My dear Vivi: you win the prize for perseverance against all odds. I’m full of admiration and very proud of you. I hope the kind people that looked after you at the Kiwavi home hotel get all the support they deserve. Cris: you are becoming a fantastic filmmaker and storyteller. I felt I was in that walk and climb. Nice to see all those people that were part of your journey. I’m sure your next climb will be even more spectacular 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Congrats Chris. I am so proud of you. Well done, awesome video! Love the way you choose the music! You two can overcome anything together, I wish you all the best for your future! May your dreams come ture
Mate i am so proud and inspired by what you are doing, it is truly amazing what you both put yourselves through! Last year i was at a really low point in my life and watching your videos got me motivated to start hiking, so i thank you 🙂
Beautifully directed and produced, showing creative originality combined with the requisite hard nosed planning and grit. Admire the drive to get the task done, but still with the time for human warmth, interest and positivity
Many congratulations to both of you for your achievement. For me, simply the best YT channel at the moment. You deserve millions of views. Enjoy your next trips. I wish you all the best.
Oh, the wait for this chapter was almost killing me, but it was so much worth it. 😀 Once again, I just love to see all that country (and mountain) through your eyes. You are both heroes (and the porters, cooks, guides also) for getting stuff done the way you are. I'm sure you will reach all the summits, and I'll be here watching. If it takes longer time, then hell, so be it. But what you create is unique and highly valuable. It's just a joy to watch you two being the loving and humble persons as you are. I've seen many-many films about summiting Kilimanjaro, but this was faaaaar the best. Have fun on every next mountain! 😊
Another AMAZING trip!!! Glad to see you both made it! That story about the man sitting with you under the tree was such a heartwarming story. What a wonderful person.
Congratulations to the both of you. The reunion with Charles was my favorite part. Thanks for sharing and I am keenly awaiting the next installment. Good luck
Solid stuff guys! Great footage capturing the local interactions along your journey, I find these experiences can be the most memorable/humbling to reflect upon. Thanks for bringing back the Killi memories!
Powerful messages in this one! So cool to see it through your eyes especially diluting that fear! Sending positive vibes to Viv, she’s going through the wringer but have no doubt she’ll come out stronger than ever! Keep climbing mate!! 💪
A great achievement for you both, Cris. Really enjoyed the video. I'm glad Viv managed to fight through the pain barrier to reach the top and I hope she has recovered. I am always amazed how friendly and helpful the people are that you meet on your journeys. I think your own engaging personality brings out the best in people.
Love everything about this video apart from Viv getting sick! Well done, dude! You didn’t mention the blisters in this video so I’m guessing you went back to wearing old shoes?! 😂
Felicitari! Saptamana trecuta am facut si eu primul meu 4500m din zona Monte Rosa. Sper sa reusesc si eu un urmatorii 10 ani sa fac 7 Summit. Ma rog sa iti reuseasca ce iti propui. Multa sanatate sa aveti!
Congrats, what a huge achievement! What a lovely landscape and people over there. Just two things: I wish the summit clip was a little bit longer. The video had such a long buildup and then we barely get a minute on the summit, it felt like a bit of a letdown. Also, watching you walk along the road with your back turned towards the traffic gave me huge anxiety spikes. I think it's generally safer to walk facing towards incoming traffic because you see what's coming. Just two thoughts meant to improve the video's quality and keep you safe. I hope you don't take offense! Thanks for the videos, looking forward to more!
No offence taken, thanks for the feedback. Funny enough I was having the summit conversation today with Viv after her mom gave the same feedback. Even though it looks pleasant on camera, being at 5,895m is pretty brutal, especially after not sleeping. It's cold and hard to breathe, also, the whole time we were filming our guide was asking us to hurry up because he was freezing. You'll actually notice that in all of the films I do on mountains over 4,500 meters, there's very little footage on the peak. About my choice of walking with my back to traffic, funnily this ended up being safer. When I started the walks in Africa I was facing incoming traffic, until I realised that the biggest threats are the trucks that overtake other trucks, and in general, anyone that overtakes. When a truck overtakes a vehicle they push close to you, and because you think that lane is free (because you can't see anything from in front) sometimes you can let your guard down and inch closer to the road. On the other side when cars are coming from behind you just move any time you hear a sound. Appreciate you watching!
Did you walk from your Moshi hotel to the Umbwe gate? I’m not saying you haven’t, just did only see the bus part there :) The really hard ones are coming now. :)
@@TraintoSummit haha 😄Just found this playlist and watching back through the vids now. Keen to follow your progress right the way through to the end. Keep up the good work man. ✊

Great work again guys.
This looked a lot less traumatic than aconcagua for Kris.
Sorry for Viv that she felt sick. Glad your both okay.
It definitely was far less traumatic 😅

@1:45 how much “we” in that decision 😅
Hahahaha. Admittedly very little...
In my defence, the easier routes were on the other side of Kilimanjaro and would have added 2 days of walking 😂
