So interesting!! From what I see the country more specifically Georgetown has more of a Caribbean feel rather than South American. Of course not trying to generalize the whole country. So cool, definitely underrated South American country! Will definitely visit!!
I'd heard of Guyana but didn't know where it was.. if I'd have to guess, I would have guessed Africa but I think that would have just been because of a similarity to 'Ghana'.. 🤷 I loved this video, Guyana looks so beautiful, the people, the food, everything looks good.. I'd love to visit one day! ❤
I lived in Guyana in the late 80's and made several shorter trips there. I found it to be a simple, vibrant life with happy people, despite the almost daily blackouts. I'm sorry you had such a bad experience there in 2016 and that you gave yourself another chance to experience it. For more Jewish population, try going next door to Suriname, which has a long Jewish history and a community that is still there. FYI, when I tell people I used to live in Guyana, they say "Ghana?" Then I have to explain that it is in South America. More people were familiar with the older term "British Guiana."
B) heard about Guyana but knew very little of the nation or her people. So your Vlog is educational, and brings us to parts of Guyana that tourists may not travel to. Always informative through your lenses!
Jonatan is my maternal uncle; I'm Brazilian, but I experienced all of this as a child. It's always an emotional experience for people to discover the beauty of Guyana!
Fun fact: Guyana just recently received a rapid economic boost which makes them one of the if not the fastest growing country in the entire world. Unfortunately, the country still deals with corruption, but let's hope it could get better with the increased amount of GDP per capita they just received last year.
Brian's reaction to 6 million people in Phoenix is absolutely precious ❤️ with all of the hurricanes, tornadoes, fires and volcanoes right now, it feels like the end of the world. But seeing these videos of the pure happy survival of humans like these makes me believe we'll be okay ❤️
I had a friend from Guyana and her childhood (50+ yrs ago) was in rural Guyana...don't remember the name but she told me about picking fresh yummy fruits from the trees, mainly fish as a protein, growing their own veggys, bleaching diapers in the sun...homemade hooch and she was of the Baha'i faith. Glad things have improved so much. I'm a "poor", by Canadian standards but if a very happy, kind man who travels for a living ever felt the urge to donate airmiles, she could go visit a friend of 50 years in Luze, Czech Rep 😊😉😉 💚💙🇨🇦❤ Love your videos, Drew. Stay safe. CINDY Coaldale S. Alberta.
Guyana's ex president Janet Jagan was Jewish. She was born in Chicago and married Cheddi Jagan, Guyana's first president. She was elected to finish his term after he died and then was elected to her own term after that.

Another Awesome Adventure Drew Binsky the Reason I Remember the county of Guyana being mentioned is from Hearing about the Jones Town Cult Massacre in the News back in November 18, 1978 other than i the knew nothing about Guyana 🙂 Watching from New Brunswick Canada🙂
Preferred this video to the Haiti video. This was nice and wholesome and seemed to be a lot more respectful in general. It seemed like a nice fun adventure. More of this type of thing and less needless dangerous video's
This is one of my favorite video of yours, Drew. Makes me want to visit Guyana too. Such beautiful people and looking forward to try their local dishes. 💛
🇬🇾🔥 Loved to see this, you did Guyana justice now, Drew. I lived there (im Dutch) for 8 months this year for an internship. Similarily to you, i was warned about the roughness and dangers there. Thinking I'd have a bad time, it turned out to be some of the best months ever. What a beautiful country, especially the Rupununi. Never had any problems while living there. The Guyanese are some of the most hospitable people I've met, and they really enjoy partying and the outdoors. Having said that, I've also heard of plenty bad things happening in Georgetown, like robberies and assaults. One still has to be careful, use common sense, like evwrywhwre. As you've seen, the beauty of Guyana is in the interior. I've had the privilege to visit several parts of the country during my time - but tourism remains unaccessible for most of the country due to extremely high prices (because of the oil boom)
seeing these beautiful people and breath taking country, makes me wanting to move,,away from the country I once knew,,,,to a way of life that appears so much more loving and peaceful. Thank you for sharing your adventure, love to all
Looks like Guyana and the people of Guyana Are soo cool. No offense but when they speak the Creole English its like music to my ear. Its like they are saying a Poem in a Rap. Such a cool people..
My Danish father grew up in Colombia and he absolutely loved it! I learned that most Hispanic and native people are very kind and welcoming...nothing to fear and the food is fabulous!
On my plans for travel ive looked into the middle east, Europe, east asia, south America and Africa. Never looked into the northern sputh America countries like venezuela, guyana or Suriname always thought they were extremely dangerous. I believe guyana is going to be my next solo travel destination this video has opened my eyes quite a bit
It’s really cool seeing how these countries really are compared to the narrative we have all been told. Thank you for doing these videos because they are all awesome Drew!
I tell people I wanna travel to South America all the time here there and everywhere, I always hear how dangerous it is, I think if all you watch is the news about other countries your bound to come up with this narrative that it’s just way to dangerous,m

