One thing I notice about Zenyou is he walks a lot instead of dashing. That's one thing I can separate from Ally who just dashes around like a mad man. He walks and does down tilt a lot.
Ally does u turns and dash turn arounds, where when you run one way, turn the other way in your skid animation and immediately press back the way you were going you can act. it's a good fake out, but I agree walk is real good. Diddy has longer tilts than Mario, fair, banana (usually), and a crawl that can create more pressure walking forward and back than Mario can.
Oh you said Zenyou, not Zero. Yeah, Zenyou has a very nuanced style to Mario. He's always been my favorite. He's the Void of Mario's. That Socal style.
There are two real good ways of putting on pressure with a character like Mario. You can rush in and overwhelm them, like Ally, or you can slowly push forwards and extend your zone. That's what I feel is optimal for a character like Mewtwo, where you want to force your zone into theirs while maintaining spacing to remain safe.
IMO, I think Zenyou has really great combos, better than Ally or Anti but I feel like Ally has the overall better reads and Anti is somewhere in the middle.

Zenyou is honestly one of the most underrated players in the country.
The man's combo's are next-level. If his neutral and habits just get slightly better, he'd be the best for sure.

This set was insane. Something little I noticed in the final game, while Zenyou was doing the upair combo, ZeRo switched his DI after each upair so Zenyou couldn't position himself for the 2 coin b reverse upb. Smart DI saved him that stock, and that set (shoulda DI'd away from the platform on the BF game tho lol)

I was here live, and it was one of the hypest sets I've ever watched. My throat was hoarse afterwards.
Worked all weekend so my plan was to chill out by watching some smash, nothing fancy just hoped for some good reads and zoning. This set almost had me jumping out of my chair though. Too much hype for me to handle lol. Best thing to stumble upon as a closure to the week =)

This match was legendary. I can barely even type right now I'm shaking so much. So much clutch factors. Both of these guys are practically legends in my book, but hats off to zero for pulling through in the end AND for making me look like an idiot in front of the fam when I threw my headphones off eating dinner XD
I've never really seen Anti's combos but that game 3 combo is downright Zenyou to the core. When he gets a combo in rage he'll take it to the top in every sense. Hype set.

Zenyou totally had the 3-1 win over ZeRo... I mean, game 3 was a little lucky, had the beautiful bright angels on his side there, but yeah, they just weren't there for game 4. At all. Still. He had the set win.

right from the beggining of the match i could tell right away from the playstyle, how different Zenyou is from Ally
idk why Zero got hit by the usmash at the end of Game 1 but in theory the upsmash that won that game isnt a good upsmash. Zenyou definitely risked dying when he threw that out. The commentators were right to call that Zero didn't expect it, if he was even slightly ready to react to it Zenyou would have lost that game. Guess Zenyou just doesn't care and will do that kinda thing lol

I know it's 2 years later and diddy kinda irrelevant but no he doesn't have invincibility or armor. The attack does have priority though.

Why are everyone saying "most hype match ever"? I saw that live, and although it was good it wasn't hype. Smash 4 is my second favorite game of the franchise competitively speaking (first is 64), but there are some people who just get too overhyped with the simplest spike or up air string.
The only nail biting moment was that game 4 jablock.
+Breno Manhaes Because everybody has opinions? for me it was one of the hypest sets I've watched because it was such a rollercoaster of emotions and great plays from both parts. Zenyou pulled off an Anti to clutch it out to win game 3, and Zero did the same with that "simple" spike after almost dying at 70% from that crispy Mario's jab lock in game 4; in the end either one could have won.
But as I said, everybody has their opinions, so it's okay if you think otherwise.
Stocke i still didnt see much but whatever, i respect your opinion. I was like really mad because a big part of the smash 4 community thinks that spikes are just for style and disrespect, when actually they are the most optimal punish.

Mario is pretty good yeah, i main him with Luigi, but for my point of view since the nerf of the kills setups (which should have never happened for me coz Luigi, like Mario has some difficulty to kill), Luigi is to much underrated and Mario overrated(a little bit). I don't undestand with on the TL official Luigi is 29. He should be top 15. High/Top tier
The weaknesses u talked about for Luigi are exactly the same for Mario. That's why he always have a bad matchup with characters who have a nice spacing and strong neutral (Rosalina, Cloud). Mario has no approach option, his recovery is bad, more than luigi's which is pretty solid with the jump. Yes, she becomes bad when he looses his jump, but Luigi is hard to edgeguard even if his recovery is predictible, only character like Sheik, ZSS who can go really down is able to edgeguard his jump+up b. If Mario (or cloud) for example tries to, he will die anyway coz of his recovery, or he'll get a cyclon gimp.
Mario and Luigi have the same weaknesses : approach options, spacing, and recovery. That's why when i meet some assholes in glory with a campy Sonic/Rosalibitch, it's really hard to win. For approach options, Luigi is even better coz of his fair which not punishable, and his down b which is really fast, but laggy and punishable
The only point where Mario is better than Luigi is the mobility in the air, the fall speed. And maybe, the ability to kill.
Yeah in every case, a landing lag, a missed grab, or a rollout/roll in, and it's a grab for Mario or Luigi at low-mid %. Still, Luigi has some kill setup with cyclon or up b, even with back air at the ledge, but it extremely depends of the DI for the two last. The double jump+rising cyclon kills Mario and med weight at 85% (true combo, but the last hit must be sweetspoted). Same as light weight, around 75%, true combo again, but it needs again the last hit sweetspoted (at the center of the cyclon i tkink, not in the leg or arms of luigi)
There's too some "combo", like dthrow + weak nair+ up b or cyclon. but not guaranted

Anti and Ally are better
Anti is not better than Zenyou, is not even close. Ally maybe is better, but Zenyou do more combos with mario than Ally, the only problem with Zenyou is that should have to learn to do more smash attacks to win and be more consistent, nothing else. But is still a great player. sorry for the spelling, im a spanish speaker.
