You walked, you saw, you summited, and then you walked again ! Conquering the elements, head/ body/emotional pain, street dogs and Google maps! Very well done, an outstanding first !!
Awesome stuff guys and congrats on the huge milestone. Unfortunate for Viv though I'm sure she was on the top in spirit. Your teamwork and support for each other is second to none. Overcoming the mental battle on this mountain is the hardest task, glad you persevered and gave it another crack. It's often these dark moments that give us insight about ourselves and what we are truly capable of. I certainly don't miss the hurricane winds or freezing temperatures of Aconcagua! Cheers for filming your journey, it's no easy feature expressing your thoughts on camera especially when fatigued and battling with the elements and altitude. Onwards an upwards!
Being so close, giving up, and then going back and conquering the mountain, what an achievement man. A true display of mental strength most can only dream of. You're an inspiration to everyone, this channel deserves a million subs. Looking forward to your next adventures!
I’ve been waiting for this! Can’t wait to watch. You guys deserve so much more views, hopefully you get them with this amazing journey/challenge! Keep going 💪🏼
Amazing. Such a huge achievement. I visited Santiago and Valparaiso in 2004. I loved the view of the Andes towering in the background, but never for a moment had the thought of climbing there. I certainly didn't think of walking there from Valparaiso!! Maybe one day, though seeing how tough Aconcagua was puts it all in perspective. It may be "just" a trekking peak, but it is clearly no joke. I look forward to more of your adventures and can't even imagine how you could get to Everest from sea level!!
I remember walking up when I was still 4 days away and looking up thinking 'How the hell am I getting there'😂. It's amazing what a bit of progress every day can do! Yeah really looking forward to the India leg of the journey, the distance is crazy... Appreciate you following along on the journey!
Inspiring!!! So glad you’ve made it, not only the success of the objective but the journey itself looked incredible. The quality of the video is also outstanding 🎉
This is amazing. I am really glad you made it to the top. I am planning to do the hike solo one day, your video is very useful. Thank you for sharing all the details. Last bit of the video, when you get close to home reminded me of how I felt when I completed some of the hikes. It's so true. I enjoy watching the whole video and wish you the best of luck on any future hikes.
It's SO important the people that cheer you up to try to succeed, they believe in you more than yourself at that point. Something something similar happened to me, in a hole other level in a thru hike. Great video! Happy for you! Will keep following the adventures 👍🏻
Wow, what an incredible journey! 🌄 Starting from the ocean and attempting to summit Aconcagua is an insane challenge - can only imagine how tough it got at Plaza de Mulas. The dedication it takes to try each of the 7 Summits from sea level is so inspiring. Thanks for sharing this amazing adventure, can’t wait to see what’s next! 🏔💪
Wow wow wow!! What an achievement, just incredible (but you’re officially a nutter 😂) Fantastic video. Well done Cris, can’t wait to see the next adventure!
Wow, what a storytelling and endurance! Wish you all the best! I hope that you find good sponsors for the upcoming trip, because you really put something down on the table with these videos!
What a beautiful story of love and determination. We know very well how tough it was for both of you. Thank God for all the amazing people you met on your way to the summit and the kind people we met in our way in Mendoza, Santiago and Lima 🫶🏻💕🙏🏼
Incredible guys. What a god damn epic effort. Grab life by the horns and ride that bad boy out. Every time I watch I get more inspired. Hopefully those cracked fingers recovered and I’m pumped to see the journey to Kilimanjaro!!
This is fucking amazing! I've been following you for a while and it's impressive how much you've progressed and done. Keep pushing! You've gained a cult of supporters over here!
Excellent video Cris! Well done for persisting with a second summit attempt. I feel so sorry for Viv though. I hope she recovers fully & can join you on some other summits.
Simply wow. Thank you so much for taking us with you on your adventures und good Look and a Lot of fun at your upcomming ones. It is really a grand Idea of life❤
Congratulations. That was absolutely epic and riveting to watch! I completely admire your determination to keep going and try to summit again despite the setbacks. Really inspirational. Such a shame about Viv's injury. Hoping she will be able to join you all the way on Kilimanjaro. All the best and looking forward to the next instalment!
What can I say, the quality & story line is too good! This video made me a patreon subscriber. You both have been putting a tremendous amount of effort to do this so 100% Im in on the journey. Well done!
Well done, Cris. Disappointed for Viv but at least she is ok. The comradeship between climbers of all nationalities is amazing. Looking forward to the next video.
@@gautisteinorsson6161 Thank you! Are you the Icelandian who wanted to do the 7 Summits together with their dad? It's hard to tell from the profile picture. How did the trip go??
@@TraintoSummit Yes that is me! We ended up summiting along with 4 other people in our group, there were 6 that didn't make it to the top, sadly. But the trip went very smoothly up until camp 2 where I got very sick and my oxygen saturation levels dropped to 51%. My guides wanted to send me back down but I negotiated with them and they let me stay under the condition that my levels needed to be above 60% by the end of the day. I managed to be above 60% by the end of the day and they let me continue. In the morning of the summit day my oxygen level was at 71-74% so it was very hard and I almost gave up. But I was so happy I didn't, because reaching the top was just something else. And yes I am planning on doing the seven summits. I have Denali, Everest, Vinson and Puncak Jaya left and plan on summiting Denali in 2026 and Everest in 2027. I have already begun planing and training for them. Hopefully I can do Jaya or Vinson in 2025.

I've been waiting so hard for this video, and even that I knew the outcome, since I did follow you on insta, I had butterflies in my stomach when you aborted and went down at your first summit attempt. Anyways, thanks yet again for bringing us all with you. I'm ready for more😄 Best regards..
Well done Kriss and Viv. I'm so pleased you didn't quit. Glad viv had the sense to stop and not antagonise her injury further. By the way my girlfriend said Kris's nose looked like a big strawberry when.he was near the summit! And it did! 😂
I’m surprised you didn’t get any comments saying that Denali & Aconcagua are on the same continent. I know Geography classes in certain other countries teach people that Denali & Aconcagua are on the same continent.
Just watched the documentary and now this, and I’m not only fully invested in your success but also inspired to start mountaineering myself! Maybe not to nearly the same scale as you’re doing but do you have any tips for getting into mountaineering?
So happy to hear that it inspired you! Start getting out in the mountains and doing longer hikes over more rocky terrain, set a goal that's only a couple of steps out of your comfort level and take the necessary steps to tick those boxes (doing a course, some indoor climbing, etc). You got this!
@@TraintoSummit appreciate the response and will definitely take the words of advice! Have started training to increase my general cardio, looking for climbing courses in my local area to enroll in, and will be going on a family trip to Las Vegas, USA next month for vacation, during which I’ve allocated time to summit Mt Charleston as my first real mountain at around 3,630m. If you’re ever in doubt or lose motivation, keep in mind that you inspire people like me who can see themselves in you and the struggles you go through, and the fact that you keep pushing makes us believe we can too!
amazing and very inspiring, to be honest looking at attempting Aconcagua after doing Killy last year, while I was first watching the first half og your video I was thinking not going to happen for me, thankfully watched to the end and fully inspired, amazing that you bucked up and went back up not sure I could make that kind of decision. Any advice or anything you wish you would have done differently?
@@ShneurGershuni Thanks for watching and for your comment 🙏🏻 I would take more time to rest in between the acclimatisation rotations, at least 2 full rest days. Eat and drink a lot. Bring hand cream and lip balm, your skin will get destroyed from the dry air and dust. Like everything the peak is very manageable, just take it one day at a time, it's an incredible experience 👊🏻
