Díky! I remember the beginning 10 years ago. Even back then they were great, several minute videos. Nowadays, they're like BBC documentaries. I believe Phil will become a famous documentary maker, like Sir David Attenborough.
Thank you. We need reminding of what a beautiful natural world we exist in, and to make sure that all the amazing animals/mammals/birds that we share this planet with are cared for and that their habitat is maintained for the benefit of all. Ecosystems are essential to all soul's wellbeing. So good to see areas of Queensland that most of us haven't visited. Blessings to you for such a great documentary. From Queensland with gratitude and love.
Thank you for watching, so happy to hear you found our documentary informative. We are very blessed to have so many wonderful species of wildlife in this country and we need to protect the ones that remain. Thanks so much for your kindness, stay safe, cheers Phil
We're a dot in the universe... There's so much to see and explore yet we're obessed with the smallest trivial things. So locked in our small habits, routines, labour because we know no better... I feel so jealous of people who travel in the most remote places. It takes bravery and yes money but most of all bravery to let the plan start and let go of this mockery of a life we created for ourselves. Australia you're so immensely spiritual and beautiful...

As a QLD’ER I concur, Queensland is very special. Even though I live Over Seas, my heart is shared very much with piece of the earth. I have traveled much of it and the memories are fond and contented, Heaven is a place on Earth.
Magnifique !
Love it! I spent two weeks photographing wildlife in Queensland. I spent days and days looking for cassowary and platypus, but I found both! I spent two days with the koalas on Magnetic Island and went up to the Daintree where I saw some crocs. It wasn’t easy but I was successful! I even lucked into a tree kangaroo. What a fantastic film!
Thanks for watching Mike, yes plenty of wildlife up in FNQ. If you are patient you can be rewarded, sounds like you had a wonderful trip. You ran into pretty much all the same wildlife we did. Cheers Phil
wow a tree kangaroo, I love learning new things, our world has so much diversity in life, I hope we never learn everything, because that is the driving force in progress, always reach for more knowledge, search and be happy, learning is the best high
Thanks for watching Steve, great to hear you have found our content informative and engaging, that's what we are trying to achieve. Every one of these docos I make I learn so much too and can only agree with you that learning about natural history is the best. Stay safe mate, cheers Phil
I love watching films like this on our planets wildlife and environmant, but it seams that in every film i watch within minutes of starting the destructive hand of "humans" is mentioned and how animals are becoming extinct i shudder to think what the future holds for all life?
Thanks for watching Richard, I understand where you are coming from. As a documentary / filmmaker, I've pondered over getting the tone right for these films. Like you, I really enjoy watching nature documentaries, and i want to get lost in the fascination and wonders of the natural world. That's really what I'm trying to do here, I want people to care about the natural world. I'm trying not to be too heavy-handed about things, but I feel I would be doing these wonderful creatures a huge dis-service if I didn't include some facts about their plight. Take care mate, thanks watching and taking the time to leave some feedback. Cheers Phil
@@IntotheWildFilmsI agree with Richard, and I also think you've managed a good balance. Thank you for caring enough to make these films and for sharing your love of the many wondrous inhabitants of our beautiful planet home.😊

Having lived in Townsville for 15 years and explored a lot of North Queensland, we really enjoyed watching this documentary 👏 Thanks, look forward to watching more 👍
*I am really praised for watching those unbelievably amazing places and beautifully stunning views of natural habitats and landscapes. I can't imagine how difficult is to take care of our planet after being so polluted. Many species are endangered of extinction and the loss of woods and fertile soils are becoming increasingly difficult for us to remain calm without doing anything or without concerning about the oxigen we need to breath naturally or eating unhealthy foods. Thanks for this amazing video, showing us how beautiful natural life is.*
Thanks Chris, we moved to NSW late last year so its a bit of a love letter to my home for 30 years. I'll be back for more filming though. Keep up the great work over at your channel, stay safe Cheers Phil xx