Loved this video! I’ve been binge watching all day and this is one of my favs ❤
8:43 In my Country South Africa that's what we call that kind of fish SNOEK.I'm just surprised that's they also call it snoek in their country.
20:36 God bless her. I too had a few relatives pass away ❤
Finally you did a little more justice to Guyana ❤🇬🇾
YESSS Thank you so much Drew for visiting Guyana! I’m just about to watch this video, I truly hope u had an amazing time there!
Loved watching this Drew. I was born there and still scared whenever I visit. After watching this I will definitely venture out farther next time. Thank you 🙏🏽.
Thank you once again for brining out the charm,, friendliness, and warmth of the Cuban people. I got to experience this amazing city through your eyes, and it is plain to see that you did make some contact with the father who got you the historic table for the too-sweet ice cream I will never visit Cuba but your lens got me a goo view. Thank you.
So interesting!! From what I see the country more specifically Georgetown has more of a Caribbean feel rather than South American. Of course not trying to generalize the whole country. So cool, definitely underrated South American country! Will definitely visit!!
That’s true. We consider ourselves more Caribbean than South American. You’re welcome anytime to visit
I am a Guyanese and I really appreciate you coming to my country and seeing all the beautiful sights
It’s trippy to see Amazonian tribe speaking English . Very cool!
The Smile of the Children gives me joy in every video
I'd heard of Guyana but didn't know where it was.. if I'd have to guess, I would have guessed Africa but I think that would have just been because of a similarity to 'Ghana'.. 🤷 I loved this video, Guyana looks so beautiful, the people, the food, everything looks good.. I'd love to visit one day! ❤
We have alot of African slaves descendants here
I love these people. Their smile is contagious
Wow thanks for sharing. Such a beautiful nation ❤
these people are genuinely happy god bless them.
the authenticity and how genuine these videos are you can feel through the screen. great work bro
My partners father is from Guyana! I can't wait to go there. All of his family is so kind and close to one another.
I was in Little Guyana a couple months ago! Trinciti Roti Shop was fantastic!
trinciti is a trini shop not guyanese!!!
B) heard about Guyana but knew very little of the nation or her people. So your Vlog is educational, and brings us to parts of Guyana that tourists may not travel to. Always informative through your lenses!
Guyana is so beautiful and the people are super nice. By the way, good work on making the video. 👏👍. May you be blessed abundantly.
Can we all appreciate the fact that DREW never disappointed us with his content. 🤗🥰🤚
The thing that is most important for me is that when someone visit a country and show me that country, I kinda want to visit and experience that place.
The people who were at the Airport when you arrived where all fans of your channel.😃💪.
Btw love your videos😄
Another Awesome Adventure Drew Binsky the Reason I Remember the county of Guyana being mentioned is from Hearing about the Jones Town Cult Massacre in the News back in November 18, 1978 other than i the knew nothing about Guyana 🙂 Watching from New Brunswick Canada🙂
It’s way more than a massacre 🙏🏼
I’m glad he cleared up his doubts and re-experienced Guyana to see it’s real beauty. Respect! 👍🏻
Man… he really visited every country, he completed earth lore.
Preferred this video to the Haiti video. This was nice and wholesome and seemed to be a lot more respectful in general. It seemed like a nice fun adventure. More of this type of thing and less needless dangerous video's
9:16 "Guyanese Watch Skunt" LOOOOOOL
Thanks so much for sharing this! I agree !
Still pretty dangerous there compared to many nations.
seeing these beautiful people and breath taking country, makes me wanting to move,,away from the country I once knew,,,,to a way of life that appears so much more loving and peaceful.
Drew does the best at traveling content! Keep doing your thing Drew! We love you.
You are so kind - thank you!
I Like when you eat whatever the locals are eating or drinking, you are a great person
Yes please do visit Guyana
It’s really cool seeing how these countries really are compared to the narrative we have all been told. Thank you for doing these videos because they are all awesome Drew!
I tell people I wanna travel to South America all the time here there and everywhere, I always hear how dangerous it is, I think if all you watch is the news about other countries your bound to come up with this narrative that it’s just way to dangerous,m

Only some parts are & you wonder around aimlessly, have a local private guide & you'll do fine & have a really fun time. Even then, criminal gangs in those places largely won't touch tourists knowing their will be massive geopolitical fallout if they do, you leave them alone, they'll leave you alone.
@@tristanbackup2536 yea I agree with you, common sense goes a long way also
