Madonna played a great Evita. Bandares played a great Che Guevara(not that i admired Che). I saw this movie when it came out in ‘96. I recently bought the blue ray. It’s so good! Love it! I know that Madonna was expecting her first child when she did this movie. Although I was never one of her fans I think this was the best thing she’s ever done…imho. She needs to get off the stage now and let us remember her like this😉

What Madonna forgot that Evita was always a creature of the street - fighting- Elena Roger captured that element so well - Madonna in this sequence is almost regal and she was hated by Buenas Aires society
