Terrific video, thanks for sharing! Glad you got to make your trip. Fun fact: WestJet has ended its relationship with the contract carrier that operated the Saab planes for regional service, so no more WS flights on that aircraft type. Your trip was one of a kind!
Hi, so we had a connecting flight from Calgary so we didn’t go through “normal” passport control. We went through the connections area which had lots of screen for you to manually declare if you were bringing anything into the country. And because our connecting flight was within Canada, we didn’t need to go through passport control. I think the visa we got the eTA, which does allow you to stay for up to 6 months, but on our form we had to state when our return flight was for.
Hi, the connection was fine. We didn't go through official customers, you went through this small area where you declare if you have/havent brought anything into the country then the system takes a photo of you and prints out and then you have to show it to this security person who lets you through into the airport for your connection. It was pretty straight forward :)

Oh wow!!! Thanks for letting me know!
Not too bad if the food is served in time and the in-flight entertainment playlist is good :D

Flying to Edmonton via Calgary next year. How was the connection for you? Did you go through customs in Calgary?

@@BeccaW thankyou so much! It was the only thing that I wasn't sure about and there is no information on WestJet's website😅

you have been on a long haul flight to Singapore when you were 3 remember x😂
Doesn’t count cos I don’t remember it 😂
Plus it wouldn’t make for a good title “second time on a long haul flight” 😂
