely being words from some younger yordle.
I did not expect her to be deep either btw. If anything, its best if she wasn't. This pseudo-deep talk and writing just has the worst of both worlds. You can relax with excusing her story just because I didn't like it.
