I was there - I was 18 years old - I went by myself and stood in line for 10 hours. It was first come first serve on seats. I was 10 feet away from the stage. He threw out tamborines and I almost caught one - and then all of a sudden somebody threw a cherry smoke bomb - I grabbed the guy's jacket in front of me to cover my face - could not breathe and had to leave and go sit up in the chairs - I was so upset - I think I was the only sober person there, but still, I will never forget this concert and I'm so glad I found it!!! I'm 59 years old now and have always looked for it and never found it - I can't believe it is here on youtube - thank you with a big heart!!!!!
That's amazing and I am so glad I helped you relive what was another fantastic concert by Mr. Frampton! You are very lucky to have seen him when he was ruling the World in 76 and 77! Did you see yourself in the crowd? LOL
I saw Framton in '77 too. I was in 7th grade and I stood on stage behind the curtain 10 ft from Mr Peter Frampton. My friend's uncle was Len Trumper, the concert promoter.
Saw him in Albuquerque in 2019. Still killing it! So sad about his illness, but you'd never have known it at that Farewell Concert. Unbelievable! This man flat out rocks.
You lucky bastard. I was born in 1995. Completely missed the good times. All my friends are dead. Living is agony. You had your great years, that I can never have. Have a great rest of your life.
Peter Frampton in 1976 was the best. His album was something everyone listened to. BOOMERS, we had the best of everything and that is why our music is so relevant today.
Reminds me of when I was 7 yrs old in 1977 when my brother hooked a copper pipe up to the stereo and made a make shift Talk Box. I used to pretend I was Frampton. 70s Ruled!!
In 76 he was touring his Frampton Comes Alive album, an he came to Austin Texas,an performed right off interstate #35 in a great large field.I was about 19 or 20 with two of my best friends.I anticipated a large crowd so we left home an drove just 90 miles to the sight the night before . People were camped out big time outside the concert sight. Everyone was partying, then we went to sleep, got up the next morning, walk about 1000 ft. to the gates . We were some of the first to walk in,an we were able to settle in the center.A lot of people brought a blanket to spread out on the ground, such a large crowd settled in ,that if you needed to go somewhere you had to walk over an around people very slowly ,an carefully. The sound system was good for back then. Also at the show were Santana,America,an others I can’t remember,Frampton came on last. This concert was in middle of a hot august summer, it was about 3:00 afternoon when everybody was feeling the crunch, when 5 large Huey helicopters appeared 100ft. above cranking out those big blades starting a gigantic whirlwind instantly cooling everyone for about 30 minutes then hover off, the site an sound were enormous ,paper cups an trash were rising up into the sky, it was a magical site. I am 66 yrs old now an the70s were great to the end!!!!
Amazing story, had chills reading it. I never got to see him, I wish otherwise. I did see some amazing concerts in the 70's, back when we waited in line for hours and hours to buy tickets, and strangers shared their food and drinks with you. During the concerts, joints were passed around and EVERYONE was stoned. We thought those times would last forever...
I was at the Sunday Break I in Austin Tx.in May of ‘76. Frampton , Gary Wright, Santana and America.. Frampton puts on such a great show, getting the crowd involved and making you feel part of his show. He seems like a very humble guy.
Thank you so much for doing this for us Boomer's....You know, the fuckin' coolest generation EVER! I was 17 at the time and lived through the Frampton craze....still one of the best live albums ever. But...here's a little secret - I sometimes tear-up when I listen to this album; not always but enough to not admit it until now. Peace to all my Boomer brothers and sisters. Stay strong...Peace and love always!
Right there with ya buddy! Same age group and those girls, oh the girls. Our era was the BEST! Lines on my face always puts a lump in my throat until the lead guitar kicks in! Cheers....
Thank you, Steve! Back at ya, brother! 𝐅𝐫𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐭𝐨𝐧 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐬 𝐀𝐥𝐢𝐯𝐞! has always been my favorite rock album! He's such a fantastic artist! Such memories I still have from those times!
