  • Deep in the rugged country of Northern Australia, lies Kakadu National Park. 20,000 square kilometres of beautiful ancient wilderness dominated by rock escarpments, massive wetlands, and inhabited by aboriginals for over 40 centuries.
    Outback Rangers follows the armed rangers who protect Kakadu. Travelling by airboats, quad bikes, and choppers, this fearless group tackles everything from emergency rescues and wildlife poachers, to feral animals. It’s a high-risk job that involves a balancing act of preservation and control across an unforgiving land.
    With breath-taking cinematography and colourful characters, Outback Rangers takes viewers on a wonderful trip to one of the most remote and beautiful places on Earth.

    I have a brand new browning A5, shoots 3 1/2 inch shells and this Aboriginal native is knocking geese out of the sky better than me with a 100 year old double barrel. Goes to show, it’s not always the tool but the hunter behind it.

      Try living in Phoenix or Tucson Arizona we have a monsoon to but just imagine 120°with a high dew point in high humidity. It's one thing to fry an egg outside in the summertime on the hood of your vehicle and yeah that includes even if it's white.
      But it's another thing to put a frozen turkey inside a vehicle in the backseat or the front seat of that same vehicle when you go into work and come out and have it ready to go home and eat.

    I lived in Darwin,, NT for 5 years in the 90's.... The months of Oct-Dec are called "suicide" season, as because of the "build up" to the Wet Season, the weather conditions are horrendous. Really high temperatures, horrendous humidity,, and big thunderstorms. Many people commit suicide over those months traditionally. It is extremity oppressive. Darwin and the NT are amazing places, but the weather - (particularly Summer ) is really tough. It rains almost everyday - and I mean rain like cats and dogs for maybe 20 mins, and severe thunderstorms, then it clears and clear blue skies and 40+c, with 100% humidity. Winter is the best but still hot during the day, but no rain, and low humidity. But Summer is absolute hell.....

    I live in S Fl, we have only a few crocodiles here in the Everglades mostly and they are smaller, but alligators, that’s another story and people do get attacked and killed here!!, mostly in communities that surround lakes. Small animals are their favorite prey when they venture next to lakes. An older woman was recently attacked and killed while trying to protect her pet dog 😞. The alligators get to be huge, 1500 lbs and more. They wander into neighborhoods!! You always see them in canals and lakes, watching you and sizing you up as their next meal. They are also spotted in other southern states. I was on a high level crossing in southern Alabama and saw this huge 14’-16’ foot alligator swimming up a small creek in the swamp below. Up to that point I didn’t know they ventured that far north as it gets down to freezing temps there.

    • @ryanbrooks4020
      @ryanbrooks4020 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      I hunt gators seasonally for a reason and a 12 to 13 foot alligator on average weighs about 1000 lbs nowhere close to 1500 and larger and there have been only 26 deaths in 75 years in Florida by alligators which is only one every 3 years. There are more drowning deaths from getting in the water and yes a 84 year old woman was attacked and killed trying to save her dog but the video clearly shows the Alligator was after the dog and not her. There's a big difference between the ferocity of a salt water crocodile and an American Alligator. I've hunter both and am a marine biologist by trade. Also the American Crocodile in Florida can grow larger than an Alligator so again your facts were wrong. Do a little research before misleading people with your false narrative. That's what's wrong with the world today people talk about things and give information like it's facts with no real knowledge of what they are talking about.

      @Hobson Beeman I'm a marine biologist and hunt them every year what I'm giving you is facts. You can't and won't ever be able to show me a 1500 lb alligator. The largest in captivity is now in Texas at Gator country and is close to 14 ft. His name is Big Tex and only weighs 1000 lbs. His fed regularly and doesn't have to hunt for food. This isn't a debate you don't hunt or study these animals and have 0 proof of what you say. It can't even be proved on Google buddy. Have a nice night.

    • @hobsonbeeman7529
      @hobsonbeeman7529 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@ryanbrooks4020 True, it isn’t a debate, just a discussion. While 1500 lbs may be a stretch, they certainly look to weight that much based on some I have seen while fishing along lakes and canals. One of the heaviest ever recorded is a 13ft 3in alligator in Arkansas that weighed in at 1,380 pounds, confirmed! Being a marine biologist may make you knowledgeable about certain marine life, but there are circumstances that preclude that knowledge when it comes to wildlife as different species thrive better in environments conducive to their growth. Unless you work for FWC in the protected species conservation programs, what you are telling me is simply your limited experience, which in my book carries little credence even though you hunt them. I hunt deer and simply because I hunt for years doesn’t make me an expert on deer. Also there have been 39 confirmed deaths from alligator attacks in the southern United States since the late 1950s. Best wishes to ya!

    • @ryanbrooks4020
      @ryanbrooks4020 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @Hobson Beeman wrong again buddy. Heaviest Alligator ever recorded was 1011.9 lbs it is the world record. Easy to Google and look up. It was killed in Alabama and the longest was 14' 9" also killed in Alabama in 2014 it is the current world record which I know well because I would like to break it at some point and my degree is in Marine Biology buddy and I work as a Game Warden in which is loaded with a large alligator population so I deal with them on a consistent basis lol.
