I'm so glad you made the decision to bring back Spelunky play, even if it's only for a bit. You're one of my top 2 Let's Players, the other being good ol' Cryaotic. Fun fact: He actually did bring balance to the force, by the end the sith and jedi where evenly matched with only two on either side. Guess the Jedi didn't realize they had a massive advantage.
Northernlion, protip: Those caves idols you can steal without activating the trap if you somehow destroy the blocks the idol is resting on. Usually this is most easily accomplished by using a bomb. This should help you out a lot on reliably getting enough money early on for bombs and whatnot - without leaving you short of being able to get the ankh.

No. You can, however, start later on in the game once you unlocked that but like Isaac you have to gather stuff from earlier levels if you want better chances later on or even if you want to be able to get to the harder parts of the game like Hell or the City of Gold

That shows to me you're improving your knowledge and it's sinking in. Now a little more luck with those altars showing up twice for a Kapala and Hell will be within your grasp again :)
That thing you said about dreaming is very logical, actually. Scientists believe our brain uses dreaming to process the previous day, to better our selves at what ever we must.
It is scientifically proven that we learn while sleeping. Whether you're studying for an exam, practicing a stunt or playing a video game, your brain improves on it while sleeping.
A lot of people don't 'like' videos despite actually liking the video. There are ways to automate it (in Chrome) but of course thats a bit silly for the majority. It's just how the world works.
I know you think you did terribly NL and you really did, but this was the best episode yet. Sure any 2 bit chump and win, but only a skilled man can make failure entertaining. I was laughing most of the episode.
I have a suggestion, in the PC version of Spelunky i always bomb the platform beneath the idol and it doesn't trigger the boulder. Try doing that it might not have been fixed.
Northernlion, how about an episode in which you try to kill every shopkeeper you come across? I think that some practice in dealing with them might be useful in future runs Thanks for another great video, keep it up
I'm playing Spelunky on the PC and really hope it will see the updated version. Are you still going down those four tiles to the exit door, set down the damsel and then toss a rope to get up again? I'm on episode 12 and always wish you'd just drop the damsel off that cliff and save yourself the rope. :-)
I know I should be happy enough with the PC version and I am not complaining.. But i would be happy to pay for a Spelunky game with updated graphics and controls. AKA this version. :) *Note* I have no idea if this version will ever be on PC. Just keeping hope alive!

There has been this sort of gray hazy film of ...well gray that makes it look like I'm watching a spelunky video through a chain smoker's hellpit in the last recent spelunky videos (2-3? at least 2). What's up with that?

I have to say. I like the Spelunky runs more than the Issac ones. Probably because there's still more to do in Spelunky other than challenge runs.