This is so, so beautifully done!!! It doesn't get any better!!! Frampton and his bandmates are having the time of their lives putting on a superb show with big smiles on their faces!!! Together, they are creating a special energy!!! A VERY SPECIAL ENERGY!!! Now if we can create that energy just by the fact that everyone is there for one common goal, to have the time of their lives, the one's that we never forget!!!
I hit the send button by accident!!! So, imagine how easily we can find the world of ALL THAT IS BAD,and there's a lot of shit going in everywhere: prejudism, division of human beings (the bad want to "divide & conquer") my good brother JF told me that, "I think it's a Machiavellian thing", he said!!! We have to come together as one, and we will all be untouchable!!! Just the BILLIONARES won't like it!!! This is what I have to say: Money is Evil, Billionaires have lots of Money, THEREFORE, ALL BILLIONAIRES ARE EVIL!!! IT'S VERY SIMPLE MATH, just as easy as 123!!! 1+2=3

He still has his Posh home counties (Tj 1:11:13) Kent accent here. He's lost it now become all "Mercanized" This is with the full FCA line up. Classic. The best band he ever had. Bob Mayo on the keyboards.
In the summer of 1977 I was 18 years old. My buddy said, Frampton is coming this summer, want to go? I was, well maybe. His reply, dude! chicks galore! I said, Cool!!, lets go. He picked-up the tickets and I'll never forget that show to this day when I'm 60 years old. Peter jammed! and the girls, like a magnet, Peter attracted the all the lookers! I recall after the show out in the parking lot smoking a few joints with a couple hot blonds. Good times!

What a great show!!! What a great time to be alive back then, especially if you were young!!! I was!!! And I happened to have such a great life, it's almost not fair (thank you God and/or whomever else may have had something to do with making me so happy & lucky)!!! And I still have a beautiful life!!! My parents are easily most responsible for giving me the wonderful life I've had, if we don't include any not human forces at play!!! So I'm forever thankful to them, and they are still alive and well by the way ( again, thank you God for that as well)!!! Back to the great music of the sixties and mostly, the seventies, the other most important factor in allowing me to have such a blessed life!!! Thank God for that!!! And thanks for all the beautiful girls I've met, and had the pleasure in many instances to make out with some of them and make love with many more!!! And thanks for all the beautiful people I've met along the way and in many cases, formed some of the greatest relationships/friendships that one can only dream to be so lucky!!! And, last but not least, for my entire family, although some relatives, and friends also, are very jealous of me and my happiness and spend their time talking about me, because they don't know what else to do with their miserable lives!!! Very insecure, I feel sad for them!!! Anyway, peace, love and tranquility to everyone single one of you, may God bless us all, and don't forget to take some time to enjoy the music, and your lives as well!!! Peace out...
I saw this live tour just before they released the FCA album and remember thinking to myself, wow this guy was really good. Without all the flash and the pants suits etc. I will never forget how it made me feel even to this day. I am getting goosebumps just thinking how awesome it was. Lines on my face was the one for me and always has been.
Same here Bobby. Saw him at the Tower Theater , just outside of Philly. 3rd row center ! I’ll never forget it. Small venue, 3000 seats or so. He was incredible. I know how you feel Bobby. I’m 65 and WISH I could go back.
I saw PF at MSG in july 77 - it was the im in you tour. And now here it is on TH-cam and suddenly instead of being 61 im 17 again . God bless you for posting this. Tomorrow is Sunday August 8/29/21 and at my guitar lesson at new York city guitar school my teacher ( josh torvi).and I will , God willing , continue to work on our duet of baby i love your way and i will.sort of unveil my self-created solo .
I might go see him in April in Reno at the Grand Sierra. I saw him in 1975 at Winterland in San Francisco, June 75, I had just graduated high school and at 18 just starting my life out. Then saw him On A Day on The Green in Oakland in August 1977 with Dave Mason, Robin Trower, Frampton, Fleetwood Mach and Gary Dream Weaver Wright. Incredible. I saw him also in 2005 at Konocti Harbor Clear Lake and he was spectacular then too!
