align text at the bottom of the circle. click over on a blank space. select just the circle. flip item vertically and it puts the text along the bottom curve of the circle so it curves up instead

I am having a problem that I hope someone can help me with. No matter what I do, when I try to select the text and my circle so that they are all in one box, it does not work. The text stays in one box and my circle in another. I have watched the video over and over trying to make sure I am doing exactly the same thing, but it just does not work. Any suggestions about what I may be doing wrong? HELP!!!!

What if I want to curve the top of the word up ?

Can you curve imported text. I have text with a certain font that I am trying to curve> Thanks in advance!
