No... inquisitor mace is not now better to use at casual slayer. Slayer helm breaks the set effect. If you wear slayer helm, the mace is the same as before since slayer helm breaks the inquisitor set. This is also the reason why I think the buff is not that great since outside slayer scythe just out dmg mace pretty much.
I’ve been using the heavy ballista a lot for slayer and bossing, on rapid it feels as fast as a cbow but hits way harder and feeling pretty accurate aswell hitting multiple 40s in a row

I was never allowed to be a member when i was a child, so i came back to this game a few months ago to fulfil my childhood dream and the first skill I'm maxing is magic... the best change is the elemental weaknesses there's no way they should've waited this long to put them in. with weakness to slash, crush, ranged etc it only makes sense that they added elemental damage. Unfortunately i bought a amulet of fury like a week before the price crash but all my staves went up so theres that i guess

with elemental weakness we could see monster being weak to fire. and next phase weak to another. this could also work for other combat styles in general. but we dont really see it. imagen a new earth elemental monster need to use elemental spell to weaken defensive layer and then its weak to crush or something.
Also all styles had this. The "splash" is a miss, and all combat styles could miss. All styles could roll a hit of zero even if the accuracy check was successful. Now, any successful accuracy check will roll a minimum of 1.
Hope they do another round of buffs for the soul reaper axe. One of the cooler melee weapons that needs a little more love to make its health trade-off and price justifiable. Either an accuracy or damage buff, maybe even both

Soulreaper is way stronger than you are letting on. Yes, it's really good at Vardorvis, but it's also really strong at Duke, some pet hunting like Scurrius. It's BIS at any equal resistance/slash def slayer. It's even better on crush weak enemies than bludgeon due to the massively higher max hit. Being able to spec, get HP on stack fall off, and extended stack times is a massive buff.

Zulrah is also weak to fire spells in each of its phases. Much easier to camp the fire spells and learn movement at Zulrah before bringing gear switches now.
Accursed spectre, zammy cape, charge spell, and auto cast flames you’ll hit like 45 +on range and melee phase it’s nuts. Does fire tome count on zammy flames now ?

I just got back into osrs recently & with all my accounts being banned or me being permenatly locked out of them I started fresh. I've been having so much fun lmao, there's actually so much new content.
All of the caster changes are pretty cool. Auto Casting, Elemental changes and damage distribution all sound like good things imo. But then again I am just a poor nooblet so not sure how good the damage distribution actually is in practice.
i thinl the tome nerf is too heavy because it makes elemental spells even worse on monsters without weakness. a system where it stays the same on monsters without weakness but caps at some point on monsters with weakness would have been nice to see.
Justiciar does have a set effect, it reduces damage taken by a %age based on your total current defense or something close to that, basically it reduces the damage you actually do take.
I liked that they actually made Augury useful cause out of instinct I always used that cause i thought it was the best, and know i won't waste prayer RSN TBMHG Also I could have sworn i upgraded to nezy but maybe that's just me (jkjk it was probably after the video was made)
The soul reaper change definitely mad either better for casual slayer. Is it a weapon that's meant for casual slayer? Not really. It it the best option for it? No. Is it fun to walk around slamming 60s on shit? Absolutely.
I think the change to occult, while probably good for the average user, was a pretty bad change for some communities. The pure community got hit pretty bad, despite mains being *mostly* unaffected. All this, after there was an uproar a few years ago about pures potentially gaining access to addy gloves. It does somewhat feel like they're reluctant to give pures buffs, but don't consider them at all when handing out nerfs. Either these account types exist, or they don't. Personally, I could completely forgive the occult nerf on my pure if they'd remove def XP reward from nature spirit. I just want magic secateurs and fairy rings on my 1 def account.
osrs dev team treats the game as if it's a modern game that receives regular balance patches. if i wanted that I'd play a modern game that simply does that thing better. I'll come back if they release ososrs. played off and on classic btw.
The devs ignore polling and just do whatever they want. They cant be trusted with their own game, just look at rs3. Oh well, it was nice while it lasted.

It's not a set effect anymore, each piece just gives a bonus now.

What I wonder: Does Iban's blast count as a wind spell, fire, or neither? Does the sunlight crossbow count as light, standard, or heavy?

I think Soulreaper axe has more uses than just vardorvis. So far i also use it at Sarachnis, Duke, Cerberus and normal slayer tasks!

ghrazi rapier needs a spec, justicar armor needs a set bonus.