This takes me back...I was 16 years old and Peter was the biggest star on the planet...not just music..he was the threw the roof. I’m grateful for this footage...wish it was mixed better and without the warp, but beggars can’t be choosers...👍 Tried to Love at 39:00 was outstanding to hear live.
I recall when this record came out. Peter's songs are always about love, the sky, moon and sun and stars and fireflies...Etc Man that was a great year!!! My Teen first Love and I in the 3 foot grass meadow................ Oh My Heavens what a year and Peter was the Main music for us all - up to our nefarious teen miss-deeds ---Call the moral majority With all due haste!!! And we were all alright as someone said.
I was at the Phoenix concert same tour right around that time like July 9th 1977. Great show, even way back then a great performance. Thank you for putting this up really brings back the memories. I was 16 at the time and just learning to play guitar. Watching this little dude captivated all those people was an inspiration. The acoustics in 1977 were better than many shows today. Frampton took the time to make it sound right live.
I heard Peter Frampton‘s name and all of a sudden back it brought back a whole swash of memories I was about 18 at the time and I thought he was the Hottest thing on the planet! Now I am 62 years old and I watch this video and it brings me back to my teenage years which were the best part of my life I love you Peter Frampton!
Absolutely love this. I was 9 when this tour happened and I remember asking my Dad if he would take me to see the concert when the commercial came on TV - NOPE!!😂😂😂. Oh well guess this will have to do👍👍👍👍!!!
My wife and I saw Peter Frampton’s FCA-35 Tour at Long Beach, CA. It was the best concert I had been to in a long time… then, 3 months later, we saw Frampton’s Guitar Circus at the Greek Theater in Los Angeles, CA. Needless to say, it was a good concert year!
This is Awesome. Thank U so Much for posting this. What a Beautiful Time. I was 12 years old when I saw Frampton at MSG in Aug 77. I Never Forgot that. I snuck into the front and took some nice pictures with my pocket camera. I still have em!!
Never saw him back in the day, but I did get to meet him when he did the Lynyrd Skynyrd tribute show at the Fox in Atlanta in 2014. Sat in the green room as he was clipping his fingernails next to me, got him to autograph my "Frampton Comes Alive" CD.
Thank you so much for posting this! I was at the 7/2/77 concert in Oakland, which is posted on TH-cam, but this one is better. Kind of don't think it is a fair comparison though because in Oakland they had to share the stage with 3 other bands that day plus it was outdoors and this was indoors. There are some fantastic reaction videos of Peter and the boys out there. It is always fun to watch how blown away the younger generation are when they first hear these guys!
That boom at the beginning...He laughs and acts like he got shot. That was ME! Made a home made bomb,m80-ish maybe a little bigger. We let it off on the floor all the way in the back.I found this video. And when I herd the boom I jumped up yelling that's me!! ...lol.I saw him again up in lake Chelan couple years back before he passed.Awesome dude. Thanks for a life time of music.
Thanks for posting this. I never had the chance to see Peter Frampton, but loved his music. Was hoping to see him in his farewell Tour, but then COVID happened. Grrrr. Who knows, hopefully he will still be well enough in 2022 to perform a limited schedule. I just hope it includes a stop in Denver Colorado. Would pay just about any amount to see him. I hope your doing well Peter. :)
What a show!!! Frampton, Zeppelin and a few others had the same gift!!! They loved playing their music and sharing their gift with all of us!!! Just beautiful!!!
OOOOOHH glad I searched for this... what a nice little find!! Frampton was my first concert ever, I was 8 and my dad made my older brother take me, I'll never forget that concert!! Thanks for posting this!!
I dedicated this song to my beautiful wife Cristy this is Jess her husband love you before now n forever until God or Jesus coke to get me thank you for posting n may God bless you all or all of us all stop for a second n thank God for giving us planet earth n giving us life
Wow! Thank you so much Hendrix.JHE Classic Rock for sharing such a special concert. I have not seen him live so this is so special to me. Please dont ever take it down because I will watch it again. I have had two deaths close to me in the last 12 months and PF's music has been such an escape for me and so soothing.
