I have a friend on Facebook who knew Robin personally. He said that Robin would make you comfortable while in his presence, which says so much to me. Just because Robin was this bigtime celebrity, he never acted as though he was better than everybody else.

I grew a hard rocker in the '70s but I don't care what anyone says; the Brothers Gibb were and will always be an amazing set of musicians and performers, Goolge their anthology , 5 decades of performing and hits, multiple genres, in the top 10 biggest sellers of records in history of contemporary music. The will live as long as people want to dance or sing along.
I have seen videos of the Bee Gees when they were kids. Robin had the smile and natural ability to connect with the audience. I smiled back.

Yes but his own family worked against him. His father and supposedly loving older brother. They couldn't support him. he wasn't the golden boy. Barry was. In my opinion Robin was the greater talent and that's why they tried to destroy his solo career.They all knew how talented Robin was.They just couldn't let that happen because golden boy wanted him back the Bee Gees. No one cared what Robin wanted. The ones who hurt Robin the most was family. How sad. I think Barry should own up to how he hurt Robin, but no golden boy still even after he died , gets his kicks putting Robin down. Pathetic. Robins numerous fans are NOT amused.Now Barry's the last man standing, He should be honoring his brothers. Would it hurt to give them credit, after all, it was Bee Gees, all 3 not just Barry!!

I’m with you, Sarah. I’m 82.. we are slightly older than Barry. We’ve got some precious memories. I think the brothers would be touched to know how many have loved them.. always! I cherish every moment I’ve been able to experience their talent, morals, kindness and their beautiful God given gifts!

Why do people insist on saying "I'm 973 years young." It's stupid. You re 82 and you are an old person. There is nothing in the word "old" that is remotely judgmental or insulting or value laden about being called old. The word has no meaning whatsoever if an 82 year old person cannot be called "old". I'm getting up there myself and it is neither here nor there that I'm getting old because that's the way time works. Accept with dignity that you are old. So what? The thing about "82 years young" is that you are working from the assumption that old=useless and it most certainly does not. It refers to how many years you have lived and if you have lived 82 years you are old. You are old.
I love hearing Robin talk as much as sing!! His voice is amazing! I sure miss him!!!
I could sit and listen to Robin for hours on end and never check my watch, he's got a tremendous mind, gets into detail on minute subjects and delivers his thoughts in sections in order to make it understandable, to individuals who start out with the least interest then being totally captivated. He's a great conversationalist.
He is indeed which is unusual for people who are as shy as he was deep down.

Robin sings with smiles during his younger days..specially when he sung a song using a trumpet, i cant help myself but to smile back because of his actions and i really love it, he',s the cutiest among the three and i love him the way he danced....a truly artist in his own way

I am absolutely amazed at the talent and humbleness of the brothers Gibb . Their story of how they dreamed of being in a famous band when they were so tiny stil is almost like a fairy tale story ... They are so funny and interesting and honest in every interview i have seen of the Bee Gees whether they are by themselves or together and i am just in awe of this family and all of the countless songs they wrote for all those other people ...i believe that if there were more ppl like the Bee Gees in the world then it wud be such a better place!!! So professional in their interviews and candidly honest while being such humble and considerate individuals i am just in awe of how wonderful and talented Barry Robin Maurice and Andy Gibb all are - such an impact and great influence they have all had and contributed to the complex and ever changing world of MUSIC !!! I am so touched by the life story of this family and how generous they have been by donating so much to charities like they have ... Robin had talent. Robin was smart, funny, and humble too. I haven't seen that the apple fell off the tree so much with Spencer. Does Spencer still sing?
As much as I love all three Bee Gees, in my heart I always feel something when I hear Robin's voice singing. I think he's my favorite vocalist ever.

Love their humility. Bees Gees the best pop group, harmonisers and song writers in the world ever.
When I think of Robin, I think of him and Maurice and how extremely close they were. I know that when Maurice died, it hurt him deeply. It was a hurt that never would heal.
Ok but Barry's heart never healed when Andy died too but it's a nice point how they were close.
@@coreygray3502 It's not a competition. To say Robin and Maurice were uncommonly close does not imply anything about Barry's feelings about Andy which I'm sure were genuine. The odd thing was how Barry would occasionally say he and Andy were the "real twins".
His last words were, "I wish Mo were here" (Mo was Maurice's nickname).
@@beeharbour What I always heard Barry say was, we were as much like twins as Maurice & Robin. Not that I'm disputing what you may have heard.

Such a kind and caring person. He loved life but he lost some sparkle in his eyes after losing Maurice. The hurt was always very obvious in his eyes. They are together now and singing for all the angels.

I have listened to the Bee Gee's since my childhood days. Now I am in midlife. When I watch the Bee Gees, I just feel so melancholic. They feel like family! Their grace, their humbleness is just amazing. Barry is carrying a lot of weight on his shoulders, I can feel it. But the love they all poured into our world over the years can be felt and will be felt for decades to come.
