It shows that a woman’s work, even behind the scenes, is just as important as a man’s and should always be appreciated. Best of all, it doesn’t come off as preachy with those issues. It all seems natural. And the songs? Oh, so charming with Angela Lansbury at the helm. She was perfect for this role.

I definitely regret not watching this one sooner. This was such a delightfully sweet and surprisingly progressive movie. Dame Angela Lansbury can really do no wrong as the mother of Christmas herself. And what better side-kick than the born leader and champion of the overlooked, Soapbox Sadie! It can feel a bit over-saccharin, but I really enjoyed it. Looking forward to watching it for years to come!
