Actually started watching your videos after we got back from Iceland because we're already planning our next trip! Thank you for all the great info & can't wait for more! Thank you Jan!
Hi Jan, useful video and I'm enjoying the channel and thanks for your hard work. I am thinking of taking my car to Iceland in the summer to drive the ring road, I'm aware parts of the road have some gravel do you think I'm okay with normal tyres or all season tyres a must? Thanks again
thank you! there's no gravel parts at ring road anymore. You will encounter gravel roads if you go off the ring road to do some detours to some places of interest, but that should generally be short stretches and nothing too rough...all the regular 2wd's from rental companies for example run summer tires so you will be fine :)
@@janiniceland that's very much appreciated, you've saved me a fortune. Keep up the good work and thanks very much for getting back to me, best of luck with the channel, it's an invaluable resource!!!
Hi Jan, thanks for this video of Driving Mistakes in Iceland. Even though some are excessive, I think it helps people be accountable and to be respectful to the region while there. A few bad tourists probably don't care and make it difficult for the good and honest tourists. I don't know if they have Speed Cameras there like they have on the Audubon in Europe? The speed limits vary a lot so you always have to pay attention to the posted signs. Really enjoyed your drone footage of the Tunnel with the fresh Snow cover. Snow is beautiful as long as you don't have to travel far.
Jan, the policeman let you off the fine because you're such a sympathetic guy. Some people argue with the police, which just gets them into trouble, it's the wrong thing to do.
Díky moc za skvělé informace! ✨S mnoha pozdravy ze Švýcarska! 🙋🏻♂😀

@@GryphonRB thank you so much, I’m glad it’s helpful :) happy you enjoyed your trip, what was your favourite place?
@@janiniceland Thank you! I loved the drive from Reykjavik to Akureyri on route 1. We also hiked with huskies in Akureyri (dream come true)
@@GryphonRB amazing! I still haven't been there, but it's on my list, I heard a lot of great things about this place!
