What a load of BS. Creating open shots is what great offensive threats do. And that can be anyone, from playmaker to center. Get double teamed - pass to open teammate. Pass the first defender, or exploit a screen, or in transition, or myriad other situations. Ideally, you'd want your playmaker orchestrating it all, but just because your playmaker creates open shots doesn't mean he's a good playmaker. He could just be an extremely good offensive threat, just like Steph Curry.
Not that NBA is interested in positional, prepared basketball, with all the defensive rules, no hand checking, no travelling calls, soft fouls, etc. Larry Bird would make mince meat of any defense in today's NBA.
If Curry avg 1 ast. And won 3 rings why TF do he need to avg 5 ast? For you feelings? Who TF are you? If he wins with no ast then maybe that aint what he need to do. Maybe that aint the recipe for his team.

He had the same problems with Brooks, so two different coaches who haven’t been able to effectively curtail those tendencies. Lots of things have changed around him but those bad tendencies haven’t changed. Though he’s playing better recently

He’s not saying Fox is better, but contract wise, age wise, and when you take in accordance that Westbrook is in his prime and Fox is still young if you were to have bare bones players and can only build around one of the two, by the time the talent grows, Westbrook isn’t in his prime Fox however will be in his prime or outside of it. That’s not a bad take.

Sharing means you let other creates and you respect them and play into their offense.
Playmaking always have that extra pass which another teammates can get open . All started because you made a good play and a extra pass to complete the play.
