I would lay in bed at night in 1976 and listen to this album. I memorized every hiss, every pop every skip and when I listen to it today I have to hold back a lot of emotion. It takes me back to the 14 year old version of me mesmerized with the sound and emotion that rock and roll could bring. Thank you Peter Frampton for the gift you've given us all. I wonder if he will ever realize what he and this album meant to so many millions of us. Thank you for transporting me back 45 years and just for a few seconds letting me remember what it was like to be 14 again.
I saw Frampton on June 13th Friday night Winterland San Francisco where they taped some songs for the incredible Frampton Comes Alive Album. I also saw him later that summer of 75 on A Day On The Green In Oakland with Dave Mason, Robin Trower, Fleetwood Mac and Gary Dream Weaver Wright. Bill Graham concerts. Wow. Then I saw him in 2005 at Konocti Harbor Clear Lake. To this day he is still performing and his voice sounds the same. Incredible

Used to listen to this in 1976 on Galveston bay la porte Tx I would get off work at11:00 pm & go to the beach & watch the fires on the beach & the ships coming in looking like ghost ships passing Morgan's Point. The FM station would be playing this song. It was a very good life. I finally got to see Peter in 2006 ,30 years later when he played this song I lost it, my wife knew I was a big fan, she asked me if I was alright & I said yes I am,& I hugged her close& cried.
Whenever the world becomes too awful on the outside, I like to return to a magical time where it all began. I've been a die-hard Frampton addict from the start. Makes me smile through fun memories for a few (or 7+) minutes. Thank you for sharing.
Great year for me as well but 74 was good too. Bowie diamond dogs tour was that year. Also I think the version here was not 76 sounds a year or so earlier what with the harmonies on the chorus. Sounds closer to the studio version than the Frampton Comes Alive version

Wish I never got rid of my album collection. Thought with CD's albums were obsolete. Had every Frampton album there was up to I'm In You. I don't I knew a kid in 1976 that didn't have Frampton Comes Alive.

Still my all time Favorite album. I'm 49 , I remember seeing him in Sgt Pepper's movie and that's when I became a fan. Years later I discovered the live Album. I was 15 or 16. Today I learned to play the talk box and closing in on the entire song DO you feel like we do. Thank you Pete for everything and inspiring me to play harder. Amazing tonality, feeling and phrasing. Frampton Comes Alive Version of this is my favorite and it’s good to see the improvising on every version. He would never play the same way twice, he was always improvising.

While i have breakfast i listening '' Baby i love your way'' , when i have lunch i listening '' Do you feel like i do'' , during my dinner i listening ''i 'm in you '', and to go bed whith this sweet song "' LINES ON MY FACE' '' I love you Peter , You have the same face when you was young, and the same soul. Listening and seeing you I feel like the heaven come down to the earth.
I'm sure Frampton has other albums that need to be heard, but a few weeks ago I went to that special place again, track one to end. Frampton come alive recording. Just amazing in the moment playing and exemplary guitar talent. I recommend listening in that order if you haven't.

Saw PF Louisville 77 15yrld In summer of 76, I camped out with a few buddies and around midnight we snuck over to meet some girls having a “slumber party” while parents away. One of the girls had Framptom Comes Alive Album and was my first time hearing;; like all four sides seventeen times. Then retreated back before dawn to friends backyard. The days that the lines on my face dont regret. Edit oh, and after the concert I got a perm; cus you know, I wanted to look something like Peter Framptom or that Leif Garret dude. THAT I kinda regretted.
Saw him when I was 17 iat MSG in the summer of 77 on the I'm In You tour. He was so awesome and is still soooooo underrated and underappreciated as a guitar player.

Of course as a listener in 1975-76 as a teen i i didn't know what a mode was . I knew what a scale was from singing in a secular chorus in elementary school and in middle school. I didn't find out what a mode was for another 25 years later when i started playing guitar. Do you play?
I was too young to really appreciate Framtpton in the 70's. For some reason I like him more and more as the years progress. He's a tasty player. I really enjoy the camera/video effect going on as well. Nicely done.

He performed last night to a packed house (casino arena in Ct) and I'm still totally flipped out from what I heard.. He's got 3 great guitarists/one a keyboard player too, and the one of the best drummers you''ll ever hear anywhere. Just had to share, See Him if ya can.
I've seen him perform many times throughout the years, I'm always amused by the surprised reaction some people have upon learning how incredibly good he is and the vast array of material he's written over decades that never gets old! I miss my live concerts and hate all parts of the pandemic/Covid

He performed last night to a packed house (casino arena in Ct) and I'm still totally flipped out from what I heard.. He's got 3 great guitarists/one a keyboard player too, and the one of the best drummers you''ll ever hear anywhere. Just had to share, See Him if ya can.
I've seen him perform many times throughout the years, I'm always amused by the surprised reaction some people have upon learning how incredibly good he is and the vast array of material he's written over decades that never gets old! I miss my live concerts and hate all parts of the pandemic/Covid
