To me it's really strange to dump boiling water in it and then be surprised when it's yellow hahaha. But that makes sense higher quality teas would keep their color better. I really only drink matcha but I've taken a liking to Sencha lately for afternoon brewing.
can only say WOW. I just tasted the Yame matcha from you (Ooika). I ordered on Black Friday. That is the most bright green, tastiest matcha I have ever tried. And I've tried some pretty decent stuff. Eshima Okumidori Yame. I can't wait to try the other one I ordered. You don't even need any honey at all, not even a little. Amazing!! The freshness is out of this world.
That's for watching! What's the most surprising part of how Matcha is judged at the National Tea Competition?

That’s amazing, thank you so much!!!
you bet. Can't wait to snag some more@@Ooika
What is the price point. I find matcha pretty pricey.
Tencha (unground Matcha) that wins first place at the national tea competition can sell for $4,000 to $6,000 per 1000 grams.
Can anyone attend the competition?
Im wondering the same thing! Can I attend with you Ooika and does anyone get to try any of the competition teas there? :)
