We did the marinating meat method when preparing for our twins! We got so tired of eating freezer meals with our first. We kept a master list and prepped frozen veggies, cooked sides (like mac & cheese or rice) and bags and bags of marinated meat! It was a game changer! Just had to throw the meat in the oven (or BBQ) and warm up the sides. Fresh meals can't be beat!! Ps. I've loved watching all of these videos while on maternity leave!
I'm a new subscriber. I've seen several of your videos, and I think you are fantastic with so much energy and skill. Your Chunky baby and daughter are beautiful. May the Lord continue blessing you all.
I just found your channel! I’m so glad I did. I’m going to be trying your recipes. I’m 74 and cook just for me except on weekends. I will break these meals up and they will be so handy. Your little guy is precious. Have a blessed day.
I love how "real" you are in your videos. It always makes me smile when I see you do the home cook measuring because that what I do. I only use my measuring spoons for baking😅. My son's always ask me how much and I just say "eye ball it." It's always fun hearing your kids in the background, because that's real life!!!😊 Thank you for being you and may you and your family be blessed always🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
"My goals are bigger than my ability to get it done".....oh my, AM I THERE all the time😂 Great job prepping ahead for the busy days! I try to do the same. If meat is prepped, dinner goes so much faster.
My family can be a little picky (kids and hubs) so I was so happy to see the list you had- I think they would eat all but one of these! Maybe I should just try them all and see if they like the one I suspect they may not
I don’t know how I’d get everything done some days without ready made meals 😬 it really is a lifesaver for me 😁 Thank you for watching, have a lovely weekend ❤️
Amen. Thanks for taking the time to film this for everyone Kelsey, really appreciate it. I'm going to get my thinking cap on and come up with some ideas for my family here in the UK. God bless x
Brilliant idea for planning ahead for the busy gardening season! Thank you for sharing the written recipe ingredients, and for showing how you use some of your previously made products. I so enjoy watching your videos.
Enjoyed the recipes, can't wait to try them! But... my favorite part was your little one. We have 4 (ages 14-22) so it's been a minute since I've scooped up a little noise maker after a nap. It brought back some sweet snuggle memories.
Thank you, glad you enjoyed ☺️ I’m partial to the little one too ❤️ my babies are my favorite part of everything. Thank you for watching and these kind words. Blessings on you and yours!
I love makeing homemeade chicken taquitos for the dreezer and waffles for the freezer homemade cookies for the freeezer make ahead shredded taco chicken meat thank you for reminding me about chili topped baked pitatos I also like to top baked potatoes with sloppy joes insed of placing it on a bun all the time
Helpful tip because I don’t have one of those bag holders either….put your bag inside a large mouth quart mason jar, fold down the top of the bag some, add all ingredients that are small enough, take the bag out of jar and add meat. It works great! Thanks for your videos I enjoy so much!
Omg he is so adorable!!! Great job mama!!! ❤thank you so much for everything you do and these made ahead meals are so inspiring as well!!! You are so loved and appreciated!! ❤🙏 God bless you and yours!!! ❤
Thumbs up. Oh how I wish I could do this but my family wouldn't eat it 🙁 my husband is a spuds, meat and 3 veg man (Irish) I do an odd stir fry or some pasta. In saying that I might just try 1 or 2 and I'll eat it 😊 I end up cooking the same things all the time!! My eldest daughter and I say would eat Thai red curry but not the other 3! Same I'd eat chicken satay but no one else would. I've often made 2 or 3 different dishes for tea!
Oh having picky eaters is tough, I've been there, but thankfully they have become a bit more adventurous with food! If you'd enjoy some different recipes don't deprive yourself! Sometimes if I have the time available I'll make myself a different dish along with what I made everyone else to treat myself :) Thanks for watching!
LOVE these as I, too, prepare for busy outside gardening and yard work season!! Thank you for the recipes and ideas on how you will use them!! TRULY APPRECIATE ALL YOU DO!!!
