I'm a little disappointed about the discussion segment of the video. The inherited memories concept perfectly ties up with what Tanjiro said to Kotetsu about connecting lives. It's something that keeps humans alive even after they're dead (memories of them, their knowledge, and all the things that they left behind). Tanjiro said that the lives they connected will bring down Muzan (and Kotetsu is part of it too). Basically, it's true eternity (humanity) vs fake eternity (demons/Muzan). The doll, earrings and the sun breathing are also a part of it and they were conveying it to the viewers even in this season's 1st episode with Muzan speech about change. Those are the main themes that were built since 1st season and they are like "mindless protagonist speech". Also, they seemed to miss that Muichiro is a descendent of the sun breather.
@@thestarkster9940 I do watch them and they are great! Theirs and Teeaboo's demon slayer discussions are the best on youtube from what I've seen. Teeaboo recently made +1h discussion for the 1st episode of RLD and it was so insightful that the time flew by quickly for me.
@@Yato52 Agreed. Also Jacob dismissing Kotetsu as insignificant because he's a new character who replaces our usual squad kind of rubs me the wrong way. Granted, his character arc progression is rather quick, but he's 10 and impressionable so it's not too hard to get why someone like Tanjiro could influence him in such a short time. I also think Tanjiro indulges him because he reminds him of his deceased younger siblings, and it's so sweet yet sad.
The whole reaction portion was quite disappointing to say the least. I've said this in the past, but they just love to miss on the most obvious stuff. Same deal with how they keep treating Upper One and the person in Tanjiro's dream as the same person, even when they OBVIOUSLY had different voices.

I think the part that disappoints me the most was all the half-hour, super in-depth discussions they had during the first season, and the fact that they seem to be getting more and more annoyed with the story as the seasons progress despite... it not getting any worse, in fact I'd argue it's just gotten better. I think they're just disappointed because their theories didn't all pan out and the show didn't go quite in the way they wanted, and also don't feel like looking into any of the deeper themes of the show because they've written it off as "generic but okay shonen with the good animation" despite it genuinely having a lot of merit with its own characters and plot. Though, that's a problem with this channel in general, the discussions have been getting shorter and shorter all the time. Remember how the Kaguya videos all had 30+ minute discussions, then the season 3 stuff was almost all under 20? Or how the Jojo's discussions were 30-40 minutes in Part 3 and 4, and yet in part 6 they were all super short? Hell, the discussion for the FINAL EPISODE was shorter than every single discussion from part 5, and they spent half the time talking about part 7. It's honestly depressing, it feels like this channel's gone downhill. I really hope someone passes these kinds of issues along to them.
Another point about the doll, it's standing out in broad daylight. That's instant death for all demons. As far as we know that rule even applies to Muzan, so it definitely applies to Rank 1.

"Shonen protagonist won't shut up"-part was an obvious joke there. Agree with you about them missing the info about Tokito though, but, I believe, this detail will probably be repeated not once or twice if it its really important (didn't read the manga so can't say for sure). It's a moment when the important knowledge is dropped so casualy that it's just too easy to miss especially when you're concentrated too much on the image (as many reactors are)
Ahh I see that they are basically doing the same thing that they did with Slime. Not Paying attention to what is being said at all to the point it's obvious they don't like the show as much as when they started it.
Yeah. They've been doing that a fair amount more often recently. I feel like they got that "I'm an expert at watching shows and therefore I know better than the writers" mentality that some critics get. It is only ocasional though, hopefully it is just a phase.

That's a good point, the contrast between Rengoku and the Mist Hashira Also, Rengoku's breathing style is the closest to Sun Breathing, while the Mist Hashira is the descendant of a Sun Breather Rengoku will sacrifice his life to ensure every single person survives, while the Mist Hashira said "I'm a Hashira, my time and what I do is so much more important than you"
I always wonder why reaction channels keep reacting to shows they clearly don't have much interest in. if you're watching a series hoping by the 3rd or 4th seasons its finally gonna get good, then drop it because at that point the tone of the story has been set already. that's just my opinion though, because it's not fun to watch 2 people TRY to enjoy a show rather then enjoying a show without trying

You know, complaining about things you don't like is fine, but complaining about things you missed is just so... entitled? I don't really know the word. You guys were one of the first reaction channels I started watching and are still perhaps my favourite, but more and more your reactions are getting a condescending feel to them, like you believe yourselves above the quality of what you are watching. Nowadays I can only really fully enjoy it when you are watching "smart" shows, everything else is just frustrating with how much you underestimate shows, don't pay attention and then complain about things you should already know about. You are not being too harsh because you are not the only one who noticed this. There is 2 threads on the top of the comment section discussing this exact same thing. For me it seems like they just don't like shonen anime anymore but they keep reacting to shonen because majority of mainstream anime are shonen but because of this their reaction quality drops because they are bored and all they do is goof around instead of trying to delve deeper into the animes themes. They enjoy the great music and the amazing animation of shonen but they don't enjoy the shonen formula which leads to them getting bored and frustrated. Honestly I think anime like Heavenly Delusion is way more their cup of tea but anime like that are usually really underrated so they don't react to those because it doesn't bring views.

Tanjirou's speech about passing things on just got dismissed as generic shonen MC 101 when Kimetsu uses it way better than almost everything else out there. Always sucks to see that just because they were told Kimetsu is "the next big shonen" they came in with all these preconceptions. Just goes to show that your mindset really affects how much you can get out of a work.

