Knocked it out of the park - what an incredible build and a terrific choice of a donor car. All your talents went to good use on this baby. Wow 👍👍,

It's not a coupe. It's a Chevy II 2-door sedan. There were no Chevy II 100 series 2-door coupes in 1963.

You are correct! That's a crappy old post car.

you upgraded the original rims from the original 4 lug to the 5 and in 63 all you could get was a inline 6 cylinder, the car looks good but the "restoration".....you built a hot rod. looks good though.

In '62/'63 you could order a heavy duty suspension package, that upgraded the four lug ,13 inch wheels to five lug , 14 inch wheels and tires . Also there were two engine choices, a 153 inch four cylinder , or the 194 inch six cylinder . There used to be a guy in town that had a four banger Chevy II , with a three speed and overdrive trans , it got 28-30 mpg . See , 60 years ago they knew how to build a good looking , fuel efficient car , why they can't do so now is beyond comprehension .