What an amazing documentary Phil, I love the koalas and am amazed at how you get so close in to the animals without them running away. keep up this awesome work and can't wait for the next one.
Hi Manda, so lovely to hear from you again, hope you and the family are well. Glad you enjoyed this one too. Yes the Koalas are so cute aren't they? I have a 600mm lens these days which allows me to get some of those shots without getting too close. The reality is there is a heap of luck and just many, many hours searching and sitting in the heat and humidity waiting to get the perfect shot. There is nothing like the thrill of seeing these beautiful creatures living their lives in the wild though. We filmed that nesting Turtle on Chinaman's beach up at Agnes Waters at 1am after spending hours walking along the beach looking for thier tracks, that night was so cool.
@@IntotheWildFilms wow that would have been a great bucket list ✅ to be able to witness that. Keep up the great work hopefully you might get down to vic and do one down here lol
With the initial tones of the soundtrack that resonates with the spirit, our eyes begin to feast on the sometimes incomprehensible, sometimes astonishing. Almost immediately, the familiar voice of Steve Chambers joins the audio/visual chorus and the adventure begins. We are transported into the depths of a world where neon coloured fish dance with green sea turtles and so begins yet another masterpiece from the incomparable Phil Selmes. This is an emotionally stirring work, brining highs and lows of fear and respect for the prehistoric nature of Australia in its Crocodiles and Cassowaries. Soon, though, the patriotic heart beats for the beloved Koalas, Bilbies and the like, showing that within the fauna, what is conceptually a direct reflection of the flora and landscapes, this alien world cannot be confined or contained to a single idea. Extreme diversity, the energetic nature of life itself, is expressed beautifully within this awesome 4K documentary. From precipice to sub-terrestrial caves, from Black Mountain to the Simpson Desert, once more my imagination is engaged and I am left, in the end, viscerally and vicariously satisfied. Thank you.

The cassowaries have beautiful necks and heads and they lay gorgeous green eggs.
Thanks for watching, yes they are are remarkable creatures, I'm so fortunate to have been able to film them in out in nature. I've only ever seen pictures of their green eggs, would be great to see a Cassowary nest in real life. Stay safe, cheers Phil
Have cassowaries possibly fallen prey to both crocodiles and pythons?

My mum's great uncle Jack Stuart was dubbed the king of Atherton Tablelands by the white man, who gave him a breastplate to signify that he was the Indigenous leader of that area
We're from the bottom in Gordonvale ( famous for the cane toad lol ) to Goldsborough Valley and up the mountains a bit
Her grandmother was his sister 😊
Also where the platypus was filmed looks like the back of one of my best mates ( sadly passed away ) mum's place, where you're guaranteed to see one, breakfast lunch and tea lol
Thanks for sharing great documentary ❤
Thanks for watching, I have relatives in Cairns just north of you. The Platypus sequence was shot up at Yungaburra. Thanks for sharing your story, stay safe, cheers Phil
@@IntotheWildFilms you're welcome anytime

I love Australia is beautiful country😊😊😊😊😊
Me too, thanks for watching, cheers Phil
It is interesting how many Australian creatures hop, little and big.
It is isn't it?, thanks for watching Marg, stay safe, cheers Phil
Wow, these Limestone Karsts look amazing! 😍😍
Adding this spot to my bucket list 📝
Also loving the Tony's soundtrack, one of my favourite compsers
Tony Anderson is a real talent isn't he? He's the first place i stop to look when i'm looking for background music. Chillagoe is the place where the limestone Karsts are, its such a unique and spectacular landscape. I made a separate video (non doco) on Chillagoe some years back if you are interested in having a look you can find it here: th-cam.com/video/kWr0GaTpCVc/w-d-xo.html
Anyway thanks for watching and taking the time to leave a comment. Cheers Phil
Absolutely stunning film! Such great footage of many super elusive animals, can tell a lot of time went into making this… was also so cool to see a lot of similar shots to the Queensland scenes in my film.
I hope to one day make films to this standard!
Thanks mate, you are very kind. I watched and very much enjoyed your Around Australia Documentary a couple of months back. A few familiar locations but also some I'm yet to visit. I'd be keen to stay in touch, I'm occasionally looking for archive footage and you do nice work. My email is iwfilms10@gmail.com Cheers Phil
