Brilliant Video Guys ! shits on all the septic tank videos - very practical and good humour - cheers !
lmao all those edits. amazing, favorite one was the forgotten boat plug
As a complete trailering novice, this has been the clearest and most concise video I've seen to date.
This is by far the best video I’ve seen so far thank you
Love ❤️ the video.
It’s was extremely funny and enjoyable to watch but 100 bang on the points in what we have to do, especially visually pleasing, those boat fails had me 🤣😂👍🏻❤️
Best launch, retrieve and load video I've seen so far.
You did an excellent job describing the process plus showing the bad things that might happen if you miss a step. Thanks for the good quality video.
Thanks Bob! Hopefully we'll be uploading some more soon - stay tuned :)
Hilarious and informative! Love the blooper footage. Well done.
Awesome video , very informative with usable tips, thank you.
The best tutorial so far!
great informative video, loved the humor in it too!
"It'll gently come along the jetty"... BANG!
Fantastic job describing the launching and retrieving process. I liked the what not to do tips. Even being an experienced boat, watched the whole video. Keep up the good work !!
I realize Im kinda off topic but do anybody know a good place to watch new movies online?

Thank you Basel! Hopefully we can provide you with some more tutorials filled with humor. Stay tuned
Best launch vid so far mate
Appreciate the feedback Ray! Hope you're travelling well
Great video. If you do a remake, there's a couple of things I do. Have a rigging checklist. I have a checklist before I leave home to make sure I have packed everything, a rigging checklist and a derigging checklist. Tilting your outboard before launching? Unless your roads are dead flat, I'd tilt it before I leave home. (call it an outboard as technically it is an engine not a motor).Use stainless fittings ie your shackles to reduce rust and make sure they are loose in the rigging area. Also I only have one rope attached at the centre of the boat (amidship) and I can control the boat at the dock, but it takes a bit of practice.
Great video and great tips. Thanks for posting. The only problem with people driving their boats onto trailers instead of using their winch is that they often creat a deep hole at the end of the ramp which eventually destroys a good ramp. As time goes by trailer wheels end up falling into a deep hole at the end of the ramp and get stuck. The concrete ramp loses it's support and also drops, cracks and breaks away. Sure, it's a little bit harder, but I always think it's best to use your winch when you can.
No, these trailers are designed for driving the boat on. In most cases you don't have the outboard trimmed right down and in most cases you are not right at the end of the ramp anyway.
This is good: 'This may happen.' Funny AND educating! Thanks! Nice paint, btw-
Thanks for this is what’s you’ll come back to !I love it
Brilliant video....very nicely explained and demonstrated Thank you!!
Thanks Joe! Happy boating :) Give us a buzz if you ever have any questions
In your video, you mention that you can winch the boat on when you retrieve it. I always worry that doing that would put too much pressure on the hook at the bow......can the hook on the bow handle a boat as big as yours ok??? Thx
Great video, can you tell me the name of the boat recovery latch mechanism shown here at the very end.
For myself, just to try and be as courtious as possible, if the ramp is busy, I will try move the boat to the outside of the dock so that others may continue using it. People get pretty worked up at ramps if it doesn't keep moving. They act like theyre late for work instead of trying to have fun. I also keep a steel garden rake or a broom to move the seaweed out of the way. It makes it a lot less slippery when pulling out. Need all the traction you can get!
Yep, we all know how the ramps can be especially on a very busy day... I can only hope that fellow boaties offer a helping hand before yelling at other people who are just trying to experience what boating is truly about!
great video!!
i like how in all these boat launch videos, the boat ramps all have nice docks or shoreline to the sides of the ramp where you can safely tie up your boat. here in Missouri on the rivers the ramps have large CONCRETE docks that will tear your hull up if you so much as bump them even with bumpers (concrete so they don't float away or get damaged during floods). and when the water is higher the concrete is under water and idiots drive over them demolishing their hull. and there's nothing but rock shoreline to the side of the ramps. you certainly cant run a rope around a post like pictured here. yes, launching would be much easier if there is a nice floating wood dock with pretty white post. like to see him come here and try that. I'm envious
Awesome video!
Good video, thanks!
Absolutely fantastic! Dummy boat to show what it looks like. Brilliant!
very nice video and I like "IF YOU DON'T DO THIS, THAT IS WHAT WILL HAPPEN"
#252 here new channel here. Handy tips to refer back too great stuff
you did that like boss! great video!
Thanks Sophia!
