This brings back memories of picking potatoes for the neighbor when I was a kid, 10 cents a bushel! He had a potato digger just like this and an old Farmall A. We spent more time looking for Mickey Mouse potatoes than we did filling bushel baskets.
Boy, I haven't seen an old digger like that for a very long time. Maybe early 70's. I ran old Massy like that one in 1962. You brought back some old memories. Good memories.
My mother peels potatoes and prepares them for breakfast and or supper daily! They love their garden! The other great thing is the peelings get fed to the cows!🐮 Thanks for watching!
Nice tractor and digger. Sure would like to have one of those diggers. Great harvest too. Your mom sure knows how to dump the baskets into the bags. She done that before. Great video. Thanks a lot.
Thanks, you’re right Mom has been harvesting potatoes her whole life. She grew up on a large potato farm and still helps out every year. She rides the Harvester and sorts out rotten ones and rocks as they cross the chain. Hopefully this year I’ll get over to the big farm and capture what they do!
Looks like Grandma can work circles around those Boys. I'm in the process of buying my Grandfathers old picker from my cousin as her Father inherited the Farm when he passed at 90 in 1977. My Uncle was killed when the Farmall M flipped over backwards on him back in 1980 so my two cousins own the old farm now. The equipment barn is still full of his old machines and implements..
Grand-mom, Grand-pop and Grandson out there working on those potatoes. Son is just standing around taking pictures. Kidding aside, I liked the video. Good job!
I really like your videos 👍🏻 they are always very relaxing to watch. Looking forward to your pumpkin harvest. Btw how does the patch look? Greets from Germany.
My ex finances grandfather had one of these diggers but his still had those shaker fingers in the back you have the crankshaft but missing the finger part.
I’ve seen other videos of these diggers with parts that I’ve never seen on this one. Someone must have thought along the way that we could do without them. Still works great.👍
Don't know why but I'm getting addicted to watching these old diggers neat to watch them operate

That lady picking potatoes really knows what she is doing. This is an excellent potato digger. I miss my Massey Harris 30.
very cool to watch the old equipment!
Great video. Great family man, you are very lucky. Nice to see the generations working together.
Dad has the digger well shined up, great harvest and some nice soil to grow in!
Nice video. That's alot of spuds. Lol. Nice to see your parents able to do the big garden. Thanks for sharing. ☺️

That video is so overdue, I apologize for my laziness! Looking good and selling like hot cakes!

Is that a McCormick Deering No. 10?
Seems like you are going a little faster than is ideal. These were designed for horse speed I think.
That was really awesome to watch! Your mom did good! Do you all save the potatoes for you all or do you sell some too?
No sales, that’s just for the cellar! If we all cannot eat them before spring, the cows will eat them!
