I'm from Argentina. After a hard time in hospital i started watching the series at home and helps me a lot in my recovery. Emotionally, it gives me peace. Now i discovered the movies.
So, events in the movie take place before the series, right? That would explain a lot. Her first husband, how she got into the house. I watched the series a few years ago and now I want to re watch them all over again. Such a good story. It really gives you so much warmth and makes you feel good.
It is amazing how they were able to rehire the same cast years later. Plus they gave them a refreshing feeling to their characters. Never knew George was so removed from Cassie. He is the father of her husband’s late wife. Yet George took on being apart of the family. Not many father in laws would be so harmonious with the new wife of his son in law.
hi sirens, this is a very good movie. catherine bell is very hot she looked even better in her marine uniform. ok the reason for my reply to you is because you need to watch the first five seasons of "my three sons". it's pretty much the same back story the wife passed and the wife's father moves in to take her place. the wifes father does all the things his daughter does to help the husband raise the three boys. it was a very good show. i prefer the black and white episodes of the first five seasons.
I had 2 mother-in-laws that I got along with after my divorces. It's not so strange that George would get along with Cassie, especially since his own daughter had died. Cassie was good to his grandchildren. Why shouldn't he like her?

I was at a friends house yesterday and this show was on their tv. The person had back to back episodes, and being a fan of Catherine Bell, I got hooked. So now I am going to (over time) watch the entire series. Yes, as a guy in his 60s, I have lots of diverse interest.

I'm 70 years old and all I've been watching is at a condom monster movies the giant squids a lot of people die but I happen to see this and I thought what the heck watch it it was absolutely incredible what a moral story I almost started crying at the end and I'm not ashamed to say that it was such a fantastic story

i remember watching the seasons on netflix a few years back and recently finished the most recent seasons. (6 and 7) rewatching the series on netflix gave me such nostalgia that i had to do more research on this franchise, only to find that there is a line of movies that i can watch. i probably should've watched the movies before the seasons, but oh well. im excited to binge watch these movies and truly embrace all the joy good witch has brought. there's definitely that small town charm and i will never get sick of watching it. something similar to gilmore girls, i love the coziness and warmth.

I've never seen the movies, only the television series because my mom is a fan. Honestly, it's good to see where the show had its beginnings. And I'm glad some of the characters in this managed to make a comeback in the show. Although it's so strange to see Cassie Nightingale like this, I know she's supposed to be a witch but I'm so used to her personality in the show. And I'm glad Martha Tinsdale became of her closest friends.
I watched this movie when it was released in the theater (or it's on HBO? But almost nothing sticks in my memory, so it is enjoyable to watch it now. Love this genre. Big thanks to you, Rallie LLC!

Very nice movie, with no vulgarity, grossness, car wrecks, crazy car chases, gratuitous violence, grisly deaths. A real joy to watch a 'normal' movie. Love the series too. All the same characters are in the TV series as well. Catherine Bell is Scottish-Iranian. Her mother was from Iran, father was Scottish. She looks very Persian, with those lovely high cheekbones, and long lustrous hair. Interesting combination of ethnicities.

I think when peoples kids (under 18) commit a crime, their parents should be answering for it as well. The parent we're teaching them hate without cause, and where were the parents while cleaning up their boys mess. Set a good example and keep your kids in line and too busy to get in trouble. Know their friends and teach them kindness and to help others in need of their help with or without compensation... and there will be no trouble. I say this as a mother of a son now 50 years old and grandmother of three in their late 20s which I helped to raise when my son and daughter in law had to work in this expensive world today, but spent all their free time with all three kids doing sports. None of them have been in trouble, they all graduated with honors, and all have good jobs after earning their way through college. Having kids is a lifetime commitment, it isn't over in 18 years, because they have kids and so on. Now I am a great grandmother and proud of all my kids.
You do not have quite as much control as you would like to think, as a parent. You choose who you have a child with, and to some extent when. But you do not have full control over the soul of your child, even when they are quite young. You can influence and guide, but not fully control.
I binge-watched the Good Witch a while back, and only just now watched the movie which launched that series. Not surprisingly, there was a great deal of continuity from the movie to the series, as well as some inevitable small differences. But there was also a very profound difference between the movie and the series. The universe in which this movie was set contained a challenging post-industrial economy, child abuse, alcoholism, homelessness and a town that used intimidation and violence to drive out those they deemed to be "different." None of those realities ever penetrated the fantasy universe of the series which followed. The toughest issues that the series ever confronted were about whether or not some party or another would be ruined by petty squabbles. Enjoyable though it was, the series often seemed like a re-staging of The Love Boat, which each week featured characters who cruised into the town as they grappled with their petty and parochial issues. After watching this movie I'm forced to wonder how much better this series might have been if it was a bit more grounded in some of the realities included in the movie.
I agree! That was the main reason I felt that the series felt so "off." The first movie was a favorite because it had elements of reality in it, not a whitewashed, almost Disney-like series. They even got rid of some important characters in the series and never mentioned them again. Stick with the movies.