Great video. Quick question: do you remove your safety chain before clicking your winch leaver over? Or can you do it in either order?
grat explanation thanks i learned something today
thx for making this video
If you messed around with ropes like that at a MN boat ramp on a weekend you're going to be castrated. Back it in the water, discinnect, hop in quick and fire it up to park it out of the way. The docks are rarely long enough for other people to launch their boat while you go park so you need to move it to the other side or beach it. Sometimes you're going to be parking at good 1/8 mile from the ramp.
Great job. Thanks very informative. GOD BLESS
I love how they say BOUGHT to you by
Very lucky to have somewhere where one can get a boat tied alongside a slipway. Not too many UK slipways have a pontoon for this, and one even has to almost beach the boat just off the slipway and find a tie up place in places. I was always taught to drive the boat back on the trailer.
Can be easier and quicker. One final point just get to know your slipway if possible and if in doubt, ask for local good advice.
Come to Australia, all our boat ramps are set up this way!
Yep I agree - come to Australia :) experience our waters here.
It's funny how on all these launch and load boats on your own there's never a million other boaters trying to do the same. Everywhere I go it's never empty like that at the docks to have the luxury of taking your time...
as he says gently with no fenders it smashes on the dock 2:29
should you start your engine before you launch completely? or with a smaller boat like a 14 ft. can i just unstrap and start outboard after
what is the name of the bow to trailer coupler device? i never seen that before.
Boat catch
Beautiful boat! How much a boat like that cost?
Good morning, feel free to email me on maz@allboatsandcaravans.com.au and I can send you some info :)
How many feet long is the black line you used to tie off/ control boat?
The rope we used was extremely long but as a general rule docklines should equal two-thirds of your boat's overall length.
You forgot to put out your fenders when reversing the boat out lol 😂🤣😅
Thank you for dragging the old boat from a junk yard for demonstration.
Hi, what is the name of the bow to trailer coupler device? 3:46
Boat catch
Bad example of showing what happens if you don’t have the winch strap attached while backing down the ramp (at the beginning of your video) since that boater CLEARLY has it attached...but we know what you’re trying to illustrate...especially in your case with a roller-trailer. He/she just unclipped the ratcheting gear of the winch, allowing for free-wheeling of the winch (you can look at the winch handle, and the hook still attached to the bow eye. In addition, you have some unnecessary steps in launching.
He didn't say winch strap..he said safety chain. He's 100% right. Stop being so critical!
@@brucecoleman9205 Well Bruce, safety is all about being critical and improve where possible to prevent the things that we all don’t want to see happen at the ramp! It’s all for a better and safe boating experience. We certainly don’t want cavalier boaters as I’m sure you have probably seen some preventable mishaps! Cheers.
Good, make more
Thanks Damo, we will release more in the new year!
Only 499 for that boat man that's a good deal
Who bought the video at the end? LOL
The Audi Q7 Towing capacity is only 1500 lbs. This boat is way more than 2000 lbs!
if you got a boat that big and no one to help you should re evaluate your life choices and mates
I prefer boating on my own, lol.
Hahahaha
I’d love a boat that big! Fuck you all and fuck people hahahahah
I'd say if you own a boat whether it be big or small and you can launch/retrieve it alone - then good on you? Of course it's great to spend time with mates but you should head out on a boat one time in your local waters and see how many people love to just have some alone time boating.
dumb attitude buddy.
'
better use a '' N '' as neutral transmission while down ramp to the water...
never use a '' R ''
What do you have the boat catch for, just for show. Tell me how could the boat slide off the trailer with the boat catch system.
I do get a lot of push back from my friends, but if you have a boat catch system, well use it. I have a cord on the ring on the lever, remove safety chain, winch hook all in the safety of the carpark, get my friend to back boat into the water, start outboard, put it into forward gear, pull cord which releases boat catch pin, drive off and driver then drives off to carpark, tidies up cord and opens up boat catch pin for retrieval.
Same in reverse, crewman backs trailer into the water skipper drive boat onto trailer, locks into boat catch car driver drives out.
No need for some to walk down slippery boat ramps, now need to leave car.th-cam.com/video/x6xTvEProzM/w-d-xo.html
Hes doing a one man launch as most of us dont have a boat catch I reckon. BTW how much was your boat catch and where did you get it? happy boating
@@MikeFasting777 I agree with that. Not sure of the price of our boat catch as it's on our rescue boat and as I'm in Australia may not help you.
Hillary's boat ramp....
Yes it is :)
That looks like a Yamaha motor
Hi Zackary, our Baysport is powered by a Suzuki and the other one was powered by a Johnson. Love a good Yamaha motor though :)
@@AllboatsandcaravansAu that's a pretty snazzy looking paint job!
That poor old boat, lol.
Hahahaha it definately had it's time!
Here is another demo.th-cam.com/video/Uf7MjNhNHi0/w-d-xo.html