@2v_5r yeah, I think I saw an ad for a tshirt that says "I may be old, but at least I saw all the good bands" LOL...don't get me wrong, there are still great bands out there (Rival Sons comes to mind, and there are many more), but I'm definitely glad I got to see those concerts back in the day!
I remember this night; I was obligated to babysit my sister's little girl/my niece while she went to this show. Same exactly sorry with the '77 Led Zeppelin show - same sister/same niece. However, in Sept. '77 I did see Rick Derringer (w/ Danny Johnston on guitar, Kenny Aaronson on bass, and Vinnie Appice on drums). And Jeff Beck & Jan Hammer w/ Tony Smith on drums and Fernando Saunders on bass - these bands were opening this leg of Aerosmith's "Rocks" tour. The really funny thing is that right this moment I'm walking about two blocks from where the Kingdome used to sit.
I REMEMBER MY AUNT AND HER FRIENDS COMING TO OUR HOUSE DAY BEFORE THIS SHOW THEN THEY WENT .I REMEMBER OUR HOUSE SMELLING WEIRD..MARY JANE CAME WITH THEM LOL
Some of these 70's Frampton live performances on TH-cam were okay, but far from the perfection we can hear on FCA. According to Peter, there was very little post production tinkering in the studio and very few overdubs. But that's really hard to believe when you consider the flawless nature of that iconic album. The guitar solos are unbelievable and the band performs so perfectly that it's simply perplexing. Either those Winterland performances were a one in a million shot, or post production techniques were used more extensively than is being let on.
NO!!.. NO...no!!. The band WAS that good. There are a few fixes on things . The mic failed briefly on the first song. They replaced the vocals on one line. That's about it. The band was that good.
To get the whole album several live shows were used. In his memoir PF said the acoustic numbers were recorded at the Marin County Civic Center a few days before Winterland. After Winterland and a half dozen more shows they got a great version of Show Me the Way in Commack, Long Island and a version of Baby, I Love Your Way was recorded at the college in Plattsburgh, NY.
Thanks much. I try to remaster the vids if they are dark, or there are video anomalies around the edges of the screen to try and make the experience a bit better.
I was there as an 18 yr old Soldier stationed at Ft Lewis. Meet a girl name Denise from Everett Washington turned at the old drive in movie. The concert was great. I still have the ticket! Wonder if she does?

Wow!!! That's awesome!!! Sucks about the smoke bomb! You saw a classic concert!!
70s was best classic rock music peaceful time bring back this era I believe 🙏 Jesus is coming 🙏
Frampton, at the peak of his powers, feeling the love and killing it, 70's style. It was a glorious time.

!!!!!
What a sweet and likeable artist. Super talented yet engaging the audience in such a playful way.
This was my first concert, crazy.. thanks for posting
I saw this tour at Madison square garden. Phenomenal! Frampton is a great songwriter.
I'll tune it myself, but thank you!
Absolutely love this. I was 9 when this tour happened and I remember asking my Dad if he would take me to see the concert when the commercial came on TV - NOPE!!😂😂😂. Oh well guess this will have to do👍👍👍👍!!!
Great Gig and memories. This was my first show ever back in 1976 in Montreal.
just love his guitar playing! ...and best Jumpin Jack version ever….
i would give anything to have been my age in 1977 and go see him
I was turned on to this album when I was 7 by my older cousin and loved Rock & Roll ever since.
Saw Frampton in 77 in Oakland... Just looking at this 59 Les Paul so many years later and that he got it back after all that time.
This is Awesome. Thank U so Much for posting this. What a Beautiful Time. I was 12 years old when I saw Frampton at MSG in Aug 77. I Never Forgot that. I snuck into the front and took some nice pictures with my pocket camera. I still have em!!
Extraordinary fantastic frampton
Never saw him back in the day, but I did get to meet him when he did the Lynyrd Skynyrd tribute show at the Fox in Atlanta in 2014. Sat in the green room as he was clipping his fingernails next to me, got him to autograph my "Frampton Comes Alive" CD.
