How do the stations feel about you recording? Over here in the states its very touchy.
Generally there is no law here in Germany and in fact in most parts of Europe where you are not allowed to film at stations. With metro stations like this if "your personality" looks suspicious than you will probably be asked what you are doing and maybe told not to but it is not illegal. Secondly I did work experience with the SSB (Stuttgarter Straßenbahn AG) so I am familiar to them and they know that I am a enthusiast. Where I can tell you where you can't really just freely film without permission is the London Underground unless you have contacted them saying you will be filming although I never knew that one is not allowed to film in the US. A good tip for me if I ever do visit the US.
Transportfan2 Thank you for the answer. It is not that you are not allowed to film here it is just after 9/11 the cops think literally everyone is a terrorist so they question everyone. Though I have been extremely lucky and the few times I have been stopped by the cops I just told them what I was doing and they said just know I’m not the only cop out here and left me be.
