Walkthrough tour of Chalet Norte in Sonalon, Verbier

A video walkthrough of the impressive Chalet Norte in one of Switzerland's most popular ski resorts. Chalet Norte is the primary residence within the two chalet known as the Alpine Estate. With six bedrooms and a staff apartment, open plan living and dining room, expansive terraces, a large wine cave, cinema room and a state of the arts spa with pool, this is one of the very best chalets in Verbier.
The main residence is a seven bedroom, seven bathroom property set out over five floors, linked by stairs and a lift. The main entrance of the chalet takes you into the second floor hallway. The expansive living room has floor to ceiling windows and an impressive open stone fireplace. The luxurious open plan living and dining area opens onto an extensive wrap around balcony and the dining room can be closed off from the living room if desired. A separate kitchen is located off the dining room with its own entrance.
The master bedroom occupies the top floor (third floor) of the chalet. Downstairs on the first floor are a further five bedrooms, including a wonderful children's bedroom with two bunk beds and a separate one bedroom apartment with its own spacious living and dining rooms. All the bedrooms and the apartment are en-suite and have access to a balcony or terrace.
The ground floor contains the spa, wellness and cinema, all built to incredible high specification. It consists of an 11 metre heated swimming pool with a tiled floor that can be elevated to create a shallow pool for children or raised completely to create additional entertaining space, a hammam, sauna, outdoor Jacuzzi, two massage rooms, bar and a fitness area. The cinema room has a separate kitchen.
The lower ground floor houses an impressive temperature controlled wine cellar with circular windows into the pool. This level also includes a ski and boot room and access to the private underground garage with parking spaces for five cars. Chalet Norte has a built area of around 980m2 on a plot of 1,621m2.
The adjoining Chalet Sirocco, set over four floors, is superb and although it can be used independently it also acts as ancillary to the main chalet (additional accommodation or for two families holidaying together). The chalet has four bedrooms and four bathrooms with a built area of 584m2 on a plot of 651m2.
The Savoleyres lift station is a short distance away and it is only a seven minute drive to the Medran lift station and five minutes to the resort centre.
Verbier is a picturesque alpine village located in south western Switzerland in the canton of Valais. It is one of the top Swiss holiday resorts, renowned for its skiing and as one of the premier 'off piste' resorts in the world during winter whilst proving almost as popular during the summer months with the Verbier Music Festival and international horse jumping show. Many people have made Verbier their home over recent years taking advantage of the alpine charm and all year round buzz.
Verbier is approximately one hour from Chamonix, two hours' drive from Geneva, and three hours from Zurich. The nearest international airport is Geneva. Sion airport, just 50 minutes away by car, can accommodate private jets and offers helicopter transfers. You can also land private helicopters closer in Le Chable, only 15 minutes from Verbier.