I love how Cassie wins people over with her gentle spirit and good nature. Even Martha (who was a Karen long before the term became popular) is not immune to Cassie's spell.
OMG, I have such a schoolboy crush on Catherine Bell. I recall watching JAG back in the day, but didn't really follow the story half the time. I'm almost 50 but I swear that woman can still make my heart skip a beat. Perhaps it's true, men never really grow up.

You need to see all the movies so you can see how Cassie eventually won Martha over. It took a while, but they did come to be friends.

Catherine Bell is Scottish-Iranian. Her mother was from Iran, father was Scottish. She looks very Persian, with those lovely high cheekbones, and long lustrous hair. Interesting combination of ethnicities.
I like how the movies are titled The Good Witch(‘s) and the series is just Good Witch. Both endeavors are excellent and charming. Two 👍

I think when peoples kids (under 18) commit a crime, their parents should be answering for it as well. The parent we're teaching them hate without cause, and where were the parents while cleaning up their boys mess.
Set a good example and keep your kids in line and too busy to get in trouble. Know their friends and teach them kindness and to help others in need of their help with or without compensation... and there will be no trouble. I say this as a mother of a son now 50 years old and grandmother of three in their late 20s which I helped to raise when my son and daughter in law had to work in this expensive world today, but spent all their free time with all three kids doing sports.
None of them have been in trouble, they all graduated with honors, and all have good jobs after earning their way through college.
Having kids is a lifetime commitment, it isn't over in 18 years, because they have kids and so on. Now I am a great grandmother and proud of all my kids.
You do not have quite as much control as you would like to think, as a parent. You choose who you have a child with, and to some extent when. But you do not have full control over the soul of your child, even when they are quite young. You can influence and guide, but not fully control.
Ive been watching the series on Netflix and here's the first movie seven years earlier! Lori and Brandon were so young!! They turn out pretty well!

What a terrific movie. :-) Catherine Bell is such a dynamic & captivating actor!
I binge-watched the Good Witch a while back, and only just now watched the movie which launched that series. Not surprisingly, there was a great deal of continuity from the movie to the series, as well as some inevitable small differences. But there was also a very profound difference between the movie and the series. The universe in which this movie was set contained a challenging post-industrial economy, child abuse, alcoholism, homelessness and a town that used intimidation and violence to drive out those they deemed to be "different." None of those realities ever penetrated the fantasy universe of the series which followed. The toughest issues that the series ever confronted were about whether or not some party or another would be ruined by petty squabbles. Enjoyable though it was, the series often seemed like a re-staging of The Love Boat, which each week featured characters who cruised into the town as they grappled with their petty and parochial issues. After watching this movie I'm forced to wonder how much better this series might have been if it was a bit more grounded in some of the realities included in the movie.
I agree! That was the main reason I felt that the series felt so "off." The first movie was a favorite because it had elements of reality in it, not a whitewashed, almost Disney-like series. They even got rid of some important characters in the series and never mentioned them again. Stick with the movies.

I loved this movie. It had all the elements of a good movie, mystery, intrigue, a cast of personalities and devious & interesting characters and everything turning out well in the end. 🐇💕🤬✨stars (5 stars)

I love how Cassie wins people over with her gentle spirit and good nature. Even Martha (who was a Karen long before the term became popular) is not immune to Cassie's spell.

OMG, I have such a schoolboy crush on Catherine Bell. I recall watching JAG back in the day, but didn't really follow the story half the time. I'm almost 50 but I swear that woman can still make my heart skip a beat. Perhaps it's true, men never really grow up.
