- hello. With the AE 24.1 update, you can now import glb in the full version as well.
You can now do even more with 3D.
This update also adds new environmental lighting to make 3D objects look more natural.

@@TutoView 영상과 무관한 질문이 있어서 좀 드려봅니다, 에펙24버전을 사용중인데 이상하게 텍스트 (한글)를 치는게 너무 느린데 혹시 이런 현상 해결하는 방법을 아시는지요? 특정 프로젝트에서 발생하는 현상인거 같기도 하고... 다른 프로젝트에서는 또 정상적으로 반응하기도 합니다. 특정 폰트가 그런가 했는데 전체적으로 컴포지션 내에서 작성하는 텍스트의 반응이 너무 느리네요.. 영문은 그나마 한글에 비해 좀 빠른데 정상적인 반응 속도는 아니긴 하고... 프로젝트 패널에서 각 소스 등의 이름을 한글로 수정하는 것은 정상적인 반응 속도를 보이는데 막상 작업하면서 작성하는 타자 반응이 느리니 작업 속도가 너무 느려져서 답답하네요 ㅠ
@@Kwooz 안녕하세요 이 문제는 저도 자주 겪는 문제중 하나 입니다. 예전에 해결해 보려고 했는데 결국은 프로젝트가 무거워지면 타이포 반응속도가 느려지는 것 같았습니다. 너무 느리면 메모장에 써서 붙여 넣기 하는 방식으로 작업하고 있습니다. ㅠ 에펙이 2015 때 부터 폰트 문제와 느려짐 현상등이 발생하는 것 같아요 버전이 높아질수록 신기능은 많아지는데 사양이 점점 올라가는 추세입니다. ㅠ 그래도 지금은 그때보단 많이 나아졌는데 앞으로도 많이 개선되어야할 문제 같습니다.
@@TutoView 역시 해결이 안되는 문제인가 보군요. 한글의 위대함 이라고 여겨야겠네요ㅎㅎ 붙여넣기가 최선인거군요ㅠ. 바쁘실 와중에 답변주셔서 고맙습니다^^

Thank you so much. very cool. I'm pretty new with AE and having a few issues. I have used the add lights and camera function before, so I have some experience with that.
For some reason I am not seeing the point light at all. It's in my composition, top layer, same order as your but it's not seeming to show up anywhere, even the xyz axes aren't visible.
The only thing I think I did differently was pick a different HDR scene most similar to mine. Any ideas?
Okay, I actually found it - it was way off the screen. It doesn't seem to be interacting with my image now. I'm adjusting intensity, radius, falloff, but it seems still to have no effect.
okay, figured that one out too! my Z axis value was also way too high. basically off of the 3D frame entirely.

If the light is far away from the screen and is not visible,
Connect a light to the currently visible object (parent) and then set the light x,y,z values to 0,0,0 to find it quickly.

I'm revisiting this and having trouble making an arc path for the light to travel. wondering if you have any tips? Thank you again!
Let me explain my personal favorite method for moving light around.
To move along a path, I find it easier to work with the start and end positions first.
This ensures that the start and end positions are moving in a straight line, and I add frames to the middle key to add detail to the movement.
This is how I work. Everyone has a different working style, so my method may not be right for everyone.

Hi there. Great video! I've just followed the tutorial step by step, but for some reason, nothing appears in my After Effects composition after importing the .glb file. Even with the same camera settings. Do you know what could be the issue?
Hello, if AE is 24.1, the glb file should be displayed normally. If you do not see it when you click Make comp Size, there may be a problem with the glb file.
@@TutoView Hi again. I’m also running 24.1 and I tried with 3 different glb files. I definitely must be doing something wrong. I’ll try again and I’ll let you know if I succeeded or not.

This looks really crazy! Unfortunately, when I import the glb. I get an inscription saying "3D model for use with trapcode" on the footage
Is this feature native to After Effects 24.1?
Can I import .glb files into Video Copilot's Element3D and do the same thing?

Hello, glb cannot be loaded in E3D. In AE 24.1, glb is imported by default, and a simple conversion process is required to convert a 2D image into glb.

Missed opportunity there by Adobe to have that Depth Map to 3D object creator right inside After Effects? They already have a lot of AI embedded into it. Hope they add it.
Depth maps are provided by default in Photoshop. In After Effects, you still have to rely on plugins.😢

안녕하세요~! 뎁스 스캐너랑 이거와는 비교가 힘듭니다. 뎁스 스캐너는 영상이나 이미지에서 뎁스맵를 생성해 주는 플러그인이고, 이 영상에서 나온 방법은 이미지의 뎁스를 기반으로 한 3D mesh를 생성하여 에펙으로 가져오는 방법입니다. 만약 뎁스맵 추출을 비교하여 물어 보신 거라면 우선 뎁스 스캐너로 하는 것이 품질 면에서 좋습니다. 하지만 뎁스맵을 스틸 사진에서만 추출할 것이고 고화질의 뎁스맵이 필요하지 않다면 포토샵이나 다른 뎁스맵 사이트를 이용하여 추출 할 수 있습니다.

안녕하세요. 기존 23버전에서 업데이트를 안하고 사용하고 있다가 해당 영상을 보고 따라해보고싶어서 삭제하고 24.1버전으로 업데이트하고 사용해보려고 했는데 after effcets can't continue: advanced 3d plug-in generated an unexpected excption 이라는 경고문구가 계속나오면서 종료되더라구요. 혹시 해결법을 알고 계실까해서 댓글 남깁니다
안녕하세요~! glb파일이 화면에 나오지 않는 문제로 질문 받은적이 었는데 그래픽카드 드라이버를 업데이트 하고 해결을 봤다고 했습니다. 아무래도 그래픽카드에 영향을 받는 것 같습니다. 아직까지 문제가 해결되지 않았다면 그래픽카드 드라이버를 업데이트 해보시기 바랍니다^^

This is NOT an After Effects feature. You need to change the title of your video. It is misleading

However, a key feature of AE 24.1 is support for image-based lighting, such as glb and HDR. This video explains how to use this feature to make an image 3D. Converting an image to glb is very simple and can be done by anyone, so I don't think the title of the video is a problem.
