7000 අධික ශ්‍රී ලාංකිකයන් සමගින් ලංකාවේ කෑම, බීම වර්ග, එලවලු සහ පලතුරු, තියෙන කඩ මන්ඩියක් ඇතුලු විශේෂාංග රාශියක් තියෙනවා. මේක තමයි එංගලන්තේ ලොකුම ශ්‍රී ලාංකික Event එක. Guest Artists විදිහට ආවේ දිනේශ් ගමගේ සහ Romaine Wills .

The Festival of Cricket (FoC) 2024 was held at the Hainault Recreation Ground on 07 July 2024 under the patronage of the High Commissioner of Sri Lanka to the United Kingdom. Over 8000 British Sri Lankans from all parts of the UK attended the event.

The FoC, known as the largest community event in the UK and considered as one of the largest in Europe, is a highly anticipated annual social event among the British Sri Lankan community. The FoC brings the largest overseas Sri Lankan community together in the spirit of cricket, spreading good-will and camaraderie. Since its inception in 1989, with Old Boys Associations of six schools, the FoC has grown into a major platform uniting over thirty old pupils’ associations representing a wide range of schools in Sri Lanka.

Festival of Cricket (FOC) is an Awe inspiring/ Unifying, Annual One day event, popular amongst the UK resident Sri Lankans.
This event held every year since 1989, has been firmly established, as the most popular event in the social calendar of the UK Sri Lankan community, together with visitors and well wishes.
The objective is through the distant and not so distant past connections, to create close bonds of Fellowship.
The High Ideals of FOC are to continuously Rekindle and Strengthen the Sri Lankan Community in the UK, across all Sri Lankan Communities, with a Strict Non-political and no affiliations/involvements.
The main attraction of the day, is a ‘knock out’ cricket competition between the participating teams, played simultaneously on eight cricket pitches, culminating late afternoon in a final match, to battle out for the year’s Winners Title.
The Tournament underpins numerous activities happening around the extensive grounds, to keep the Guests/Visitors engaged, entertained, fed and occupied. These include live on stage entertainment and with music throughout the day, a Children’s fun fair, a Bazaar with traditional Sri Lankan and international food stalls, Beer Tent plus commercial and trade stalls.
The day offers everyone fun, excitement, where social interactions and chance, surprise meetings happen, getting together, meeting families, friends, to include long lost ones too, who have come from the world over, to enjoy the camaraderie and rekindle old and new acquaintances.
proceeds from the event are made to Cancer Research UK, Anthony Nolan, Cancer Relief Sri Lanka and other needy UK and SL Causes, Member’s school Charities and communities, throughout the year, in collaboration with our Sponsors and Partners.
