Shawn definitely made the right choice by not marrying Sunny. What she did to Chris Candido was sick and is an example why you need to watch what woman you want to pursue.
It takes two to tangle. Shawn was horrible too. Both are clearly addicts. The only difference is Shawn was able to come through it. He didnt seem to care about Chris when he was fucking her.
It wasn't Shawn's choice, she chose to go back with Chris. Shawn actually wanted her to move into his new house he was building in Texas at the time and likely had marriage on his mind. It completely deflated his ego and made him deeply insecure, but in typical Shawn fashion he flirted with disaster and dodged a bullet.

@@MellowFresh No one is disagreeing with that. But saying THIS disrespect wrestling is twisting and stretching like a pretzel. This had zero to do with wrestling what so ever.
I have always had mixed feelings about Tammy. She was a great performer in SMW and WWF in the 90’s. She actually loved the wrestling business and I did enjoy her as a fan in those two companies but then when it comes to all the stuff between her and Chris that makes me not want to feel sorry for her back in the day. Look even Shawn Michaels has come out and said he was an asshole in the mid 90s. I think everyone will agree on that including him. I am a fan of his but I don’t want to be one of those wrestling fans that says my favorite wrestlers don’t do anything wrong and it’s only the wrestlers I dislike, because there’s way too much of that going on. But I always had a very big problem with fans and people in the wrestling business blaming Shawn for Tammy cheating on Chris. I don’t think Chris’s friends like Bam Bam Bigelow and Shane Douglas did him any favors because they were so obsessed with making the guys in the Kliq look bad they never once stopped and thought that he you’re kind of exposing your best friend or someone that you claim to be a best friend as a complete fool to the entire world. Don’t blame Shawn Michaels. This is where I stopped feeling bad for her because Chris seemed like a nice enough guy and he was a great worker but he should’ve left Tammy in 1996 and never looked back. He spent his entire adult life depressed because his old lady was fucking everybody. And the same people that gets so bent out of shape and want to point the finger at HBK never once blamed Tammy and never once pointed the finger at Brian Pillman, Raven, Hak, Davey Boy Smith, etc. there’s nothing wrong if she wants to sleep around but she should’ve broken up with Chris. Well let bygones be bygones none of us are perfect she was young Chris passes away but over all of her problems that she’s had since Chris passed away as an adult she never took any responsibility for her actions. And I hate saying this because I really was a fan of hers I’ve battled my own addiction problems and I’ve never looked to my current employer as it’s something they’re supposed to fix. As an adult you treat addiction like you do cancer if you know you have a problem, and clearly even Stevie Wonder could see this girl had a problem, it’s up to her to get the help. Constantly blaming the WWF for not fixing her doesn’t really cut it with me. I know she did an interview about a decade ago and she was trying to compare herself to other people That the WWE had helped but their problems were much deeper than just alcohol but since then they’ve improved their wellness program and they have gone public and said it is for anybody who has ever worked there. Once that option became available to her is when she finally stopped blaming WWE for not helping her. Which doesn’t really look good either if you’re going to sit here and say they’re not doing anything for you and then when there’s an open door you don’t wave that flag anymore that really kind of looks like she never wanted help to start with. Even at that I still never really like tell people dog piled on her and made fun of her because I’ve known some damaged women in my life and stuff like that isn’t going to help but at some point like Jim says it’s up to her. Before half of this happened she should’ve realized OK something very bad is going to happen and there’s a very good chance she might lose her freedom for a long time now. Very sad situation.
While I do agree w/ you that Tammy should be held responsible for the affair(s) she had on Chris, I think you oversimplify HBK's role in sordid affair way too much. The thing you have to understand is that people aren't/weren't mad at or blame HBK just because he was dicking Tammy down. They're mad at him because Shawn was actively lording it over the guy and rubbing his face in it, trying to run him out of the business, and even kill himself. And Tammy has no bearing on that part whatsoever, that was all Shawn's doing. Again, not saying your point doesn't have merit, cause it most certainly does, but just wanted to put the ire & hate for HBK in its proper context.
Jim has been very fair to her over the years and his kindness in terms of not piling on and realizing that Tammy has a boatload of problems, it was seen and appreciated. but he's also absolutely right that all of this is way too far, and it's been too far for awhile. I think we all knew how this story was going to play out. Sadly. It's either she's going to end up dead or, which we got, someone else did. She's been hellbent on self destruction and it sucks when we know someone like that. And it's a very human thing to not want to give up on someone like that and keep hoping they will turn it around, as so many do.
I may not agree with everything he says, but I will always respect him for the way he comports himself: firm but fair, and you never have to guess where he stands on things.
My sister was killed by a f*cked up driver at the age of 21, she was in her senior year in college. The driver got probation despite a lengthy record. My opinion is that if you take someone’s license away and they get caught driving, they go to jail for 6-12 months. If they do it a second time there should be a mandatory minimum lengthy prison sentence. Because they have shown no regard for the law or others safety. I don’t know how these people get away with so much.

