sasul he checks mic, because during the performance if mics would work, it may cause feedback and there could be a noise, you fool
The mixing was a mess, but wow grandpa is killing it there. Orianthi is so cool. Slash's playing still managed to be breathtaking regardless of being in such low volume compared to everyone else

Now you now how important are the sound engineers and the stuff behind the band.
The background noise is drowning out the magic coming from Slash's guitar. Someone needed to adjust the volumes.

I hope the sound was better for the audience than it was captured in this video. Just compare the volume of the Strat to the other guitars, especially when he's done with his solo, it feels like suddenly, there's a "hole" in the sound.

the older guy solo was like a dream .slash was suprised he didnt know realy how to follow this afterwards .i think he should have let him finish the song.the soundman surley get upset @
Fun fact, as someone who has played tons of shows, this is a much more realistic view of what most concerts sound like. Obviously there are too many instruments playing and this is a little bit more extreme, but I noticed quickly the difference in quality when listening to amateur recordings of artists concerts when compared to the professional recordings heard on DVDs and some live CDs. Artists tend to release their best shows and the public doesn’t always get to see what the average show looks like. We are all humans, and it’s really hard to get the sound right at every venue. Size/equipment failures/mood of the band, etc. all come into play. Good on Slash for owning the moment and not running from a poor recording. I actually like Slashes tone, but I wish it was louder. It’s punchy and not overly trebly/bassey.
