I think one small change would have 'fixed' gilded elites aside from the HP multiplier. If they made gilded elites return gold on kill it would actually make for a great elite quirk. That way the gold stealing mechanic is still in the game but it promoted interesting scenarios to engage with the mechanic rather than avoiding it altogether. I don't know if that's the way they plan to take it, but it'd be a great way of going about it imo
You could farm a lot of gold from then with 1 or 4 crowns then, and if you have the lunar that turns money into xp, then you would be able to farm them if you leave a mending alive near it
@@ying-kk5chyou can already do that with any mending + normal unit with crowns, this wouldn’t change much (the gold scaling is better by going to the next stage and just playing normally anyways until looping

They sadly aren't fixing it though, look at their proposed changes carefully. Gilded and Twisted elites are still overly punishing on Melee and Engineer, but since they are making the counter "dodgable" it is very likely it will hit even harder to compensate. AoE is often based on random proc chances and chains you can't control. Antler Shield is going from a very bad White Razor Wire to... a Goat Hoof with barrier. It is competing against Goat Hoof in the same tier for one of the worst stats to compete with, movement speed, as it is very easy to get enough or even too much. Mocha has attack speed going for it, Antler Shield has incredibly specific set up barrier. All the core issues are still there.
Hard disagree tbh. The new gilded and twisted abilities look very dodgeable for melee characters and what makes them especially bad for engineer? The fact that the turrets can't dodge? Because that applies to every other enemy attack in the game and the turrets are still op The fact that the dlc didn't add a speed item made runs feel way worse on average and it's great that they're adding one. The issue of getting too much speed is only really a loop issue, on normal runs you're much more likely to not get enough
On a technically, it SHOULD be 'is'...but I'll be damned if I can remember specifically why, because yes, Gearbox is a collective. English is such a fun language. @@ScoutGuy
Can’t wait for Seekers of the Storm to release! You're just currently playing the beta for it.
Fr yea 😂
Lol yea
At least it gave them a lot of feedback on what to change and how, I guess

Don’t they already return stolen gold? Because you get the gold an enemy has once you kill it

the lunar should turn to a random lunar when you reach max level :o thats what i feel it could need if anything, everything else is awsome :D

I think it's just artifact of honor, I love the walmart overloading worm lol
The actual overloading magma worm
WHAT IS THAT KNOCKBACK FIN DEBUFF THERE????? 3:01
Based on the icon and red circle effect my guess is that it makes the enemy take more damage, and then they could rename it to focused fin lol
@abra_escaped in that case, i hope they made the knockback thing a timed effect and not a chance, like the bands

So you're gonna complain about a new movement item, which was one of the biggest complaints of the DLC lacking? Yeah alright buddy

Is it not technically correct? The use of gearbox in the title refers to the collective group at Gearbox working on the update, thus the plural
