I’m not getting a code at all, just won’t fill with water and then says “washing complete” I’ve reset the breaker as Maytag suggested. Purchased in February and highly upset. Thanks for your video, gonna see if it helps me.
Did you ever get it fixed? Mine is doing the same thing right now. Not dispensing the water and getting a complete wash but the water button still works
Yeah, mine too. (my customer, actually.) The basket and agitator move separately and then together a few times, but no water comes in, and after a few minutes the machine stops and proudly proclaims 'Washing Complete"! I'm going back tomorrow, armed with the information that you gave me to figure out what is going on with this machine.
I found the cause and solution! It was caused by a bad clutch (or slider). The outer metal ring or band separates from the plastic center part. You can buy a new slider, but it will break again in short order. Instead, I tried gluing mine back together using Super Glue Gel (after roughing up the services with sandpaper first). So far, it is working great; and only time will tell if it is a permanent fix.
I had a F9E1 code, so I replaced the drain pump, cleaned all the lines, and the pump still ran continuously. I figured it had to be the pressure switch on the control board. So, I installed a new control board, but now it powers up, with a flashing green light on the board, and the screen says it had a power failure, but none of the buttons will work and do anything. It just sits there saying it had a power failure. Resetting it for 5 minutes does nothing.
So this video was more than helpful, and I’ve been having an issue all night with my every day wear clothes. Pants, socks, underclothes, etc. when the cycle began, it would attempt to “Sense” the load, but would agitate while doing a sort of half spin, causing EVERYTHING to wrap around the agitator. Any ideas on how to clear this error, I’ve unplugged the system to reset it, but I only wait for 10 seconds…should I be waiting longer while it is unplugged? Any help would be GREATLY Appreciated…thank you.
Thanks for the video. I replaced the main control board on our washer after it wouldnt power up after 1 year ownership. The machine powers on after replacing but sticks at 12min spin cycle. It will complete of I cancel and chose drain and spin. No issues draining that I can tell. I ran calibration and diagostics. No codes. Any thoughts?
Im getting a f7e1 code. Reading to just unplug and plug back in....did that but same thing...only 10 months old. Does sensing but doesnt spin and then stops and throws the f7e1 code. Any ideas on what to check?
It sounds like you're referring to an error code on a washing machine, as F7E1 is a common code for many models. The F7E1 error code usually refers to a speed sensor or motor problem, specifically it could indicate: A failure in the motor to achieve or maintain its speed. The motor is not turning when it should be. The tachometer on the motor is not working properly. An issue with the shifter on the washing machine. Here are some things you can check: The Wiring and Connections: Check all the wiring and connections to the motor and the washing machine control board. Make sure all connections are clean, secure, and free of corrosion. The Motor: It could be that the motor has some issues. Try to spin it manually, and if it's stiff or doesn't spin freely, then it might need to be replaced. The Capacitor: If your washing machine has a start capacitor, it may be defective. A multimeter can be used to check if the capacitor is working correctly. The Tachometer: This is a component that measures the speed of the motor. If it's faulty, it might be the reason for the error code. The Shift Actuator: This part shifts the splutch assembly to switch between the wash and spin functions. If it's not functioning properly, it could prevent the washer from spinning. The Splutch assembly: This connects the transmission to the motor and allows the washer to switch between wash and spin. If after checking all these and the issue persists, it might be best to contact a professional technician to diagnose the problem. As your machine is only 10 months old, it might still be under warranty, and any repairs may be covered. Always remember to unplug your machine before checking or replacing any parts to ensure your safety.
Mine goes into the sensing mode its sensors for a couple minutes and then it says wash complete and never even starts running the water but I can hit the fill water button that's by where you put the laundry detergent in that and water will come into the machine
I have this machine and I have a washer repair man here now and he can not get the water pump to shut off, he thinks the machine still thinks there is water in it. Ready to throw it out. only 2 years old
If the washing machine continuously attempts to pump water out of the tub, this indicates an issue with the shifting mechanism. It's not releasing pressure properly, causing the main control to mistakenly think there's still water in the tub. A simple test to confirm this: plug in the machine, and when it starts to pump out water, open the lid and lift the tub slightly. If it stops trying to pump, this means it's not transitioning from agitation to spin mode correctly.
it turns out that the latch on the lid needed to be replaced and the mother board costing me over $ 700.00 / maytag has gone to crap@@onlineappliancetech
I am calling about not a top washer Maytag, where the water goes. It keeps overflowing the washer does not rent well and I have to go to drain and spin every time I do a wash what could be going on
It seems that the waterline inlet valve is not completely closing, and this might be the reason you're experiencing these problems. I trust this explanation will assist you. Kind regards.