She is the great Tsundere Moe voice actor, "Queen of Tsundere". Many anime fans catch a disease from Kugimiya Rie's cute and charming voice. (Kugimiya disease) Scientific name : Kugimiya Virus Hypersensitive Cerebral Corticalitis. ("Kugimiya disease" is a strange disease that makes strange sounds like "kugyuuuuuuuuuu" is very difficult to treat.) lol. This is a her voicing works of part. Gintama (Kagura) Hagane no renkin jyutsu shi (Alphonse Elric) Jujutsu Kaisen (Momo Nishimiya) Toradora! (Aisaka Taiga) Hayate no Gotoku! (Nagi Sanzenin) Fruit basket (Kagura Souma) FAIRY TAIL (Happy) etc. Also She is a singer and a stage performer not only voice actor.
I don't find the inherited memories thing to be too contrived, they link that up with the "seeing your life flash before your eyes" thing during the fight against Rui and his "family", and they've also brought it up before -- also linking it with Muzan's inheritable fear of the Hanafuda-earring-wearing-swordsman (who shall remain unnamed for the purposes of no spoilers), in which every demon created by Muzan inherits this irrational (at least to them, having never met the man) fear of said swordsman. I think in most other stories it would come off as an ex-machina, and I can totally see the hesitance to take that concept and run with it because of how cliché it is, but it follows the logic of the show, so I'm fine with it. Poor Tanjiro can't seem to find a teacher who isn't some kind of insane drill sergeant LOL. And not to rag on this too much, but I find the concept that the reason Hantengu is so mad at Tanjiro all the time is entirely because he knows he'll get bullied to all hell by his neighbours and colleagues, it adds a whole other layer of comedy to the show. I honestly think this OP might be my favourite piece of music from the show, except perhaps Tanjiro's theme, though probably just because of my soft spots for MWAM and MIlet, (both had music featured in Vinland Saga, actually).
The closest thing to that mechanical doll would be Karakuri puppets. They were made popular in the edo period (after sengoku period) and could do things like serving tea, shooting arrows, and doing calligraphy.
It's pretty crazy how insecure some of the fans of this show are. Complaining that people aren't reacting hard enough to an episode, and not instantly connecting dots that manga readers had years to connect. People can enjoy and watch a show in any fashion they want to. Jesus, just watch the show on your own.

I wouldn't call it weak but there was a lot of things to pick up on. That Yoriichi was from 300 years ago and was so good at what he does that the doll needed 6 arms to try to replicate his style, that Tanjiro inherited memories from Sumiyoshi not Yoriichi, that Tokito is a descendant of sun breathing but uses mist breathing.

They clearly like demon slayer, they also react to a lot of shows and have a life outside of watching anime and stuff, so some details can just slip from the mind. They being criticized for dismissing core themes of the show and not paying attention to the dialogues while being arrogant about it. This channel is not a cult where people can't criticize your guru youtubers. Most of the criticism comes from people who like them and their content (patreons and long-time fans) and do not wish to see them become another generic and uninspired reaction channel like many on youtube.

2. Demon Slayer has been getting worse and worse over time, not better. This arc in peticular is my least favorite.

The closest thing to that mechanical doll would be Karakuri puppets. They were made popular in the edo period (after sengoku period) and could do things like serving tea, shooting arrows, and doing calligraphy.

It's pretty crazy how insecure some of the fans of this show are. Complaining that people aren't reacting hard enough to an episode, and not instantly connecting dots that manga readers had years to connect. People can enjoy and watch a show in any fashion they want to. Jesus, just watch the show on your own.

This episode was pretty weak so can't really blame them for their discussion
I wouldn't call it weak but there was a lot of things to pick up on. That Yoriichi was from 300 years ago and was so good at what he does that the doll needed 6 arms to try to replicate his style, that Tanjiro inherited memories from Sumiyoshi not Yoriichi, that Tokito is a descendant of sun breathing but uses mist breathing.

How was it confusing? Both the dialogue and the visuals made it clear. The only way you won't understand it is if you don't pay attention at all because you don't care about the story and only want fights.

God these comments are annoying as hell 😂 let these guys enjoy this show how they want to enjoy it. Some people don’t worship and pay attention to every single detail and line with analysis in mind. People complain about toxic fans who love to cry and bitch when a reactor says something wrong or missed a detail, and tbh I see a lot of those annoying ass fans. They clearly like demon slayer, they also react to a lot of shows and have a life outside of watching anime and stuff, so some details can just slip from the mind. Hopefully I don’t get some braindead idiot replying and saying they shouldn’t react if they don’t wanna pay attention because that is weird as hell. Let people react how they want and if you don’t like it, you do know you can leave right?
They being criticized for dismissing core themes of the show and not paying attention to the dialogues while being arrogant about it.
This channel is not a cult where people can't criticize your guru youtubers. Most of the criticism comes from people who like them and their content (patreons and long-time fans) and do not wish to see them become another generic and uninspired reaction channel like many on youtube.

Some of the comments are just insulting and tbh if I had fans of a series berate me with annoying ass comments, I’d stop paying attention too. There’s a difference between criticism and insulting someone and some of these comments do not know the difference.
