I remember when the Xbox One came out I was more into gaming than I am now, I was one of the few people who actually really liked the original Xbox One model's design. Ended up selling it in 2017 or so and haven't had a console since. I'm getting a Series S to get back into it soon, which is exciting. Haven't had a modern console since then
Xbox One X did get better. I’m surprised they didn’t just do something like a One X refresh with slightly better RAM for the series s. Thankfully there’s Steam Deck. So there’s some hope for old hardware like that. I’m surprised at how far Xbox were able to push that old tech. Still, there is something to be commended for making an accessible console that accounts for people with disabilities and trying to make some use for the back of their controllers. Without those back buttons on Elite, I forgot how bad cod zombies was when I couldn’t look around and repair barriers at the same time. At least Xbox One’s accessories are well built and pretty tough, so I imagine they would last a while. Especially those controllers. Where the games were either lacking or bad, the accessories were very good. Too bad this console couldn’t get out of its grave. If you go in with a losing attitude, you’ll get defeatist results.
I still use my One S and it has a 2TB SSD in it. There are hundreds of new games still being made for it in the MS store, indie games of course and AA games too.
@@dvdbox360 nope a robot white Xbox One S. I just bought Sonic Frontiers, Yakuza, Elden Ring for it. That's 40 disc games I have for it now. I'm not ready to jump ship to Xbox series X yet maybe in 6 more years.
I still use my original Xbox One every so often, but it’s a slow pos. Thankfully the disc Xbox One games are like $2 anywhere. For $50, it’s not hard to find. People are just tossing their original models out for dirt cheap with games and controllers. So it’s not bad for free to play games and emulators. If there’s anything I can say this console did well, it was extending the life of DDR3 Ram by a decade. So thanks for the free ram, Xbox, you made my pc cheaper.
Right around the time when Sony was showcasing how they turned God of War into a Last of Us clone, the One X was released so I was already interested. Then they made my favorite 360 game, Ninja Gaiden II backwards compatible. Bye bye Sony
That was fast. I got the OG in 2013ish w/o the camera. I think it was $300 and came with the Master Chief Collection which I still love playing. Got the camera and games for about $100. Fun enough. All hooked up in my basement on a 55" 1080p LED. Yes, my 1X on a 75" 4K looks much better but it is surprising how much value is still there in that old system. Glad I've kept it.
Not sure they've every really tapped the full power of the 1 X. I played a Series X on an 85" 4K and my own 1X on a 75" 4K at home and really can't tell a difference... yet. We're only 1/2 way into Gen 9. Keeping an open mind.
They dropped the ball big time with that Kinect crap, overpriced system and always online nonsense I never bothered to pick one up PS4 and my 360 was enough

Master Chief Collection didn't come out until 2014 so you would've bought it in 2014, not 2013.
@@Laynel8 Yikes. You are right 11/2014. And they still didn't really fix it for another few years.
I never had a loud Xbox one. Ps4 on the other Hand.... READY FOR LIFT OFF PLS STAND BACK
Yeah. My PS4 slim, while not as loud as the original model, still makes a lot of noise whenever I use it.
6:33 I only played this for the Platinum trophy and nothing else.
I played through the PS4 and PS5 versions for the same reason.

Lol I still have my One X and decided to keep it because the Series X only has Starfield and the game is very disappointing!