Hi thank you for the video. Question when I run the lock it didn't lock but didn't give me a code initially I hade code f9e1 do you this the door lock malfunction
The F9-E1 error signifies a Long Drain Fault, suggesting that the washing machine's drain pump is facing difficulties in eliminating water. The issue typically lies with the drain pump. I'd suggest using the service test mode to fill the tub with water and attempt to drain it. If there's already water present in the tub, just activate the pump while in test mode. Listen carefully for any humming noise, as this would imply that the pump, despite being powered, is malfunctioning and needs replacement. I trust this advice is helpful!
I have a maytag washer model # MVW 7232hwo no power to display, i checked the outlet for power with a lamp there is power ,i checked circuit breaker there is power . here is what happen i put a load of sheets in washer turn dial to bulk setting turn temp of water to hot hit start and it was running went back to check and machine stop ,i unplug the electric cord from the outlet waited one hour plug it back in still not power to the display ,can not open lid to washer its in lock mode and there is water in the tub .Don't know what to do. Help ???
Sorry to hear about your issue with the Maytag washer, that definitely sounds frustrating. It's good that you've confirmed the power source isn't the problem by checking the outlet and circuit breaker. Could be the Control Board: The lack of power to the display could suggest a potential issue with the washer's control board. This would need to be inspected and potentially replaced by a professional, as it is an intricate part of the machine. Please remember to always prioritize safety while handling electronic appliances. If you're not comfortable or familiar with these steps, I'd highly recommend getting in touch with a professional or Maytag's customer service for further assistance. Hope you get this issue resolved soon!
I am getting three codes the F6E3, F7E3, and F7E4. the water turned on but when you go to wash it stays in sensing and the agitator does a slight move then it says complete, but it never pumps water in. When I do the diagnostics it all runs but then gives me those three codes. any ideas? the machine is only 11 months old.
I found the cause and solution! It's caused by a bad Slider/Clutch. This is a 2-part component - a plastic center hub, with a magnetic metal ring or band around the outside. And that is held on by small plastic protrusions that fill in small holes in the clutch. The problem is that these protrusions break off, and that metal ring is free to slide up or down from the plastic part, with the result that the "teeth" may not engage with the teeth of the rotor. You could replace the clutch/slider (part # W10734521), but it will break again in a year or two. So, I tried gluing the ring to the plastic using Super Glue Gel, after roughening up both surfaces with sandpaper first. So, far, it is working great. Only time will tell if that is a permanent fix for the problem.
I recommend unplugging the washer and waiting for about 5 minutes before plugging it back in. If this does not resolve the issue, you may need to use a wet vacuum to remove water from the back drain hose; the door might unlock once the water is removed. If you feel uncomfortable performing these steps, or if they do not work, it would be best to call a professional service technician for assistance.
It’s possible that the issue is with your Main Control Board; however, first, please plug a lamp into the wall outlet to ensure there is power. Subsequently, I recommend having a service technician diagnose the washer before purchasing a new Main Control Board, as the problem could also be related to the display MPC.
The F2E2 error code on a Maytag washer generally refers to a problem with the machine's user interface (UI) or control board. This error might be triggered by a miscommunication between the machine's control panel and the wash cycle settings, and it can sometimes be caused by a power surge or glitch. Here are a few troubleshooting steps you can take: Reset the machine: Unplug the washer from the power source for about a minute, then plug it back in. This can sometimes clear the error. Check for power issues: If the washer doesn't power on or the controls don't respond, this could point to a problem with your home's electrical supply or the machine's power cord. Inspect the control board and UI: Look for obvious signs of damage, such as burns or broken components. If you're not comfortable doing this, you should get a professional technician to do it for you. If none of these steps resolve the issue, you'll likely need to call a service technician. They might need to replace the user interface or control board. Please note that working with electronic appliances can be dangerous. If you are not sure about any of these steps, please consult with a professional.
My maytag is about a year old and it starts running water after it completes a cycle 1 maybe 2 minutes later it starts filling with water again then ill have to pull the clothes on drain and spin please help in this matter thanks
Thank you for having videos like yours. This is hands down the worst washing machine. I have ever wasted money on.
Worked like a charm moms happy again😊
Wonderful!
We have had this washer one month and have an error. Great video thank you.
Glad it helped!

Does ANYTHING work properly on this machine????? Ten year warranty and it has all these error codes right from the start.

F7E4, replaced the slider and gearcase assembly. Still doesnt get past sensing before it says wash complete.
Also replaced the clutch and still has same code and operates the same. On the verge of just purchasing a different washer at this point
I can’t pull this up bc the screen has the F2E2 contact service. It won’t let me do anything.

Most likely it is a bad slider or clutch.