Jims right. Its been sad for years. But now.. damn near 50 years old. 17 arrests in the last 10 years. Driving drunk after 7 DUIs in those 10 years. And you fucking kill someone. Obviously jail isnt helping, rehab has never worked for her. Shes gotta be qualified for 5150 at this point. She needs psychiatric help. Shes been living like its ecw for like 25 years. That life has been right on her heels the whole time. Seems like the other foot just dropped.
Saddest thing about getting 7 DUIs is that means she drove drunk many more times than that but was never caught. It was only a matter of time before she hurt or killed someone or herself. That is why it's so important to get people help right away at the first DUI, and then move to a hefty punishment such as revoking the license on the second DUI. No one should be able to get anywhere near 7 of them!
She got her first three all in a row and was able to get off light (90 days) by agreeing to go into rehab. But two of the later DUIs got her a year in jail each. She had a pending DUI case from early this year that would have probably put her away for multiple years even if the Florida thing had not happened. Her license was revoked a long time ago.
I used to volenteer at a place where people on probation did community service I have met folks with 10 DUI's and were still driving, if it was DWI never met anyone with less then 4. That being said I live in a very republican state. I worked with a guy from KY that had 12.
At the same point where they somehow let her go from jail enough times and quickly enough for her to get arrested 3-4 times in one day.......like there is only so much time in the day
The legal system can't do much with a person who isn't scared of jail or prison. After the third DUI, she got 90 days. After that, she has gotten a couple one-year sentences for additional DUIs. She has had plenty of jail time and at about 7 DUIs, she at the place where she has proved that she isn't going to be deterred by jail. This is the time with this sort of person where the system shifts from trying to scare them into just locking them up to protect the world from them. She will get buried legally this time.

I broke my neck my back and had to have pins and plates put in my arm for the rest of my life. They got about 6 months in jail after it was all said and done.
She's a celebrity but one without any money. It does make a difference, money rules all in this country. So there's no guarantees here. It'll be interesting to see how this ends up. If it goes stone silent, you'll know she got off easy and it got intentionally buried. She deserves to be prosecuted the same as anyone else on the street would be, in the same manner.

Exactly. And all those other guys were probably using her just for sex, while Shawn actually cared a lot about her apparently.