That's kinda weird! The first thing that came to mind was did you get any of the clippings. Then realized this was aa weird as your post 🤣 🤣
Before who passed. Bob Mayo RIP John Siomos RIP
Touring right now 2023 Never Say Never Tour
A career that rose fast and then nosedived just as fast like no other before or after, it sunk like a stone in a year.
What a show!!! Frampton, Zeppelin and a few others had the same gift!!! They loved playing their music and sharing their gift with all of us!!! Just beautiful!!!
Hi from Australia! Thank you so much for uploading this concert. I am a huge fan of Peter. Susan

Fantastic! I was 14 in 1977. A young guitarist very influenced by Frampton Comes Alive! Thanks for the upload. 👍
Awesome ! I have always wanted to see this full concert video!! Thank you for sharing ☺
Sorry I took so long! I only recently started getting into uploading more. So high time Mr. Frampton got the full concert treatment!

I never got to see the Seatle concert. I saw Peter Frampton at the Wembly Marina, London. I was blown away by it.
God this is amazing thank you
Wow! Thank you so much Hendrix.JHE Classic Rock for sharing such a special concert. I have not seen him live so this is so special to me. Please dont ever take it down because I will watch it again. I have had two deaths close to me in the last 12 months and PF's music has been such an escape for me and so soothing.
❤️❤️
The beautiful thing about this is 1977... freedom, no big media controlling our lives.
Ele o Peter Frampton é simplesmente maravilhoso.
Good live concert by Mr : Peter Frampton. Gracias :)
Glad to witness a show from Frampton at Amsterdam's Jaap Eden Hal 1976. Hooked for life. Thanks for this upload.
Thank you i always wanted to see Frampton
I missed this one but remember it happening it was my senior HS year one of my good friends went and now I get to enjoy it.
i was too young to know what I missed. My neighbor produced this album.
This was only three weeks before Zeppelin played the Kingdom on their last US tour.
I was at both shows...still have my ticket stubs from both!
Thank You! How I wished I could see him as a kid, was too young to go. This fulfills a childhood wish. Thanks again :)
Great quality. Thanks for posting. We had just got out of high school and Frampton was everywhere that summer.
Before there was Covid -19 there was Frampton....
I was in 8th grade caught this tour in Ft Worth Tx Convention Ctr ..Peter one Greatest guitarist!!!!
Bob Mayo at 1:06:38 just does it for me. Just iconic and one of the all time greats. What a lineup.
Went to see Frampton perform the album at Kings Hall Belle Vue Manchester in October 1976 Sat/stood 3 rows from the front!!
Obrigada pelo POST, sensacional!!!!♥️🇧🇷👏👏👏👏
Thank you for this!
Great talent ĵustojut ARMY ❤
Never seen this before. Gonna watch it now.
Brilliant. Thanks Pete.
I was there! Good job on this!
Wow! This is great! He was such a natural.
Great job, thanks!
I was there.
William Schlegel Home Peter Frampton and I Werre Pen Pals
I REMEMBER MY AUNT AND HER FRIENDS COMING TO OUR HOUSE DAY BEFORE THIS SHOW THEN THEY WENT .I REMEMBER OUR HOUSE SMELLING WEIRD..MARY JANE CAME WITH THEM LOL
Master Piece! Thank you.
Shame they didn't film any of the 1975 winterland concerts
To get the whole album several live shows were used. In his memoir PF said the acoustic numbers were recorded at the Marin County Civic Center a few days before Winterland. After Winterland and a half dozen more shows they got a great version of Show Me the Way in Commack, Long Island and a version of Baby, I Love Your Way was recorded at the college in Plattsburgh, NY.
His place in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is long overdue.
U cleaned this up quite well!
Thanks much. I try to remaster the vids if they are dark, or there are video anomalies around the edges of the screen to try and make the experience a bit better.
shared on FB!!
Why thank you!
Wow! I've never seen this!
Great concert I was there had my tans am 19704 speed 😮
❤ maravilhoso
I was there as an 18 yr old Soldier stationed at Ft Lewis. Meet a girl name Denise from Everett Washington turned at the old drive in movie. The concert was great. I still have the ticket! Wonder if she does?
Thank you so much!
