Thanks for such a great video and honest reviews ^_^ I also don't read many thrillers (I think the last one I read was in June called 'The Silent Patient') and I know what you mean about the 'eh' aspect - a book takes the scary edge out of an otherwise thriller-scary movie situation. I think I'll stick to horror when I want to actually be freaked out/on edge about a story. I get to re-read 'The Haunting Of Hill House' this month so I'm so excited for that! p.s. love the lil ghost who made an appearance

@@louky_books Ooo, well I’d recommend Alice by Christina Henry (a really messed up retelling of Alice in Wonderland - I think it’s a series now), and Haunting of Hill House by Shirley Jackson. And for YA Horror I really liked Within These Wicked Walls by Lauren Blackwood - really interesting fantasyish-Ethiopian-setting retelling of Jane Eyre! If you’ve read any of these and mentioned them in previous vids, I’m sorry! Haven’t watched the whole back catalogue of your videos yet - but I will eventually hehe. I can never get enough new recommendations 😄