It was embarrassing and her problems were on display for everybody to see but you still hoped she’d turn it around.
You can go on for decades doing that shit.
Agree, bet Jake the snake often did the same thing
@@herzkine Difference is Jake the Snake beat his demons and is sober today.
The only other time you hear Cornette this broken up about something is when talking about a colleague's passing. It's breaking to hear.
Tammy is a train wreck of her own making. She's made choices as such and there is always going to be collateral damage for anyone she comes in contact with.
Sad but true…
Pretty much
When are they going to stop giving her another chance and actually put her away for a long time? She's clearly never going to learn.
Edit (Dec '23): well, 17 years is something, at least.
She has 17 years now to think about her behaviour.
She needs 50 or Life!
@@rowdyroughman At the age of 50 and with all the substance abuse, 17 years in prison pretty much is life.
I had no idea this happened until I came upon the story on TH-cam this morning. First thing I did was look up this video for Corny's reaction. The poor guy sounded utterly defeated and tragically dissapointed. I once cared for a woman like this, and so I've been in similar shoes. Unfortunately, they're a lost cause and the best thing you can do is get the hell away from them before they take you down too.
He should talk and feel for the family of the man she unlived. Not talk about how she used to be a semi decent person. It’s vile.
@@RustieFawn He didn't know the guy, but he knew her. It's hard to be completely impartial when a person you were fond of turns out to be a drugged up maniac
Meanwhile Sable has been in a healthy happy relationship on the farm with Brock Lesnar 15+ years
Lucky Brock
She like 56 or 57 but she is kept out of the spotlight for years. Maybe next year she Will be inducted to the WWE Hall of Fame
I generally believe that Jim Cornette's critiques of Sable are correct. However at least Sable was smart enough to realize that she can't keep monkey branching and settled down with Brock. Also the fact that Brock made a wife and mother out of her shows that he has pure 100% Grade AAA Machismo.
@@RealDaveTalk hell nah, vince hates Sable she tried to sue the WWE a few times, if she does make it to the HOF it's because she is married to Brock and he finessed her in.
@@woewoevision2812 Vince brought her back after she sued them. The lawsuit was in 1999. She was brought back for a year from 2003-2004. She left WWE when Brock left. So no, Vince doesn’t hate her.

@@Unethical_Ethical_HackTips right, she is always rewriting history
The judges that let her walk off more than 1 DUI should all be held accountable.
Or the people who vote Democrat and appoint these judges who are soft on crime
I don't think there was. It was multiple judges giving her multiple penalties in accordance to the standards of multiple states.
its the laws they dont have strong enough laws against drunk driving, because when bad accidents happen and people die, everyone can say thoughts and prayers, and then not tackle the issue of people driving drunk, one factor is fact that alcohol is every where, and people act like its normal to get drunk all the time and what every happens, remember to say thoughts and prayers because that will solve the situation

Jim brought her into the business and the business brought out the toxic side and addiction side of Tammy. The worst thing that happened to her was getting into the wrestling business. Had she stayed out and went down the medical school route, she'd likely be better off today and at least a few people would be alive.
she was a bad person before wrestling, listen to Candido's brothers interview. She was a user and manipulator of people long before wrestling
As Chris Benoit said once (and ironically, it also applied to him) the world doesn't push you into the darkness, you do.
Shawn Michaels really dodged a bullet not marrying Tammy. Now he has a lovely family, found God and completely changed his old ways and a great job in WWE working on NXT. Unlike Tammy, he grew up.
The Kliq took bets on whether Chris would kill himself after Sunny cheated on him. Shawn’s horrible
@@strnglhld that was also 25+ years ago? I'm not saying Shawn's a saint but holding decades old actions against someone when theyve obviously changed is ail much
Ya Shawn Michaels is an ass. The reason he has the job he has is because of all the ass kissing he did, and dirty politics in the locker room, shitting on people and back stabbing, and being lucky enough to be friends with the guy who was smart enough to marry the owner’s daughter. He doesn’t have the job he has because he’s a “born again Christian” and an all around good guy. Sure, he got sober and never killed anyone in a car wreck, but come on.

Funny Jim gave Sable a lot of flack from back in the day, but somehow Sunny became the fuckup out of the two hottest women in the 90's. 🤷♂️🤦🏽♂️😂
Well said. As much as I enjoy Jim’s commentaries, this is where I disagree with him. He’ll defend or excuse bad behavior by despicable people like Bill Watts, Ric Flair, Grizzly Smith, and Sunny because they “respected the business”, but he’ll constantly slam people like Kenny Omega, Kevin Nash, and Sable because either they looked at wrestling as a way to make money or they were doing something different that Jim happened to not like.
@@ANonymous-bq7wg I Agree. I disagree with Jim on that as well, how can you excuse someone's bad behavior just because they were passionate or good at business. At the end of the day right is right and wrong is wrong no matter who is doing it. He tore Sable to shreds for years just because she wasn't a natural at wrestling or in my opinion wouldn't "fuck the boys in the back" while Sunny did every drug under the sun and slept with more men than a whore at a whore house while cheating on Chris Candido, multiple arrests, etc. Jim's logic sometimes and in this case makes no sense.
@@ANonymous-bq7wg well yeah. That's what makes it hard to listen, jim cornette has done wonders for the wrestling biz but he sucks at politics and plays favoritism. Bottom line is sunny/tammy killed a dude and that makes her an awful person.
To be fair, he saw in Sable just someone trying to use wrestling to get elsewhere, and he's had some words about women in wrestling who did that and wasted a spot.
So yeah, Sable wasn't a great part of the business, but being a fucktoy for the bosses is certainly better than being a drugged out waste.
@@jesuszamora6949 Two wrongs don't make a right. Just because Sunny fucked most of the boys in the locker room and kissed Cornette's ass doesn't excuse the fact that she is a fuckup in life despite all the blessings and opportunities bestowed upon her. She makes Sable look like a saint!😂
Sable probably didn't care about wrestling and didn't put up with some of the boys in the locker room bullshit but compared to Sunny she turned out a lot better in later life. Those are Facts regardless whether you or anybody wants to admit it or not 🤷♂️

