Mac people you need to take the file exported out from AE and bring it into text editor like notepad and resave the file with ending .json then you can open it in blender.
I use this method all the time, it’s great but normally I delete that solid in front of the camera and just add my video as a background image. Quicker that way.
When I import to blender, I can press 0 to go into camera view and add the background video and it lines up, but when I add a mesh its miles away and not nearly large enough
Same here :D i am not 100 % sure what to download.First i downoaded folder "after effects to blender export master"zip then followed with importing the script. Now under scripts i can see export script from ai but once i click on it it says :"unable to execute script file or folder does not exist.most likely i havent downloaded something but not sure what or how
I'm curious what can you do with this workflow that is better than tracking directly in Blender? I don't do a lot of this stuff so I'm really just curious what the difference is.
@@benfluencer6441 Ok I tried the jsx already first, but it didn't work. AE said it loaded it successfully, but it didn't. So not sure if I copped too much or what. I copied the entire thing minus the copyright msg, but did includ that little simple right under the last line of that, all the way down to the bottom. Is there two parts in that same script text, so maybe that's why it didn't work?
I copied everything, saved it, uploaded the script to AE, went to preferences “allow scripts” (or something similar). Then restarted AE and it worked 🤔
@@benfluencer6441 Ugh, Ok, did you copy the copyright part too then? Because I literally did the same thing, minus copying the copyright stuff and it doesn't work, I have enable scripts already on since I have a bunch of others already. I'll try this anyways just to see.

Just paying the $10 for AE2Blend is so much more practical

💯💯💯 such a fire script!

About the object shadow? Do you apply in blender?
This is great🎉
i cant seem to get the scaling down or orienting the workspace. everything is miles away and I can't line things up

Hi, I am still by step one. When I download that script it appeared in the browser. How to make a needed "jsx" from that? I need help.

tracking in blender is a tedious process.
This also works on Mac ?
great !
Love u
Tell me how to transform objects from blender to AF ? the free simple version and and pay simple version ? :) Thank you
Select it , and export the object to a waveform 💕 , it automatically sends over your material options as well ✊🏾
If it’s a large object with multiple components . Highlight them all, CTRL J , & export as wavefront
Damn! Seems cool. I don't think it works with Mac users.
this is not working for me, its not exporting as a correct file ,could this be from AE recent update ?
same, are you on mac?
W for Rayan
You can only export one solid at a time unfortunately........
Nah you can export as many as you need. Just make sure they are selected when exporting.
@@ukmonk how to rotate the video?
@@aryamurti5414 sorry in AE or Blender?
That script file doesn't exist. It just loads up the actual script in text on another tab
save it in notepad. the first as .jx and the second as .py

I’m so sorry I had a typo in there. The script must be saved with a name and .jsx - so like script.jsx
