Just for your own safety, please remember to strap your ice axe upside down on your backpack (with the shaft upwards). If you slip and fall backwards, you don't want the pick or adze sticking into your skull of it's behind your head (like at 2:00 in). You can also cut a slot in a tennis ball to go over the tip of the spike at the end of the shaft. This is helpful to avoid piercing the rain cover on your backpack. 👍

@@ScottishMunroJourney I have picked up a niggling back injury James so I will be resting up for a few weeks. A pain but I think it's best. Old age eh! 🙄🙄. Plus I now have at least a 3 hour drive to my nearest new Munro so not ideal in these shorter days.. so rest up, eat food and plan next years walks...cheers. Paul

Gear question, what are the Revolution Race trousers you're wearing in some of your videos and what's your experience with them? I've been eyeballing hiking trousers from that company for a little while but I have no previous experience so I'd appreciate your insight. Cheers!
Thanks Kevin! My ones are the GP Pro, I really like them, great fitting and the material is pretty hard wearing. I'm on to my second pair now 😀 plenty of pockets too, which suits me as i'm usually carrying a few cameras/tripods 😂 Atb, James
Even in late summer it's baltic up there, lovely hill to climb. I saved a suicidal collie on that rock @ 3.58, I was taking a photo and the dog leapt at me like a long lost friend, I grabbed the doggy with both hands out of instinct like a four legged rugby ball and calmed him down, only then realising that I had my camera on a wrist strap, phew ! I wouldn't have minded had I forgotten the wrist strap, a dogs worth a thousand cameras.
Its a great hill, one that you will remember forever with that experience! Crazy, I’m always scared to take my dog up the Munros as shes not wise with the drops - thats why she has only done 20/134 with me 😂 great company though! Atb, James
