Hard working Ronnie Tutt as Elvis would say. There is another performance of this song on TH-cam which states Fantastic Finish. It’s worth watching and shows how supple Elvis was at that time. Makes my knees hurt every time I watch it.
@@PopularTripeNick the link for the version that Honeysuckle Rose didn't give is th-cam.com/video/NZe4aew795g/w-d-xo.html ; there is another version but doesn't really show that finish very well; thanks
One of my favourite songs and performances - such an upbeat song you can't but sing or move around to it - also love the single version it's a bit slower but has a slight bluesy feel to it and is just as great as the live version though 💗
Wonderful reaction. I can only recommend to you to analyse One of the songs that shows the wide range of his voice. "make the world go away 1970". Its truly amazing
Loving your reactions. Lots more for you to discover. I’d still like you to do Rags To Riches from New Years Eve 1976 and of course Hurst from the same concert or from June 1977
There's just no end to it, is there. 1972 Greensboro, North Carolina for "Release Me" -- tell me if you hear the audience sing along w-him about 1/2 way through after he says chug-a-lug baby -- we can hear the backups but it sounds like the audience a bit later -- i may be wrong th-cam.com/video/OJY5Lah-aEg/w-d-xo.html.
There are several videos of this performance that are edited, chopped etc. But when you said Carol sent it I knew it was the real thing. This is the complete performance, the reason the quality dropped a couple of times is the edited (non hi res) footage that the movie left out was added back in. Elvis' movements here are so fluid with the music, the arm swinging then changing directions, always puts a smile on my face. BTW: anyone notice Nancy Sinatra at 2:10 of the video???
@@gbbryangad if you watch "Love Me Tender" walk through the audience you hear a girl call out Elvis kiss me as he's about to get back up on stage -- it's said that it's Liza Minnelli, Judy Garland's daughter who would have been 24 & a big name in her own right back then -- the profile does absolutely look like her -- & i wouldn't put it past her yelling out something like that

I bet you probably don't want to kiss the screen like I often do 😂. As you said the music does flow through him (which obviously got him into trouble in the 50s with those gyrations!). Check out 'I just can't help believing' from the same set of Vegas shows - one of my favourites ❤
i left a comment & suggestions & it's gone -- i'll try to re-do. Did you see him "giving the finger" as he's finishing up -- starting at 4:57 on my screen
To me there is no such thing as best; we may like one a little more than another, but best? Nope! Btw, i asked Nick if he noticed Elvis "giving the finger" as he's finishing up the song about 4:57-5:00. Nick said he'd have to look at it again.
Thank you so much! Who would ever imagine a song w-so few lyrics can be pounded out so fantastically. Found another "Burning Love" Apr. 18, 1972 San Antonio, TX -- great version & footage, Elvis is really enjoying himself & looks terrific & is holding his lyric sheet -- th-cam.com/video/nUfAf8kfrtI/w-d-xo.html. Would you consider comparing "Sweet Caroline" between Neil Diamond & Elvis' version ? approx. 6 min. total.
@@suspiciousminds1750 You're very welcome but is there an "incomplete" version of this? I'm not familiar w-it. Regarding Sweet Caroline, it's interesting to see comparisons; i've always been a big Neil Diamond fan -- he was good looking, marvelous rich voice, but came from that time when performing was almost like everyone was on a sedative, & then to see Elvis is something to behold. I put in a great deal of time searching out the best that i can find -- video quality & audio is very important to me & since Elvis has multiple versions of all his songs, it takes quite a bit of time to get the best video possible. Thx so much for your comment!
@@carolhayar3037 Carol, YW. Yes, the original TTWII "Patch it up" version from 1970, was shortened for time. About a yr or two ago, one of the Elvis sites here found the footage that was edited out and added it in where it should go. He used the higher quality footage from the 2000 re-release but the added footage was of the original lower quality from 1970 (if that makes sense). Still it's great to watch the full version. What you have here is also the complete version i believe. Re: "Caroline" Elvis took these songs and brought them to a whole new level, as you said. "Bridge over troubled water" is another example.
@@suspiciousminds1750 i have the very original TTWII DVD when it 1st came out -- have to look at it again; i love the "Bridge..." from San Antonio that i happened to stumble upon because he looks like he's really enjoying himself; fortunately the backstage footage of TTWII opening night was redone properly since Turner ruined it, as they do all Elvis' videos

Once again, because he did various versions of each of his songs, it takes some doing to try & fish out the best available, but between me w-him & a dish of ice cream, it's a good day.
This is true -- he never repeated himself & so many people do not realize this -- especially young people who are new to learning about him -- i always give links to lead a person to a performance or a recording -- especially since there are some really bad versions, both picture quality & sound quality.
