These are so cool. I really have to get giving some of these a try. I've been a little bit busy these days with other things... like income taxes and such... but when I'm done, I need to get a few Easter cards made. A chance to try some illusion cards, perhaps. :-D

Thank you for sharing these wonderful ideas, Ann. You are always so inspiring! The last card is a perfect way to use a very busy patterned paper. I never know what to do with those and that peek of pattern is perfect to frame a black and white image! Bravo!

Thank you for this amazing series. I love flowers and floral paper but fussy cards don’t always suit, especially for grandsons, husbands, etc. I hope you continue with this type of tutorial. I really appreciate that you are only using very basic dies as specialized dies are expensive and hard to get in some countries. Any kind of graphic card would be lovely to see. Thanks again. :)

Hello. I'm fairly new to cardmaking myself and when I first started, I felt the same way you do... so I started to use ephemera and toppers to get some cards made and not feel overwhelmed. That might help you, because it's basically fastening layers of card, paper, and ephemera to the fronts of card basis (which you can make yourself from cardstock or you can buy them pre-made). Ann has some really interesting cards that are fun to try to make, so heading to her channel page will let you scroll through her videos to see what you might want to learn. (Just click on her name below the video to get to her channel page.)
You might also find inspiration and instruction watching Kristie Marcotte. She makes cards with layers and ephemera or cut pieces that are beautiful, yet easy for beginners to follow.
