    hey, it seems that ur recipe is good and I would 100% like to try it but your instructions are very vague, u didn’t specify which stock, nor did u specify the measurements of the ingredients.

    I cooked this today and was really nice. However, I wouldn´t put any salt on it, the saltiness of the soy sauce is more than enough to bring taste to the pork

    Tried a version of this after seeing the video..Did the stock, chicken, with garlic..simmered..Then dried the pork belly pieces and into a sauce pan to fry in oil. Then doused with" bone sucking" marinade sauce..added a bit of the fat back into the sauce continued cooking. Then put it on rice...served with cauliflower that steamed in the original broth...thanks for the inspiration.

    This is extremely delicious!!! I have made it several times and also done boneless pork country style ribs this way. It's always super tasty. I love it with sticky rice.

    I just tried this recipe. I served with carrots glazed in maple syrup and served it with jasmine rice.
    My Asian wife flipped out and we both loved it.

      @@DanJayadev I didn’t measure. I just drizzled the Maple Syrup over the top of the carrots. I guess I added about 1-2 tbs to 250g of carrots.

    Made this tonight, used the leftover liquid from the braising to cook my rice and veg, had a good amount of pork fat in it which added to the flavour and gave the rice a lovely sheen.

    Excellent dish, the ONLY PROBLEM is I’m diabetic & I had to substitute the sugar with a touch of 🍯 Honey, worked just as well & VERY VERY TASTY. I’ve always hated Pork Belly UNTIL NOW! Thank you & I’m going to make some for my brother & my sister-in-law next week & see what they think. Again, thank for an excellent recipe 👏👏👏.

    Made this today! So good. Did a little short cut and cooked my pork belly in my instapot for 10-15 minutes instead of boiling for 2 hours! So good!!!

      @@hanoic it was very tender! Insta pots make everything melty and fall off the bone. You have to becareful though or it all dissolves it gets so soft!!

    this recipe is so good. BUT might i suggest using the broth for pho noodles after you remove the pork belly. so delicious

      You could even use the broth in the sweet soy sauce mix instead of oil since the broth already has that tasty pork drippings.

    Made this tonight. I had thinner sliced pork belly so only boiled an hour. This was delicious! Served over rice and sliced cabbage.

      @@chrisjackson4556 depends on thickness. Ours were about half the thickness of hers and 1 hour of simmer was enough.

      Good idea, cus I was thinking of substituting the chili pepper for either chili powder or paprika (my son loves pork but doesn’t like spicy too much)

    I've stir braised belly and to be sure it's cooked and ready for stir fry part takes about an hour.

    You know what you are missing? The moment you put in lemongrass and don't put this other ingredient, it won't taste as good - fish sauce!

    I am currently making this and it seems my cuts of pork belly were extremely fatty...I am at the stir frying part and am wondering should I keep stir frying this fat...like, will it get crisp?

      @@Kitchensanctuary Thats ok---I am very new to cooking and this was a challenge for me. I got a little restless reducing the glaze, and ended up burning it a little...definitely got sticky, and the flavor was good, but my pork pieces were a bit too crunchy since I turned the heat up and wasn't constantly stirring. Will try it again soon! Thanks!

    I eyeballed quantities and tasted. This glaze is killer. I missed seasoning the pork when it went into the frying pan and definitely noticed

    AY YO. made this tonight but pan seared cubed belly then roasted in a covered pan 350 for two hours. Then in the pan with glaze sauce it. Is. ridiculous.