Spot on by Jim here. Terrible and tragic situation for Tammy and her family as well as for Julian Lasseter and his family and friends. RIP
I was not aware that she killed someone I just assumed it was drug or alcohol charges like what else is new
Also a perfect example of two legal systems. There is no reason why she shouldn't get multiple years in prison.
It's Florida..... it'll never happen, that's the only reason she's been allowed to get this far. Somewhere like Illinois she would have permanently lost her license with the 3rd DUI and would have had jail time for everything after
@@nebraskajoenelson8987 That is exactly what has happened to her. She got 90 days after her third and a permanent suspension. Just about every DUI after, she has gotten sentenced to a year. @@nebraskajoenelson8987 tell them she has Disney ties, that'll do the job.

Blonde white woman. She'll just get probation.
Her B.A.C. was .280, so I’m pretty sure she’s gonna be going to prison for at least 15-20 years.

I'm also glad that Bret Hart didn't merry her.
She needs to be locked up and do real prison time.
What's DUI mean?
@@TimothyRice135 driving under influence. Driving while intoxicated basically via alcohol, or drugs.
@@TimothyRice135 Driving Under the Influence. Seriously, you never heard this term?
@@Rockhound6165 I don't drive!
Shes so far gone.
True
I used to volenteer at a place where people on probation did community service I have met folks with 10 DUI's and were still driving, if it was DWI never met anyone with less then 4. That being said I live in a very republican state. I worked with a guy from KY that had 12.
7 DUIs? At what point is the legal system negligent?
Aren’t DUIs prosecuted by whatever state it occurs in? I live in a city on my states border and it’s common that folks will move across state lines to be eligible for a drivers license. I’m curious if all of her offenses occurred in one or multiple states.
@@michaeldehart3253 Multiple states. Her first three were in PA. Then four in New Jersey. She doesn't have a valid license in any state and also has multiple convictions for driving with a suspended license.
Unfortunately you can’t get locked away for life for duis. And it’s so easy especially for some females to get access to cars
She wont do life. Even if she was passed out drunk and high on every drug known to man. Shes a woman and she is somewhat a celebrity. She'll get a few years but she'll get out. She'll plead out to lesser charge. She'll get a little jail time and probation. I was wrecked by a drunk driver. It almost killed me. I broke my neck my back and had to have pins and plates put in my arm for the rest of my life. They got about 6 months in jail after it was all said and done.
Women only serve a fraction of the jail time that men serve for the exact same crime.
I love Jim’s stories because he just goes in and paints the scene as you picture it come to life in your head.
The sorrow in his voice as he talks about Tammy is certainly authentic, because he had respect for her and she had it for him as well.
So for him to see someone fall so hard and dig themselves in a hole too deep to dig out of is a huge pill you’re being forced to swallow dry.
I agree. He said it himself on Dark Side: "I wouldn't see that coming from the girl that I first met".
Shawn was a very smart man because he knew his life would be like a reality show sunny hasn't been the same since Chris candido's passing
Shawn as awful as he was in the 90s got his shit together in the early 2000s, probably saved his life.
She was getting fucked up outta her mind before Chris died. Shit just started coming back to bite her after he passed.
If he had stayed with Sunny, Shawn probably would have been dead by 2001. He was lucky he married Rebecca instead.
