Testing Out The New SEI Alpha One Gen One Stern Drive. Might As Well Fish, Too!

My son and I are testing out the new SEI Alpha One Gen One stern drive I just installed on my Ranger 395V I/O bass boat. You can see that video here: • Installing an SEI Alph... . It needs 10 hours breaking-in time and it's doing great so far. This Ranger boat has an inboard Mercruiser 260 engine. We might as well fish while we're at it! We're at Lake LBJ. Lake LBJ is a reservoir on the Colorado River, about 45 northwest of Austin, TX. The dog's name is Buddy. He loves a boat ride.

Never seen an inboard bass boat. Great rig!

I found it online when I was looking for a bass boat. I was excited to see it had a Chevy 350 in it.

@@ProWrenching Whats the top speed? Having the 350 is like money in the bank.

The 350 is one of the best engines ever. My boat will do 60 mph right now. I think it could go faster with a bigger prop. I have seen a couple of guys on the internet that claim they can get over 70 MPH with the same boat.

Nice. I got a ranger 1850v with the mercruiser 488 engine i/o sitting in the back yard. Been looking for videos of them for years. Picked up a 18 foot pontoon boat and the poor ranger has been put to pasture years ago. I do miss its speed.