I started mixing my peanut butter in my single serve ninja. I do one jar at a time but I do two jars and it stays well mixed for about 6 weeks! No more messes and spilling of the peanut oil! Your little boy is so adorable! Blessings!
Thank you for the inspiration, I just froze a few of the crockpot meals and a few marinated meals. Busy days of summer are coming! So ready and excited!
Thank you so much! Pork belly always turns into bacon here! If you’ve never salt cured your own I think @theelliothomestead has a great video on how to do it.
I enjoyed watching your video as I was prepping for dinner! Good timing! So many wonderful ideas. I will be making the taco soup next week. Hubby was listening and asked if we could add it to the dinner menu. Thank you again! Have a nice weekend 😊
Good morning. I love your relaxed way of cooking. I cook the same way. Your freezer meals look awesome. I just finished doing a bunch a week or so ago. Have a great day. 🇨🇦🌷
@@seedandsparrowhomestead I always enjoyed nap time too! 😉 Our son was also the youngest, full of spunk and ALWAYS in motion…quite the opposite of his older sister. Your beautiful boy reminds me of my son at that age. Treasure the time sweet friend, it will pass all to quickly and before you know it you’ll be gardening with his daughter. 🤗
Your son is adorable and I appreciate the time you took to add the recipes to the description. I will argue one point with you though... Sure, you *assembled* the meals in 1 hour, but add in the time it took to pick the recipes, shop for or gather from the pantry, write out the bags (making notes for what needs to be added day of cooking), prep the ground meat and potatoes, and then organizing it so you can assemble each quickly... then have to clean up the trash, put away the spices and sauce ingredients, wash the measuring tools or any pots/strainers/pans used... Phew! See, just thinking of all that creates a friction point that makes this whole process seem not attainable. I wish you would tell how long that entire process was! And to me, I'd much rather account for making multiples when I make a loose dinner plan for the week. That way if I have all the ingredients out anyway, I can whip up one meal for that night and 3 more to go in the freezer for later. That seems more doable to me somehow.
Hi Karen! Hey, I get it! I aim to be transparent about everything. Everything was included in that hour except, gathering ingredients, which I’ve got my pantry and freezers organized and boxes ready to go to grab things and transport and then cleanup, which was minimal and involved rinsing measuring cups and spoons and putting ingredients away, which maybe took another 20 minutes combined I think ? I will say I don’t really ever include time to pick out recipes, that I do as I find free time here and there. Everything was cooked, labeled, organized and assembled in that hour. Plus, I filmed a whole video and spoke and instructed in that hour. I don’t always show the little details like labeling and cleanup etc because I figure that’s boring to you ☺️ If I could have done the process without documentation it would have been done in much less time. I know not everything I do will be ideal for each person watching. I just aim to inspire so people can can take the ideas and recipes and customize them to what would work for them! I also will make multiples when I make meals on their own, one to eat and then some to freeze, but that’s not what this video was focusing on. This is something I like to do every now and then to give some variety in the freezer! Anyways, I hope that explains it better and I wish you a blessed week ☺️❤️
You are me oh I forgot the paprika, oh well just eyeball the dijon etc 🤣. This is why I’m not a baker, far too precise for me. Have to say any time I’ve put raw onion in the crockpot it has never cooked so I cook them prior. I grew up on my uncle’s farm and it was always exciting when the pigs (or cows) came from the abbatoir, we were always oh look it’s Daisy’s tail yum! Always taught my son where the food comes from
Love this! I really only measure precisely when baking, can’t get too lazy with that LOL. That’s wonderful, If you ask my kids where our food comes from they will probably say our backyard 😂 Have a blessed week ❤️
Hahaha! I had quite a few in England say they are Surprised I pronounce it properly! I’m not sure where I got the pronunciation but I’m glad it’s right 😂

Woohoo! It feels good doesn’t it?! ❤️
To make freezer mealmprep a little easier, I would suggest buying ziplock bag holder stands. I bought mine from Amazon (four for 10 dollars).
